My computer will no longer connect to the iTunes store.

I have asked iTunes technical support for help.
They have suggested removing all apple programs (in a specific order) and reinstall them (also in ordeer).
I have done this and still cannot connect.
I am sure someone else has had this same problem and can help.

Perfect, thanks.
When I try connecting to the iTunes store the block at the top of the iTunes screen says "Accessing iTunes Store..." and the horizontal barber poll scrolls and scrolls and scrolls. It never connects. Task manager shows iTunes.exe is using 50% of the CPU.
Doublechecking ... did the iTunes Support people work through the following troubleshooting document with you?
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
Thanks also for the kind words. Nothing too major in terms of aftershocks over the past couple of weeks (although where we are, the shakes coming from offshore of New Brighton are quite noisy and noticable):

  • With verson 12.01.26 my iTunes can no longer connect to the iTunes store or iTunes Match

After downloading iTunes version 12.01.26 on my PC my iTunes can no longer connect to the iTunes store or iTunes Match. My itunes displayed a message at the top that it was connecting to the iTunes Store. After closing my laptop and opening it again after a few hours, there was a message stating that my computer was unable to connect to iTunes because of a problem with my internet connection. My laptop is connecting fine with the internet, yet not through the iTunes program, or at least it seems that way. I'm not positive but  feel like the issue may have stemmed when I downloaded the new version, I think maybe I messed up the process somehow by closing my computer or something.

  • TS1398 Why can I still connect to the internet, but I can no longer connect to the iTunes store?

My family recently gave me an iPad for Mother's Day. It's been really awesome, but suddenly today I began getting an error: "Cannot connect to iTunes Store."
The process looks great right up to the download. Then, after the icon appears with the status bar, just before you would expect the status bar to start filling out...BAM, error!
I can connect to the internet just fine. I am able to sync via WiFi without trouble. I'm pretty sure I have tried all the troubleshooting on-and-offs. I even did a restore.
Am I missing something? Why would it work fine one minute and get all quirky the next?

  • ITunes will 'mostly' not connect to the iTunes Store

So, I have been having thisproblem for a couple of months, but I've been doing all my iTunes storepurchases on my iPad so it hasn't been a problem.  With the new iPhonecoming out and moving back from Android to iOS I need to get my iTunes store workingso I can add podcasts to my iPhone.
    So, here is the problem.
When I click on the"iTunes Store" I like an image that looks like this http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/jtgates/ituneshelp.jpg and I can ever get any images at allto ever load.  I can click on my email address in the top right and viewmy account but other than that I can't get any more information from the iTunesstore at all.  I have tried everything I can find on these forums andacross the web.  I figured I would plead for help from you kind peoplebefore I just completely reinstall my OS.
    Additional Facts.
OS Win 7 that exceeds the minimumrequirements.
I have the most current versionof iTunes
I can access the iTunes storefrom both my iPad and MacBook from the same connection.
When running the diagnostictest inside iTunes everything passes.
deleting the data in/Users/AppData.....Apple/ it does not fix the problem
Completely uninstalling andreinstalling does not fix it. (both iTunes and quicktime)
Turning off my firewall andmicrosoft security does not fix it.
Making a new user and trying toload iTunes on that account does not fix it.
I can't find anything in myrouters settings that would cause this one computer to have issues with iTunes.
When I click on my email addressall of the normal links come up across the top of the store (Home Music TVShows....) but when clicking any of these I get nowhere.
As far as I can tell I can getsome information from the itunes store (apps and a bit of HTML) but other thanthat I can
I hope someone can help, andthanks for taking time to read!

  • After replacing the logic board in my Macbook Pro it will no longer connect to the App Store.

I recently had to replace the logic board in my early 11 Macbook Pro (first gen i7).  With the release of Yosemite just a few weeks away I am trying to update from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to Mavericks.  I'm afraid if I don't after this update it will become much harder.  I always lived by the rule if it ain't broke and for a long time Snow Leopard worked very well for what I needed to do.  All my software is current and there are no updates pending.  All my Keychain Access System Roots Certificates are good and I have no problems getting into iTunes.  I thought it might be something on Apples end but after 36 hours it's still the same problem.  When I try to open the App Store I get this:
Any ideas.  I don't use the App Store that much but until this I had never had this problem before.
    Thanks for the help.

Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. • All of a sudden, when I open my itunes program I can no longer connect to the itunes store.

All of my songs and files are still in the library, but when I click on "store" - nothing.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • I'm having some strange (& Inconsistent) errors when I try to connect to the iTunes store..

Hello there, so I was enjoying listening to music and using my various apps when suddenly I could no longer connect to the iTunes store. I went to update my apps and I was told itunes could not connect to the store 'Error 310'. I went to go online and post a question only to find my account had been suspended until I changed the password. I did so and no one managed to reply to my problem. Anyway, later that day suddenly it did connect, however when I tried to download updates I was given 'error 8003'.
So, I did as Apple support instructed, and deleted my downloads folder, and stopped my firewall, and stopped all other programmes so my computer was running on bare bones, even my speakers were had no software. However this made no difference, and I returned later that day to find that, instead of error 8003, I was stuck with error 310 again. I am a little confused...
Finally, I have checked and doubled checked and cannot find firewall or programme conflicts, and other wifi devices in my house seem to access the store succesfully.
I would like to update itunes but, is it possible to update it from the website without the total reinstall? Will all my music be safe? It could just be my current version has decided not to play ball anymore.
I'll be checking back here regularly, but thank you in advance. Also, to prewarn you, myself and computers do not always get on very well... I'm reasonably good at using them to be fair but since my first ICT lesson it's been known that computers don't seem to behave for me. So if you give me instructions please feel free to treat me like an idiot and spell them out.

Sorry I gave this a 'this helped me' but after a long struggle I found some ticked box somewhere from some unauthorised chrome extension blaaa....... the link you gave was great, not only did it confirm all the bad things google is supposed to be up to it provided a better browser. Cheers man.
Anyone who find this; I disabled all extension in chrome. I then searched the word proxy in the settings section. A button came up, "change proxy settings" I clicked on it. Earlier it was greyed out as an extension was interefering.. It brought up a box with my own settings from my computer. Then I clicked LAN settings, then unchecked the 'Use a proxy server' button.
P.S. If you're using chrome, bail, and dowload Komodo Dragon. It's virtually identical, but you're not tracked, and you can use chrome extensions, and you can quickily transfer your chrome preferences into it.

  • I cannot connect to the itunes store from my PC

For some reason, starting about 2 months ago, I can no longer connect to the iTunes store from my PC.  Does anyone have any idea why this would occur?
Obviously all my internet connections are fine and it is not a firewall or filter issue.

Could you walk us through what happens (when you try to connect to the Store) in some more detail, please?

  • ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store?

Out of the blue I can no longer connect to the iTunes Store - never had a problem before, haven't changed anything. According to the help page I should call my ISP - I did, they said they do not block any websites, I have the latest version of iTunes, i don't know what to do - its been 3 days now.

    I have the same problem!
I upgraded iTunes and Safari about a week ago and have since been unable to sign in and buy music. I can access the store and preview songs and albums but when I click to buy and sign in, iTunes hangs and comes back with Error -3256. I've read that error 3256 has something
to do with Airport express or extreme and remote speakers but I'm not
    using any of these.
I've reinstalled both iTunes and Safari and called Apple support and my ISP but still haven't resolved the issue.

  • I am unable to connect to the Itune Store, it says the network connection timed out. The internet is working for everything else. Any idea?

I can no longer connect to the ITunes Store. CAn you help? When I do the diagnostics it says Securie link to itunes store failed.

I think I may be having the same problem.  "We could not complete your iTunes Store request.  The network connection timed out.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."   All tests pass the diagnostics.  iPhone restored to factory settings in DFU mode, but when beginning to sync I get this error message.  I've been searching online for fixes and tried several suggestions, but nothing worked so far.  (disabled antivirus, firewall, ie settings, uninstall/reinstall itunes...)  I'm getting very frustrated & hoping someone on here can help.

  • My Mac Book Pro suddenly will no longer connect to the Internet at my house. Help?

My Mac Book Pro suddenly will no longer connect to the Internet at my house. My son's MacBook connects just fine. My MacPro connects at work, at Starbucks, etc. just fine, but not at my house. My son's however has no problem whatsoever. I assume that since his computer connects that the router and modem is not the problem. And since my computer connects everywhere but here . . . . it is not a hardware issue. When directly connecting my MacBook Pro to the modem or router the problem was the same. . . no connection. Help?

Wow... I found this in another thread from the user DocBlueDog, I did this and it worked.
Looks like Apple's latest update screwed up a lot of iPod owners... that's horrible.

Just got off the phone with amazing tech support guy at www.ipodresq.com -
He talked me through this without having to send in my ipod. AMAZING.
(This is a second hand description. Evaluate it and try it at your own risk).
So disconnet your ipod. Quit Itunes.
Go to your utilities folder and look for ipod updater.
Inside you'll see a folder IPOD SOFTWARE UPDATER and DISK UTILITY.
Open DISK UTILITY AND the most recent updater IPOD UPDATER 2006-01-10.
Reset your ipod by holding down the menu key and the center key together until an apple logo appears. Plug in your ipod.
Ideally you will see it in disk utilities. In the ipod updater go ahead and hit RESTORE. Yes this will wipe your ipod of all data but hopefully most of it is in itunes or on your computer.
When updater is done HIT CANCEL and then quit updater and quit disk utilities. It should be on your desktop.
Just to be safe disconnect your ipod and reconnect it. (superstition).
Launch itunes. It may attempt to update your entire itunes library. Mine said there was not enough room so I just hit cancel.
Then I couldn't drag anything to the ipod because the ipod options were set to automatically update and I had to change it to manually update. Now I am relouding my librarys to my ipod which is working with my computer again.
WHY I should have to deal with calling apple and being told my ipod needed to be sent in to be repaired is beyond me. Love this companies products but wish they would step up more on support.
    Good luck.
    All best,
    Rob
