My computer will not turn on but the psu light is on.
My Hp Slimline Will not Turn on. Last Night I Turned It Off And this morning i Turned it on and about 5 minutes later the computer turned its self off. The Cpu Light is on. But the Power outlet is okay and i Tried Everything. HELP!
First, what is the model or product number of your pc?
Next, what exactly happens?
Turn off your computer and your monitor.
Disconnect the power cord from the pc and from the wall outlet.
Disconnect any external devices other than the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Disconnect any printers, cameras, external hard drives, etc.
Hold in the power button and count to 10. (yes, with no power)
Plug in the power cord directly into a wall outlet and into the pc.
Turn on the computer.
Turn on the monitor.
What happens?
Do we have blue lights on the power buttons for the pc and monitor?
Do any other lights come on?
Do you hear any sounds?
Does anything come on the monitor?
Does the monitor display any message?
On the back of the computer there should be a small light near the power cord - is it on?
Also, how is the monitor connected to the pc? VGA cable with blue ends, DVI with white ends, HDMI?

My iPod 4th generation will not turn on but the backlight is still glowing.
Last night my iPod had been acting up like crashing and not loading apps. I turned it off and then tried to turn it on but it woudn't. The backlight still glows. Any held would be appreciated. :]
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

MBP will not turn on but the power indicator light does
I have read 40 pages of discussion, tried all of the boot up key combinations that are listed on the apple support website, and tried the online chat, but it only covers imac and ipod at this time. Have been an apple fan for 15 years, and currently own three plus the 23" display for this 15"MBP, but I am nearly the end of my patience. I did get it to boot up a couple of times by resetting the PRAM but the reinstall disc is now in the computer (never got a chance to use it because it shut down while I was out of the room) and I can neither get it out or start up with the disc. Battery is fully charged. I just want to do my work. Any help? or should I just try to return it?
Do you have an external (bootable) drive, or even an installation disc that you can try to boot from - would at least let you know if the drive is okay, and you could remove the problematic program. If you can do this, also try repairing the permissions of the internal hard drive (use Disk Utility) - sometimes it will help to sort out some stuff.
Even before that, try starting up and "zap the pram" - immediately after the startup chime, hold this key combination - Apple-key + Option-key + P-key + R-key - in that order - hold it down until you force the computer to restart three or four times (ie you'll hear the startup chime three or four times and see the screen flash the same number of times) - release the keys and let the computer try to start up normally. You'd be surprised how many times this will clear up a problem - I still am and I've been doing since 1999. -
BB Curve 8900 died and will not turn on with the red lights on all the time

The Blackberry Curve 8900 I have battery completely drained yesterday afternoon and I could not connect it to a charger until I get back home last night. I plugged the phone in around 11:00 , and even now 8 in the morning still wont be able to switch it on and the red light is on all the time.
Its a brand new one, I dont know what should I do to make it working.

Typically, these batteries do not like to be fully drained...while rare, it has been known to render the battery useless. But, before you jump to that, there are a few diagnostic steps you can take.
Get a known good and fully charged battery -- put in in your BB. See if it works. See if you can charge.
Get a known good other charger, attach it to your BB, see if it charges.
Try a different power outlet.
Give your battery to someone with the same model BB that they know charges fine. See if they can charge it.
The results of these steps will guide you to the root cause...which could be your battery, your BB, your charger, or the wall outlet you were using.

Satellite M100 will not turn on unless the AC adapter is pluged in
I also am having the same problem with my Satellite M100. The computer will not turn on unless the AC adapter is pluged in and switched on at the power socket.
Any ideas as to how to fix this problem? The battery should be fine.

Well, if you are 100% sure that this is not a battery issue, then it must be something working with power supply electronic on the motherboard.
This would mean that this is a hardware problem which cannot be fixed easily but in most cases the faulty part must be replaced.
But at first the notebook should be checked with new battery even the battery can be charged properly, it could be a battery issue too
But these are only suggestions and if you want be 100% sure what part is affected then you should get in contact with an notebook technician in order to run some diagnostic tests... -

My white McBook (2008 or 2009) recently stopped turning on. When I hook up the Magsafe power adapter, the light shows green, but the computer will not turn on, or make a sound. I've tried the re-boot option, but nothing works. I first thought I needed a new battery because the lights at the back are all off, but shouldn't the computer turn on once the power adapter is hooked up and the light on the Magsafe adapter shows green? I'm a computer doofus, so please be kind. Please advise! Thanks in advance.

My iPhone 4s is stuck on a black screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. The phone will not turn on and the iTunes logo as I described only shows up when I plug the phone into the charger or my computer. I have tried the reset in restore mode as well as the DFU? mode and it still will not work. I have the latest version of iTunes on my Mac. My error code was 2002. I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.
Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

These are your options:
1. Restore the iPhoto library from the most recent backup that predates the issue.
Advantages: Always works, if library damage is causing the problem and the backup is intact.
Disadvantages: Impossible if you don't have a backup. All changes made since the backup are lost.
2. Repair or rebuild the library. Be sure to back it up first.
Advantages: May solve the problem with no loss of data.
Disadvantages: May fail. May take a long time if the library is large.
3. Scavenge the library with a third-party application called "iPhoto Library Manager," which you can find in a web search. From the application's menu bar (not the iPhoto menu bar), select Library ▹ Rebuild.
Advantages: All images should be preserved.
Disadvantages: All books, calendars, and slideshows will be lost. -
i have the iphone 3gs and ive dropped it a few times. when i press the home and lock button, it will not turn on, but when i plug it in, it says in big font IOS 6 and when i slide it open it says connect to itunes or emergency call. it wont turn on when i plug it in to my pc. tips?

M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI card installed, now computer will not turn off
I installed Audiophile 2496 card + "live lite 4" software and now my computer will not turn off. It goes through the motions, but than just reboots. I have to hold the start button to kill it.
