My connection drops frequently; started happening recently. Don't know why. The green light does not go off nor does my computer say I am not connected, but web pages do not load, and either takes a restart, or 5 minutes of waiting.

I'm having the exact same problem - I have an Extreme 4th Gen and the networked harddisk (my fileserver) keeps dropping off and getting disconnected...really very annoying!
Airport Update 7.6 seems to be the culprit - I backed it down to 7.5.2 and it stopped disconnecting but the incessant update notifications (pop-up Airport dialog, blinking green light on the device) and concerns about security moved me back to 7.6.
I wish Apple do something about this.

Internet sessions, VPN session, and connections dropping frequently

I'm in an apartment. This problem started about a week ago. All of my browser sessions, vpn session, and connections such as AIM or netflix drop frequently. I often have to click links twice to get a page to load. I have to reload videos a lot to get them to continue to stream. I am constantly signing in and out of AOL IM.
I believe the problem has to do with several MoCs (coax connections) listed on my router page, and these MoCs have names of other people on them. Until I noticed them a week ago, I had only seen one MoC belonging to me listed on the router connection page.
Thus, I think that something got crossed up of misconfigured in the ONT for my apartment complex. The gateway light on my router stays green as all of these problems happen.
Pinging google.com, I get

Anyone seen this before and know how to get verizon to fix this?
I have had nothing but problems with FIOS since getting it, and I have wasted a lot of time with their "customer support."

IPad crashes often, this started happening recently

Recently the browser (safari) has started crashing, but it also happens when I use apps such as IMDB or CBS News. It doesn't seem to be any specific site or app but it can happen after 1 minute of using it or 20 or 30 minutes.

Restore the iPad to factory settings, then add your content back on, this should fix your problem.

The back and forward browser buttons are NOT ALWAYS available to use, so once I open a web-site I can not go back to what I was looking at previously. This has only started happening recently?

The back and forward browser button always works when we first get online, and then over some time it will not work and then will work again (working again is happening less). I have re-started the computer many times to fix the issue.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I go to a website, I get a menu of the website (a list down the left-hand side of the page) rather than the home page itself. Using internet explorer, I get to the home page. Why not on Firefox? It just started happening recently

I updated firefox a couple weeks ago, but updating has never caused this problem.
I installed a program to help the computer run more efficiently, called "Fix-it Essentials," and that may have caused the problem, though it didn't for the first couple weeks I used it.

What is error code 10210 - it only started happening recently

Have had my PowerMac for months - in the last few weeks I have started to get 10210 error codr notifications - and then cannot start a new app - have to re-boot

Hello mxmoore, and a belated welcome to Apple Discussions.
Where are these error codes appearing, in a pop-up dialogue box or are your seeing them in the console?
Does this event affect a particular app you are trying to start, or all apps? Can you repeat it or is it random (unpredictable)?
Does this result in your Mac freezing?
Some things to consider.
1. Have at least 15% available space free on your hard drive. Macs like the wide open spaces.
2. Run Disk utility over the HD doing a Repair Disk, but you will need to boot onto the DVD to do this via the DVD's Disk Utility.
+Insert the Install Disk 1 into the drive and then select Restart; when you hear the chime hold down C key until the apple logo appears.+
+This will take you to the installation software, but you do not want to install.+
+Select your language, then go up to the top menu bar and navigate to the Disk Utility application.+
+Select the hard drive on the left, then go to the First Aid pane where you can click on Repair Disk.+
+If it finds errors, repeat the process until it reports no errors.+
+After these repairs, quit the Installer, and restart normally.+
+Once restarted normally run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility application found on your hard drive in Application/Utilities.+
See how you go with that mx and I hope this general advice/maintenance gets rids of that annoyance for you.

When I am in a secure website (bank) firefox does not allow the browser to move to another page but there is an "allow" button. However, when I press the "allow" button, it crashes out of the website. Please help. This has started happening recently.

Sync continually fails with "Unknown error." Been happening recently (used to work). Anyone else having this problem?

Mac OS X 10.6.7, Firefox 4.0.1.
Sync Now from the menu likewise fails.
Attempting to get the sync quotas from the Preferences also comes back with a similar error.

To add a clarifying point in my case, which may or may not be universal for the others having this problem as well: it came within minutes of the update to 4.0.1, so it seems likely it has to do with the new version. OP said it used to work but started happening recently, so it could be the same cause as mine, given the recent release of the update, and OP's indication that 4.0.1 is also in use.

Frequent Internet Connection Drops

I am a loyal Linksys user. Have used linksys routers for 3 years with no issues. Have recently experienced internet connection drops from my wireless computers, while the computers which are wired, access the internet without problems. I have 2 Lan connections (1 is a computer directly to router, the other is a Slingbox and Tivo box connected through a Slinglink Powerline Bridge). Wirelessly, I have 3 laptops and a Tivo box connected.
The problem began with my WRT54G v1.1 and now is occurring with the replacement WRT54G v6. The problem seems to be occurring with a conflict with the Slinglink. If I disconnect the Slinklink from the router and wirelessly repair the connections on the computers, access is restored without any reboots of router, modem or computers. Once access achieved, I can reconnect the Slinglink until the next drop.
More information can be provided as I have been monitoring this for 3 months. The problem is with the router and not the computers, Tivo, DSL modem or internet provider. The only common issues appears to be with the Slinglink or it's connections.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

A possibility is to open the links via the right-click context menu or a middle-click in a new tab to make sure that Firefox sees them as regular links.

Presuming you get the chime, most of your Mac hardware is working and has passed the first part of the power-on self-test.
If the screen comes on, basic graphics is working.
The dark gray Apple is not present inside the Mac -- it must be loaded from a boot device. If the dark gray Apple appears, at least one of your boot devices has some capabilities. The flower petal/gear moves while Darwin is initializing and loading. If it stops immediately, something is terribly wrong.
When the screen turns blue, Mac OS X has loaded and your graphics card transitions to Interrupt-driven operation. LoginWindow task draws the login screen, and Mac OS X is ready for login.
What could be the problem depends on where in the process it stops, and whether the power light is blinking.
