My contact list is "stuck" on my FaceTime screen blocking half the image. Thoughts?

This happened when I went to my contacts list to initiate a facetime call and at the same moment a facetime call from another party came in and I answered it. Now I can't get rid of the contacts list from half of the video screen on facetime. Any thoughts on how to make it disappear without losing all my contacts? Thanks.

PS: Making a face time call from this contacts list makes it disappear only for the duration of the call. When I hang up, it reappears.

Go to Settings, iTunes & App Stores, click on the Apple ID. Sign out. Click again and sign in with your Apple ID.

I can't seem to merge a redundant contact list with a current one. If I delete the redundant contact list I will lose all of my contacts that I have (still) been inadvertently adding using this as my default contact list.

When I was working with my old job I had a contact list on my phone that was associated with my job's personal email address. Now that I have a new mac and am now a new full time student I would like to use my new uni email address as my default contact list. I have now made this change but have only just realised that I have been adding contacts for a period of months using this now redundant list.
When I sync my computer with my phone (which is working great using iTunes), I am unable to get all of my recent contacts.
I have three groups:
"All contacts" - I understand this is all of my contacts on my phone
"All from My Mac" - This is my new list and constitutes around 80% of my contacts
"Contacts" - This is the old list from my previous employer and contains (I think) 100% of my contacts. Well all of my useful ones anyway - maybe 99%. I would like to delete this group as I don't use the email address anymore and don't work for them!
The end result that I am looking for, is a complete list of ALL of my contacts synced with my computer in Outlook, and to be able to delete my old work contact list!
Please help (you bunch of legends).

Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes.
Click Store > Check for Available Downloads...

Dear All, i am facing two issues : 1) from the contact list, if i select any contact then i can either Call him, Email to him or write on his/ her facebook wall. why SMS option is not avaliable here. 2)from the SMS scree, i am not getting whole list of contacts here. what i am doing right now, i am writing down the contact number from the call list and then manully putting the number in SMS screen

Check that in contacts the numbers are listed as "mobile". If they are called anything else such as " work" "home" or "home 2", they will not appear in the SMS list nor be available in contacts to send an SMS even if the numbers are mobile numbers. If you have allocated any description other than"mobile" you will have to edit them.
The system won't allow a contact to have 2 "mobile" numbers even if in reality the contact does have 2.

My contact list on my iPod has gone. In iTunes the info section for contacts doesn't show anything like 'family' - just tick box for all contacts. Any ideas on how to correct this? iPod is 3 yrs old...

My ipod no longer shows any contacts from my address book. iTunes when syncing in the info section - contacts - only shows the all contacts tick box, not categories such as 'family', 'friends' etc.
Any thoughts on why this is please?

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

Often after I've selected a Bookmark there are remnants of the list of Bookmarks still on my screen outside of the Firefox window. How do I get Firefox to not leave remnants of the Bookmark list?

Often after I've selected a bookmark from my list of Bookmarks in Firefox the screen doesn't refresh properly and parts of the list of Bookmarks remains on the screen. The remnant is always above and/or below the window that contains Firefox. If I move the window around the desktop gets properly repainted. However there is still a remnant of the bookmark list in my task bar. Is there a fix for this anywhere?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

"Recent contacts" list showing old contacts

I see a lot of questions about removing contacts from the new "recent contacts" list, and a lot of solutions saying to hide the list altogether. however, there is only one contact I want to remove from the list because they are not recent. I found one solution stating that you remove them, search for their phone number in messages, click the i and then click "remove from recent contacts" but this does not work because all messages, email, phone calls, and facetime from this contact was so old that it has already been purged (thus I don't get the i when I enter the phone number). This is a business contact, so I need to keep her number, but there are a lot more recent contacts from the past 3 months that I would rather have on my recent contacts list because they are recent. Is it a software glitch that she is still showing up on my recent contacts list? Is there any way to remove this contact specifically without hiding the list altogether?

It is standard that the personal list is not updated.
it is personal, you have to update it yourself.

I have a requirement for updating the contact list from CSV file and updating/ adding and deleting the changes in the SharePoint list using PowerShell script. List is also synced with outlook.
The problem arises, when we delete an item from the list using PS, the item (which was earlier synced with outlook) is not getting deleted from outlook.
Strange behavior : when we perform the same deletion operation manually from the SharePoint UI, every thing works fine as required.

Hi Kumar,
Please remove the codeline $List.Update();, then run your code again, it works for me.
You may need to firstly delete the synced contacts list within Outlook to remove those undeleted accounts, then re-connect the SharePoint contacts list to outlook, then run your modified Powershell code.

One one device go to Settings>iCloud and turn off Calendar.
Better is to create a new App ID and use that for iCloud to separate all the iCloud features (mail, contacts, calendar, and some other things) You can also use the ID for Messages and FaceTime
You can create a NEW account without using a credit card by using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

We are using Jabber for Windows 9.1.0, we are surprised to see that contact list is empty. Do we need to manually add all the users? We have Presence server integrated with LDAP.
How can we add all the users to be appeared on contact list of all the users?

Did you configure the contact list in IM&P so that you had them when you logged in????
If not, yes, your contact list will be empty and you need to add the users manually.
