My contacts cannot see me, I can see them.

My Contacts cannot see me. I can see them clearly, also can see myself. They get a message saying connection slow will resume video when connection improves.
These contacts are in various locations so seems highly unlikely they are all affected. This problem started yesterday.

This may be due to your internet connection not providing 128 Kbps upstream, as indicated by the message received.
A 128-Kbps or better upstream and downstream Internet connection. Performance may vary according to network throughput and usage.

    To restore from a back up made through iTunes, follow these instructions.
    To restore from a back up made through iCloud, try the following:
    The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs.
    Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
    Start the restore from iCloud back up.
    Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
    As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
    Wait for the time out confirmation.
    Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
    Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
    Delete any iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
    Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
    May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

    When I open Netflix on Apple TV2 I no longer can see "Suggestions for You", "Browse", "Movies"...etc.  I can see instant queue, and logout.  I restarted and get same results.  Anyone else? 

    I've had similar issues with the Macs on my network (including the Mini on the TV); I generally cannot browse the streaming catalog with images and lose various levels of connects to Netflix CDNs (I usually lose all images of titles, in most cases cannot access the stream, in some cases can access the streams). This appears in my case to be a Mac specific issue (Windows machines, iPad, iPhone -- even Ubuntu, though it can't stream, can browse the library and get images from the Netflix CDN). Unitl today, a router reboot, clearing all caches and cookies, and some screaming would seem to get it working again ... Netflix (via phone) told me to contact Apple; their support script for Safari isn't even for 5.1 ... ugh ...

  • Inserted a png PIP into my clip, can see it fine, can see it playing with the clip as expected when moving the play head manually, but cannot get it to play with the clip for preview, pleas help!

    I am sorry if my inquiry here seem dumb but I am a new iMovie user and cannot figure this out.  I inserted a png image into my video clip in the project as PIP, I can see it and move it and can also see it playing with the main clip if I move the play head manually, I can also see the PIP part only playing along with the undelying main clip if I use the Play button in the preview window when the PIP section is selected, however, for the life of me I cannot get it to play with the main clip all together for previewing the entire video via the video play button.  What happens is that the video plays normally and when the PIP section comes in, the video clip stop all motion during the duration of the PIP section and the PIP image itself is simply NOT showing.  Am I missing something really stupid here?  It seems as it the Picture On Picture is a separate clip that plays with the underlying main video clip if selected and played by itself but it is not part of the video clip and will not play with it.  What am I missing here, can anyone please help?

    The easiest way to get up and running is to convert your MP3s to MP4s (obviously there won't be a video track). The following link links to a file that was an MP3 that I converted to an MP4 using QT Player Pro. When you go to export the files, make sure you click on "Options" and then check the box for "Enable Streaming" in the Streaming tab. It should stream flawlessly using QT Player. rtsp://rhsstreamit.rih.org/testmp4/Scorpion.mp4
    Make sure you place the media to be streamed in the proper folder. You should only get a "404" message if the physical file doesn't exist.

  • Bridge cannot build criteria, goes on and on and then tells me to clear cache, which I've done, but it still cannot open. I can see everything in the Mac Finder no problem. What to do?

    I recently moved all of my images to a Mac from a Dell. Everything was perfect, but a few weeks ago I started getting an error message in Bridge that it could not read (not sure of this) the criteria and that I should go into preferences and clear the cache. Which I did. Now when I open bridge it sees a few images and then says it's building criteria, for like hours, and then the same error comes back. I don't know what to do.  Any ideas? I can see everything in Finder or search, everywhere but bridge. it's the same for .psd, .jpg or raw.

  • Can't see Playlists but can see songs when using iTunes in iPhoto

    When I make a slideshow in iPhoto and try to select a playlist I made in iTunes, I can't see the playlists. I can see individual songs, but the playlists don't show up. I get the window with Sample, Garage Band and then iTunes, but there are no sub-categories under iTunes and none appear when I make the window larger. I'm a new mac user, so am I missing something obvious?

    I have the same issues since I upgraded to iTunes 7. I dont even see the iTunes playlist in the iWeb. Any help/information is appreciated.

    I don't know when and how it happened (maybe when I updated to 4.0), but suddenly 75% or more of my contacts disappeared from the iPhone. There is an old back-up copy in iTunes, but it is completely outdated.
    The funny thing is that if I do a serach for themissing contacts in teh Search facility of the iPhone, I find them.
    Note: Since I upgraded to 4.0, all my contacts are grouped in something called "All" (that did not exist before).
    Just for the record, I'm using an iPhone 3GS.
    Is there any way to bring back the missing contacts (which are there, somewhere, in the iPhone, because I can find them when I do a search) into the list of contacts?

    Couldn't it be that the iPhone has created a group called "All Contacts" that only contains "some" of the contacts? In that case, where would the other contacts be? If I create a new group, it will be empty. So I don't see how would moving contacts from teh "ALl Contacts" group to the new empty group could help.
    Another problem is that at first I had only the contacts I had imported from a previous cell phone. Later on, when I thought I was making a backup of these contacts with iTunes, it imported all the info from my Outlook Contacts, 95% of which I did not want in my iPhone. But anyways, that happened long before this problem (not being able to access to all the contacts from the iPhone's Phone application and having to look for them with the iPhone's search facility).

  • My laptop won't see internet, but can see the network

    I have Comcast internet service. The Modem is connected to my AirPort Extreme (n + gig-e) and the ethernet is distributed with a linksys gig-e switch. My PowerBook can still see the internet via a wireless connection (g) and the G4 PowerMac can still see the internet via Ethernet through the switch and router, but the MacBook Pro cannot see the internet using either the wired or wireless connection. It gets an IP address (MAC reservation) from the AE and it can connect to the other computers on the network, but it is not seeing the internet. I am assuming there is something screwy happening to the AE because the MacBook Pro connects to the internet just fine when I take it to work and my friend's PC laptop had the same problem on my home network.
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me nuts!

    Seems like it is a DNS issue of some kind.
    I changed the MacBook DNS servers to a bunch of public ones and now it seems to be working again.

  • My iPhone 4 running iOS 7.0.4 deleted all of my stored notes, I'm currently restoring to see if I can retrieve them, is there any way I can restore a specific saved backup?

    So, I just went into my iPhone notes (iPhone 4 iOS 7.0.4), and found that all my notes had been deleted. I did recdently change the mail account I was using, could that be the issue? I'm very worried as I had some bank details and other personal information stored in these notes. Is there any way I can select a specific stored backup to restore from?

    Well, in iTunes, if you had not changed to sync notes to Outlook, that would answer that question. I sync my notes to my Outlook and have never had an issue. The only thing you need to watch is your archive setting. If you have notes set to archive after a certain amount of time, you will find that after non-use on the iPhone, they can seem to disappear. They will just not sync back, but are kept in the archive of Outlook. They are never deleted unless you actually delete them.

    After iPad was updated I can no longer see how I can see and work with my Apps in Itunes and I need to do that.
    I need to be able to upload files to Goodreader and right now I need to download a file recorded in Auria.
    Previously I could easily find my file but now I cannot get access to my iPad/apps

    Regarding device visibility in iTunes try Andrei Cerbu's post here, JF Fourie's post here, or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update.
    Once the device shows in iTunes you should be able to access the file sharing area from the apps tab of the device when connected.
    You may find the apps in question are able to transfer files into Dropbox which might provide an alternate transfer mechanism.
