My Contract Has An Extra 5 Months On It

So apparently my part of our family contract somehow has an extra 5 months on it. Not sure how this happened except possibly when I had phone issues earlier this year. Long story short, I got a BlackBerry Bold 9930 that had issues, as did the next 5 refurbished replacements. I got told that I couldn't get a 4g phone even though they were cheaper than the Bold was (lol) but they didn't have any other 3g phones to give me (since all those models were so old). After some time on the phone with CS (a lot of time) and asking what my ETF would be, she said they could give me a new one if I paid the subsidized price (still less than I paid for my Bold originally mind you), and I guess they used that opportunity to tack extra months on to my contract without fully explaining to me what was going to happen. Of course that's for my line only, the other 2 lines on the plan have the original end date.
I guess my question is is there any recourse for this whole mess? Because at this point after finding out about this, I really just want to pay the ETF and go elsewhere if they're going to do stuff like this. But of course, with my contract somehow extended, that'd be an extra $50 as well which may have been the point since I asked about the ETF when on the phone with CS because I was getting so frustrated with the lack of help.
I've tried going into the Verizon store locally for help but they are questionable at best and I really don't want to get back on the phone and get quick-talked into another situation like this. I like the Verizon service, but I really have not at all been satisfied with their customer service at all thus far (my mother has also had several problems, one of which was resolved and handled very poorly) and would rather go back to my previous carrier where I could actually get my issues resolved.

Well I did figure that, but it wasn't explained to me that that was what was happening; she made it sound like they were doing some exception to work around the whole thing. Wouldn't even have agreed to that if they would have adequately explained it to me, but they didn't. The whole situation was a bit ridiculous in my opinion; they wouldn't give me a phone of comparable value, only a 3G phone. It was odd.
And the rest of my family isn't staying with Verizon for this and other reasons when our contract expires so me being on a separate carrier and contract for an extra 5 months isn't really a practical option.

I have been a loyal Verizon wireless customer for a long while, but have had such a bad experience in the past year (where I have paid bills as high as $700.00) that I decided to cancel my services and move to another network. My billing cycle runs from 14th of the month to 14th of next month, typically. I have autopay set up to pay my bills and it deducts money for the following month on or around 6th of that month.
I ported out my verizon number to a service on 4th of this month and since my verizon account got immediately closed, I called up verizon to find out about the ETF and final bill. I was surprised to find that I had to not only pay ETF but also pay the bills for the next month (which I am not using as I canceled before the Feb 14th!). Is this common practice? I feel so cheated. I feel its a sneaky move to squeeze that extra amount of money from me!

I'm sure you stuck with Verizon because they were giving the best service for a reasonable price. That's not loyalty. That's just being a smart consumer. Being loyal would be sticking with Verizon when other carriers where offering equal or superior service for less money. And in that case that may be being loyal but it's also kind of stupid.
As far as your bill my new bill is generated about 4-5 days after the end of my billing period. So if your billing period ended on the 14th the new bill would be generated on the 18th. Verizon bills in advance so your bill that got generated on the 18th of January would be from January 15th to February 14th. Which would be due around Feb 6th. So you were billed correctly.

Contract has been up, and thinking of prepaid.

My contact has been completed for 2 years and I am on month to month. My phone is the Casio Brigade. It has lasted longer than any phone i have ever had until recently the text quit working. Tried to connect my back up phone (Moto Razor flip phone) and VZ said I had to get a $10 data plan (**) on a phone that is older than my Brigade. I am thinking of switching to prepaid because I would come out cheaper even with my 20% monthly discount, which is not on my plan below. I am looking at the $60 2 gig and $70 4 gig prepaid plan. They are suppose to be 3G only, but I am not concern with that.
These are my concerns and questions.
1. Will there be a cancellation fee since my contract has been up for 2 years and do I have to give so many days notice.
2. Can I take my Phone # with me to prepaid.
3. I will probably use a Droid bionic or Casio commando on the prepaid. (phones given by friends)
4. I don't download movies or music. I might listen to Pandora or watch a YouTube video.
5. I live in a rural area, so VZW and ATT are the only ones that work.

YOu would need to contact Orange and have them unlock your phone.
ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock it.

While writing I made a mistake... It is true I could become aware of the Scorpio incompatibility.
I also tried the same identical procedure with a Seagate one. This disk and the same procedure was performed by some people I know on many MacBookPro Mid-2010 and everything was OK.
We do not understand why this problenm occurs.
Furthermore, If I installed the system on the broken HDD (that works, but sometimes it fails so badly and makes the system experience kernel panic) I could boot from it.
I guess it is because of the **** Apple FIrmware written on the label.
Is it possible that I cannot manage to boot from my new HDD because it has not a "special" feature on it that makes it compatible with apple??? Why making things so **** difficult my god a closer world like Apple one is impossible to imagine.

Here's a positive thing: Windows viruses can't run on OS X, but they can be transferred from OS X to other PCs (only if you have them on the OS X volume).

When i store file in application server,some extra junk character at last in xml file.So it gives error like below.
An invalid character was found in text content.
The last row of XML internal table has some extra special characters. How to avoid these extra spacial characters?

I installed this same digitizer in my T|X some weeks ago. Some discussion of my experience may be found in this Usenet posting and subsequent thread.
The stock digitizer in my T|X had always had some significant alignment issues (for which PowerDigi was able to compensate very nicely) and sensitivity which was uneven, but which usually required a heavier touch than I liked.
Eventually, it began to develop a “dead spot” near the upper left. My T|X was under warranty, so I probably ought to have sent it in to Palm to be repaired, but I wasn't willing to be without it for the required amount of time, and I've heard enough reports of other T|X owners getting unsatisfactory results this way. I'd heard enough good reports about the PDAPARTS.COm digitizer, that I decided that the only acceptable way to repair my T|X would be to install one of those.
After however many weeks it has been, I am still very pleased with the results. It continues to work flawlessly; it is much more sensitive, so it doesn't require nearly so heavy a touch, and I very much like the hard feel that it has, compared to the spongier feel of the stock digitizer.
My wife's T|X still has its stock digitizer, and it has so far not shown any of the same problems that mine did, or for which the T|X has become notorious, but the feel is noticeably inferior. She's content with it the way it is, but I think that if I were to ever buy another T|X for myself, I wouldn't wait for the stock digitizer to fail. The PDAPARTS.COM digitizer is simply superior in every imaginable way; and, in my opinion, a T|X with the PDAPARTS.COM digitizer installed is sufficiently superior to one with the stock digitizer (even if it isn't defective) to be very much worth the expense and trouble of installing it.

Telia do NOT offer unlocking so it is most unlikely that the iPhone is unlocked and even more unlikely you wold convince them to unlock it

Contract reference field always resets to contract has no objects

Hi All,
When I'm configuring custom contract types in RE-FX the contract reference field always resets to 'contract has no objects' when I save it, no matter what value I enter such as 'objects are leased in'.
Would anyone know why this might be?

ICloud has lost 3 months of my husband's emails.

My husband has lost 3 months of emails from his laptop, iPhone and iPad. They disappeared as he was reading emails. Neither apple support not Genius bar have been able to retrieve them from iCloud. Apple support took them all off iCloud and reloaded them in the expectation that they would surface again.
They have been wiped from their too. Anyone else experiencing this challenge?

Dropbox is also not a backup system, you still have no backup.
Use Time Machine or some other backup system, taking the easy way out is how data gets lost in the first place.
