My copy of Photoshop still does not work properly, and support refuses to help me.

From my previous thread:
I can't actually get photoshop to go into the image editor. The program launches just fine, I can open up any dialogs such as preferences, but when I try to open something or start a new file, nothing happens. No error message either. If I click File -> New, I get the dialog to choose the dimensions, and then if I press OK, nothing happens. Same goes for opening something, if I press File -> Open (or anything similar, such as opening a recent file), I get the dialog to choose a file, and then nothing happens. I can only get it to work on the first launch after a system restart, if I close it and reopen it, there is a chance that it will break and I will have to restart my computer. I have attempted the following to fix it:
-Clear settings
-Reinstall
-Start new administrator profile
None of the above has worked, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
This has been going on since I've purchased it. I have tried many things, including uninstalling every program installed before photoshop (anything that could have possibly caused it to break). This problem even survived a hard drive reformatting, as I had the same issue on my previous OS. It works fine on my macbook, but my Windows 8 computer is the one I prefer to use, and that is the one photoshop doesn't work on. I have called support multiple times, and they kept telling me that they would escalate my problem, but they never actually tried anything new, and eventually they stopped responding to me. I am now on my own from support's help, as they have outright refused to help me. I posted a thread on the photoshop subreddit, and they told me to post here, which shortly after posting it was ignored. I cannot believe that this level of refusing to help can even exist in such a large company, and I'm seriously considering demanding a refund for my entire subscription as this is disregarding a major issue (which I apperently am not the only one, and the others are also being ignored by support). So, as a final attempt of actually fixing this, could someone please see if they know what to do?

Welp, here's the dxdiag.

  • Character Spacing in Photoshop CC does not work properly

When I (as I have in Photoshop CS2,3,4,5,5.5 and 6) click in the letting menu and change the letting, it allows me to change it and then when I click enter, it jumps down to a completely different number.  I set it to 200 and hit enter and it drop to 19. I change it to 200 again, it becomes 47.
I am runnning the updated version of CC on windows 7 64-bit.

If you go to the photoshop forum you'll find a topic with the same issue that might help you. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link here.
Search for a topic called "text leading jumps the value super high"
    Wish I could help more.

  • Tecra S1 boots correctly but does not work properly and has BIOS error beeps

Toshiba S1 has started to crash regularly after a certain period of use.
    Sometimes: BIOS error beeps: Short-short-long.
Sometimes: Bluescreen of reduced screen size/reduced resolution.
Sometimes: Just crashes (frozen) and has to be shut off manually.
As Toshiba uses its own BIOS, does anyone know what these beep sounds mean or can provide support?
Is it a hardware / connection problem between graphic card and monitor or is it a memory error?

    Hi,
did you tried to make a memory test? If not, I would suggest you to make it. For such tests I would prefer using "memtest86" (www.memtest86.com)
Otherwise I would assume that your mainboard is malfunctioning and you will have to bring your machine to an local ASP.
If you need help finding an ASP, here is a good site:

  • Ever since updating my LG G2 to VS98026A the Quiet mode does not work properly and is not controllable.

My LG G2 started to have problems since the latest system update.  Previously, the phone worked perfectly!
I now cannot control the Quiet mode settings and the vibrate and silent modes are no longer selectable.  This is not acceptable.  I have no way of silencing the phone if I need to.
Is there a way to return the phone to the previous state?

No can't go back but if you reset you g2 make sure you use cloud storage ahead of time on WiFi to backup data or connect to a computer and know your Google account. If on more everything plan you can use the free 25gb of vcloud storage

  • Photoshop 7 DOES NOT WORK with Leopard ( OS 10.5 )

If you are not prepared to upgrade your Photoshop 7, DO NOT UPGRADE TO LEOPARD.
Photoshop 7 and OS 10.5.x (Leopard) are not compatible. When Adobe released Photoshop 7 in 2001 as a Universal Binary for OS9 and OSX they had no idea that Apple would be switching to an Intel chip in 2006. As the release of Leopard is also the end of the Classic environment, this may be the reason Photoshop 7 does not work in Leopard.
As of the release of CS4, Photoshop 7 can no longer be used as a path to upgrade Photoshop. A full version has to be bought now. But Photoshop CS or later can still be used as an upgrade to Photoshop CS4.
It is recommended that Photoshop 7 owners still looking to save money on upgrades stay away from eBay, as, unfortunately, much of the software listed is pirated or misrepresented and you will still not be able to upgrade to CS4.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

My curser pad is not working and the curser is going crazy.  I have tried everything and it still does not work?

I don't know what other solutions you've tried but on mine it was like a "Ghost in the Machine" (moving around and clicking on things on its own) and all I did to fix it was to lightly dampen a cotton ball with window cleaner (evaporates) and clean firmly around the inside edge of the pad and to also click it firmly quickly and many times to clean out ANY kind of dust or debris that has fallen into the cracks. worked GREAT for me , so far!!???

  • My pinned tabs are not saved. Changed the settings still does not work?

This changed before upgrading to the new version of FRFX. I cannot save my pinned tabs, nor does Firefox open to the last tabs open. Tried to change Settings...still does not work.
I have a new iMac 3.4, i7, 16g for video editing. Its running LION 10.7.2

Well that was odd, decided to check addons and started firefox in safe mode and my pinned tabs were there so restarted it to disable addons one by one but before I could do anything my pinned tabs were back in place. Lets hope it lasts.
