  • Every time I connect my ipod touch to itunes it changes the time to three hours ahead how can I stop this

  • Computer shuts down ever time I connect the IPOD Touch

My computer shuts down every time I connect my Ipod Touch. I tried holdin down the On/Off button simultaneously with the Home button as suggested in the trouble shooting section, but the computer still shuts down. The battery is fully charged.

Hi. Actually, I have the same problem. I've had the same problem for about a month now. At first.. it took me a while to realize that my computer turned off because of my ipod being connected. Because at first, it took a couple of hours or so before it would turn off. But now, at for the past 3 weeks or so, it turns off instantly when I connect my ipod to my computer. I've been googling ways to solve this problem - but couldn't find anything, and that's where i ran into this topic.
I know the problem isn't my ipod and ipod usb wire. I connected it to another computer to recharge, and it didn't turn off, and there were no problems. But when i connect it to my computer to update it, it turns off instantly. It doesn't even have time to update.
My CPU has 4 USB ports, and I tried connecting it to each of them.. but the same thing happens. I don't think it's my USB ports either, because i've connected other things to the USB ports, and the computer didn't turn off like it did with ipod.
I'd really appreciate it if an answer could be received regarding this issue.
    Thanks.

  • Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod..

I had my Ipod connected while running a software update 1-2 weeks ago. Shortly after the update completed, my computer gave me "A computer must be restarted" mesage, and promptly shut down all the programs I was using and rebooted. Currently, not only does Safari refuse to operate, my Itunes crashes every time I connect my Ipod, preventing me from altering information or transferring songs. I've done everything but 'restore'-- I'm afraid that if I reset my Ipod, I'll lose the songs I already have.

    Repair Permissions in Disk Utility.
    Update to 10.4.4.

  • Videos updated every time I connect my iPods

So every time I connect my iPod classic or my iPod video 5th gen to iTunes, it keeps on “updating“ some of my videos. So I have to wait until it syncs them back to my ipods until I can disconnect. I really don't understand why it does that so I would like some help. iTunes is up to date. It doesn't re-sync all of my videos, only videos that I have converted.

  • Okay, so every time I plug my iPod Touch into my laptop it always imports my videos

Okay, so every time I plug my iPod Touch (4G) into my laptop it always imports my videos & photos. I don't want my videos and photos saved onto others files on my laptop so how do I stop this from automatically happening when I plug in my iPod?
    Thanks! Laura,

There should be a pane in your photo program that can control what your iPhone does when plugged in.

  • Why is it every time I connect my iPod Classic, iTunes 11.1 freezes?

This only started happening recently. Every single time i connect my iPod, iTunes just stops responding.
I have a 160 GB newer model and Windows 7
Also I've formatted and restored it more than enough times

Stared happening when I updated to iTunes, version 11. Both on Mac OS-X 10.6 and Windows 7 platfiorms. Bounced back to an earlier version and this corrected the problem. Restored and reloaded without any difficulty. Make sure to disable AUTOMATIC UPDATES in preferences in the general pane. Keep a spare version of the application/program so that in case you need it if anything happens or somebody updates your machine if you take it in for service.
Problems associated so far from my perspective using Mac and Windows are: iPod disappears from the desktop, iPod freezes; host computer freezes; iTunes library does not load correctly or at all; Formatting on Windows based computers shows formatted when in fact it did not; iPod may not respond correctly after ejecting.
Hope this helps. Running iTunes version 9.0.2 (originally furnished with my 2009 MacBook). This is from the restore disc and works like a charm. I have the 5th generation 30 Gb iPod.
Inquiries accepted. If I can help, all the better.

  • Sync restarts every time I connect to wifi

every time I come home and my device connects to WiFi, Spotify begins the sync all over again - meaning it starts from 0 tracks synced and attempts to get all 1500 synced. If the app closes, crashes, or I leave home before it finishes I end up not having all my songs.. how can I stop it from beginning the sync from 0??

it happens the same to me, all time, it's really annoying, every time i get home or work it starts all over again and i don't have enough time to wait for it to sync or to be pressing any part of the screen to avoid the phone to go idle, so i leave without syncing and using my data plan, Hate this! x(

  • I have to reinstall iTunes every time I connect my iPod

This has never happened to me before, but now my iTunes won't recognize my iPod Touch 2nd gen. I'm currently using Windows 7 64-bit. When I check the connected devices, "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" shows up under "Unspecified". I used the Apple-provided troubleshooter and checked if the driver is installed, which it is. All the appropriate services are set to start at my computer's boot and all are running. The last solution was to completely re-install iTunes, which I've done, and my iPod shows up in iTunes. The bad part, after I reboot my computer, the problem returns. It'll be a hassle to keep my computer on all the way and to reinstall every time I boot my computer. Any suggestions?

My iPod had been working just fine until last night when I booted a LiveCD of Ubuntu Linux on my PC. I connected my iPod to my computer during this time, browsed the files on it (I have my iPod set up to act as a USB hard disk), and now whenever I connect my iPod to my computer under Windows, the whole machine locks up. Any ideas?

  • ITunes resyncs the same 934 songs every time I connect my iPod

I am the proud owner of a new iPod Touch. Everything worked well for a few weeks then, after I cleaned up id3 tags, lyrics, and cover art so that albums would show up more correctly, things went awry.
Now, every day, when I plug in my iPod, 934 songs get erased and copied back onto the device. If I unplug and replug it in immediately, this does not happen. The trigger seems to be about 24 hours. The daily resync takes a long time, and if I want to unplug the iPod before it is finished, I end up missing hundreds of songs.
I reset and erased the iPod, but that didn't help.
    Any suggestions?

  • A different error every time I sync my iPod Touch 64GB

I have an iPod Touch 64GB. After iOS4 upgrade and iTunes update, at least half of the times I connect it to my pc (Windows 7 64bit) some error comes up like, the ipod is disconnected (when it's not), a duplicate file has been created, the requested file cannot be found, error -48, error -64... you name it.
When this happens, I get a screen asking if I want to set it up as a new iPod, or if I want to restore from backup. If I select restore from backup, it tries to, takes an hour and then some error pops up, forcing me to set it up as a new iPod, which takes another hour.
A few days ago I decided I'd had it and restored it completely to factory settings, losing all my information (remember it never can restore from backup?) in the hopes that it would make it function normally again. Until last night... when I tried syncing again and again the errors, and having to set it up as a new iPod.
I've read many posts here, about deleting iPod Photo Cache and other solutions, none of them work. My iPod is NOT jailbroken, nor do I use any iToner or any other plug-in or weird non-Apple application to tweak it somehow...
    Any answers?
    Any suggestions?
How do I avoid having to set up my iPod as new every time I plug it to my pc?

Ok, so I tried syncing again, again the myriad of errors, one pop up after the next, you know the drill. At last, I set up the iPod as new iPod and when I did that it leaves it as having to sync all podcasts, iTunesU, photos, contacts, calendar, as new. But before I did that, a new pop up, an update for the iPod software version 4.0.2 (8A400). I updated the iPod and then checked all the boxes to sync all my content... so far, it's working. I'm hopeful that this update will fix the problems. If not, then I think I'll have to take it back to claim the warranty. Cause I don't see what else to do. I'll be back here with news.
