My credit card company needs me to verify a purchase and I cannot find a phone

A free (to download, but not free to play) in-app purchase keeps charging my credit card.  I've deleted the app and I need to know if I am still being charged or if the most recent charge is just late to post.  My credit card company denied the purchase.  How can I speak to someone about this???

There is no phone support for the iTunes Store. But any charges should be reflected in your Purchase History for your iTunes Store account:

If no further charges show there, then it's probable that nothing further is being purchased, though there's no way to be absolutely certain that nothing else is pending I doubt even the iTunes Store would know, though you can contact them via the web process and ask. Go here:

    It's a really bad idea to post your email address and phone number - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them. This is a user to user forum - you are not talking to Apple here and no-one is going to email you.
    You should contact Apple Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click 'See all products and services', then ' 'iTunes', and then 'iTunes Store', then 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption'.

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. It's something they'll need to assist with, since charges are in limbo due to the cancellation of the old card.

    hi, i'm trying to register my MASTERCARD credit card on my itunes appstore but i keep getting the error message "your payment method was declined. please enter valid payment method information." i have checked my credit card information as well as the billing information numerous times already but i don't see anything wrong with the infos.
    i did a searched around the forum and someone posted that there might be some problem with the bank or credit card company so i called up the credit card company to see if they have set any restrictions to my credit card and everything checks out ok and i'm still having the same problem. i even tried to register a new account but this time using my brother's credit card but same problem. by the way, i'm from the philippines and i did choose "philippines" as the country in the appstore.
    any idea what's going on?

    I doubt anything is wrong with your card, it's probably on Apple's end.

I was told by a friend of mine that all i had to do was call apple support and i would be able to re start the secruity answers.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

    I just tried to purchase a 12 month unlimited world subscription and it looks like it did not get processed but my credit card company is saying that they payment went through and therefore we should have the service (given that it is paid on my credit card).  How do I resolve the discrepancy?  Capital One told us to call Skype and work the issue live over the phone but I can not find a phone number.

    Bear in mind that you are not entitled to a refund of any type since the terms of the iTunes and App Store are "All Sales Final". That doesn't mean that you will not get a refund - you are just NOT ENTITLED to a refund.

  • Credit card declined for gifts, ok for personal purchases.

    I can't gift albums or playlists-- every time I try, I get a message saying that my credit card has been declined, and iTunes takes me to the billing info screen. I've tried the following without success:
    - re-entered credit card info

    All I wanted to do was spend $50 bucks on a gift certificate for the 13yr-old grand daugher who's getting her first iPod for XMAS. Created an account, put in all the info. The dang thing rejected 5 different credit cards. I knew that wasn't true. So, I waited a day to receive their surprising slow welcome email, and tried it again. Same thing. Remembered I had an old account, from back before iTunes made me so mad that I swore I'd never use it again (and happily switched to Media Monkey). That account had a credit card that required updating, so I did that. Declined again. I tried two different iTunes accounts, tried it with 5 different credit cards, tried it on two different computers. No luck. So I tried using PayPal. Same message: "credit card declined"... for PayPal? Several hours later, Apple sends me an automated email saying they had cancelled the PayPal-iTunes billing agreement but that I could call their iTunes Business Accounts 800 number if I wanted. Huh? What? Oh, yeah, my PayPal account also has my wife's home-business name on it because she needed to use it once. So, all in all, I wasted multiple hours trying the give them $50. I would have called them up, but they don't have a phone number.
    Went to amazon. Bought what I needed in less than 1 minute. No muss, no fuss, no frustration. I wanted to give them money, and they wanted to take it. So, it looks like the 13-yr-old is gonna grow up getting habituated to buying her music from amazon instead of iTunes. Which sounds about right to me.
    If Apple didn't want to take my credit card, they could have just had a simple pop-up window telling me that, thus saving me hours of frustration. Evidently, they'd rather LIE to me about 5 different credit cards from different institutions being declined. Their motto appears to be "We like to take people who are trying to give us money and treat them like dirt until they get mad and go away." What a bunch of morons...
