My cursor does not move to the confirmation box after selecting delete
When selecting 'Delete' for an email for instance, the cursor would then move to the confirmation box but with Firefox 4 this does happen now.
Out of curiosity, are you using 'NoScript' or anything of the like?
This occurrence happened to me on the Google page and I figured out that 'NoScript' was blocking Google therefore not allowing the cursor to activate in the search input field. I simply ''allowed'' Google.com and I had no problem thereafter. Perhaps you have a similar problem.

in selecting the word, it is very difficult to just place a cursor in the word to make any correction, because it wants to highlight it and it is near impossible to deselect
The standard mouse/text selection action should only select a word when you double-click it. Therefore you should be able to position the cursor within a word by just single-clicking it.

That certainly sounds amiss. I don't think I've ever seen a case where the cursor keys don't move.
So I'm thinking Leopard must have some preference / key preference thing going on?
There is a Keyboard & Mouse preference pane in System Preferences which is clearly the place to start, but off-hand I can't think which options there would cause this kind of setup. -
On my IMAC the cursor does not move, but show connected and the click works. just will not move cursor on the screen. I doen the following.
- replaced batteries
- restarted computer
- unplugged computer and restart
- restart while hold command+options+P+R
oh ya, I did notice my picture for my log on changed.

thanksBootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Does the mouse move booted from that partition?

HP wireless mouse H1D34AA cursor does not move
My wireless mouse sometimes does not work - ie the cursor does not move although I can click and the light comes on. Batteries have been changed. This seems to happen intermittently. Any ideas? I have looked at devices and properties etc and removed the dongle and replaced it, nothing seems to work. This mouse is about 6 months old! Thanks

Numbers does not open with the main user after installing mountain lion. It works flawlessly when I use the second account on my mac. What got corrupted in the admin-account, something in the user-library? How can I fix it? I´m kinda desperate... (the same happens with the other iWork-Apps!)
Looking forward to hearing from somebody with a littlemore expertise than me, Chrisyou can remove preferences files by navigating to the Preferences folder for your user as follows:
0) Quit ALL iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers)
1) from the Finder select the menu item "Go > Go To Folder…". This will bring up a dialog:
2) enter the path "~/Library/Preferences" (no double quotes)
3) find the files:
com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
and move these to the trash. I would NOT empty until later.
4) restart Numbers -

Check the following:
1. Check credit card number
2. Check security code
3. Billing Address must be the same as credit card

The buttons do wear out, and when they do you'd need to get the phone serviced.

I cannot unlock my phone. When I hit the number the key is highlighted but the "dot" does not show in the passcode box. Have shut it off and restarted nothing. Held on/off and "square" key to reset but still nothing. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue

I would appreciate if anyone can reply me for fixing the problem.
Problem: The approver does not show in the approval preview after the shopping cart is saved, however before saving the shopping cart it shows the approver in the approval preview. We are using two workflows: WS10000060 Auto approval and WS10000276- 1 level spending limit approval.
Details of the problem:
The following steps specify the problem in detail , it is applicable for both the workflows WS10000060 Auto approval and WS10000276- 1 level spending limit approval.
1. Shopping created
2. The approval preview shows the approver ( please see #1 in the attached document) before saving the shopping cart.
3. Shopping cart is saved.
4. After saving , Check status transaction shows the shopping cart in status awaiting approval
5. The section approval shows No workflow started , application error occurred
6. T.Code SWI1 shows the workitem created for the shopping cart but in error.
7. The work item container does not show any agents
I would appreciate it anyone can reply as to how to fix it ASAP.

I have synchronised through SWU_OBUF several times since yesterday , but still at the same place.
In the workflow customising - The only red entry which I have is for check entries from HR control tables under Mainiatin definition env. and Mainiatin guded procedure for gateway under guided procedure (new in SRM 5.0) .The verification workflow works fine . Also I think these entries will not impact the workflow functionalhese were red even in my earlier system .
SLG1 shows all green entries and there are no entries in RZ20.
I have specified task TS10008126 as general task as I want anyone who is identified by SLAapprover should be able to process the workitem and as per documentation I can specify this task as standard task.
What should I do.. , anything am I missing .

Here's the error message I get.
Note the TC is connected to my Airport Extreme via ethernet and my iMac is also connected to the AX via ethernet so it's not a wifi issue.
I can see the TC in the finder so it's not 'gone' from the network either.
Also note that just then the TM system pref pane was claiming a backup error, citing my 'network password' and still refusing to backup. I waited 5 minutes and did some tidying of my office while I pondered this and then tried again and voila it worked ok. -

Disk utility does not allow to restore Macintosh HD after I deleted a small size (1GB) partition
Hi, when I tried to create a new 1GB partition (on my Mac mini 2011, using Mac OS X 10.7.3) and then to delete it I could not restore (increase) Macintosh HD size using Disk utility (diskutil list shows the same value for Macitosh HD (498,17GB) partition before and after I deleted a new created 1GB partition).
Please help, how I can restore the original size of Macintosh HD when Disk utility does not allow to restore Macintosh HD after I deleted a small size (1GB) partition?
Thank you.The bottom right corner dragging does not help in my case, because it shows that Macintosh HD partition size is maximal, but its real size did not change after I removed 1GB partition.
Maybe any other idea can help me, for example some built-in tool like diskutil which allows to view and manage unused partitions in terminal?

Cursor does not change during the editing of clips
Hi. I am new to iMovie and am looking for some help. I have imported my clips, put them in my timeline and I want to shorten the clips. According to the movie that is on the Apple web site, when moving my cursor over the line separating my clips, my cursor is to 'change' allowing me to shorten the clip. Well, my cursor does not change. Is there a setting that needs to be corrected. Thanks for any help that can be offered.
Hi konrad - the View Menu DOES have a 'Show Clip Volume Levels" IF you are using iMovie HD!
But according to your Profile you have iMovie 4. Volume control in that version is at the bottom beneath the Timeline Audio tracks.

Menu Bar - Sound Volume icon does not move with the press of the F key
So I normally press the F keys to control the Sound Volume, right, just like everyone else does -
but the Sound Volume icon in the Menu Bar at the top right does not respond to the F key at all!
Isn't it supposed to react simultaneous with the press of the F key?
I have to actually use my mouse click to make that volume go up and down.
The actual volume does work with the F key, it goes up and down.
But to make the 2 work in sync, I have to point the mouse to the one at the Menu Bar, fiddle with it, and then I can use the F key and both work together at the same time.
If I haven't touched the Menu Bar one for a while and I only use the F key, the Menu Bar one doesn't move at all.
It's weird. Any ideas?I see what Al is seeing. Normally I just use one method or the other. The Volume Adjustment keys provide visual feedback, so it's unnecessary to check the menu extra, i.e. the Volume menu bar icon, to see the same feedback.
The slight delay in the reaction of the Volume menu extra, when open and while adjusting the volume with the Volume keys is normal.
They're independent methods for adjusting the Volume setting. The Volume menu extra takes a moment to refresh when the slider is displayed and you're changing the setting via the Volume keys.
