My cursor skips to the top of my email

I have an email account that is cloud based ... and my cursor skips to the top when i press return ... i recently updated Safari .. any solutions?

Hi ..
Restart your Mac then try try again.
If that doesn't help...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click:   Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

  • Why does the cursor return to the top of the screen?

The cursor starts at the top of the screen and returns there no matter where I drag it. It never goes past the middle of the screen. It works fine in safe mode. Same problem with all mice(tried 2 Bluetooth and one USB). I deleted Magic Prefs...no change. iMac 24, Mountain Lion, 2 monitors. This has been running solidly for 6 months.

Some more notes; this appears to be an issue if one of two things is true; the movie window is open - or - if I'm zoomed in too far (what the threshold is, I'm not sure.) I'm trying to automate dialog. In one instance, I need to adjust a cough; if I zoom in close enough to draw the automation, it returns the play head to bar one after each click. If I'm zoomed out a little bit, I can write the automation no problem.

  • I can no long tap at the top of my emails to get to the first one.

Why can't I tap to the top of my email to get tot he first one?

If you customized your toolbars in an earlier version, the installer might have left you with the classic menu bar rather than the new abbreviated menus.
To switch, use View menu > Toolbars > Menu Bar
Once you have the orange Firefox button, you can tap the Alt key or press F10 to display the classic menu bar temporarily.

  • I have a new MacBook(2012). Being a new Mac user, I do not know what to do when Safari doesn't open at all. The icon just bounces up and down and when the cursor is on the top main menu bar it is the spinning rainbow wheel.  Any ideas for help?

When I try to open safari the icon stats bouncing and then nothing happens other than the cursor turning to a spinning rainbow wheel when it hoovers on the top main menu bar. I have shut down and restart several times. My safari worked yesterday and then today this, but with. I indication of a problem. I can't even get the browser window to open so that I can clear caches or reset anything. When I opened my computer this time I don't even get a bouncing icon. No recognition of selecting the program at all. If I go to spotlight and try to open safari from here I still get no response. Can you help?

    Hi ...
If you have moved the Safari application from the Applications folder, move it back.
As far as the cache goes, there's a work around for that when you can't empty the Safari cache from the menu bar.
Go to    ~/Library/Caches/com.aple.Safari.Cache.db.  Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
    Try Safari.

  • Skipping to the top of the document when text selection tool selected

This may be difficult to explain. But often after I click in the toolbar to switch over to a specific Adobe document (in windows 7) that I previously opened and that is open to a page other than page 1 and with the text select tool has been selected, if I click into the text on the page (say page 4) and then scroll down with the mouse wheel to get to page five, the program will jump back to the beginning of page 1. (display is set at single page - fit page). I like Acrobat very much, but I find this to be extremely irritating and wasteful when trying to select text from and navigate a large document. Can you please tell me why this occurs?

I READ the user guide, which told me view>format bar>show format bar. I am talking about the bar that shows how to set the format-- font, spacing, etc. That has gone gray, and eliminated all the settings so I can't alter the settings or print.
    Mari,
We're here to try to help you; we get some satisfaction out of helping folks to get along with their Apple Pages software. If you just take this one step at a time, I'm sure we can sort it out.
Thanks for clearing up what your primary issue is. You had Fruhulda all confused with your complaint about printing. I sort of glossed over the printing issue because you seemed to be more focused on the formatting.
Please re-read my first post - the part about the Format Bar being contextual - and let's go from there.

  • When I start typing in a web address, the browser opens up the menu bar. For example, if I start typing "youtube" the cursor goes to the top of Firefox and opens Yahoo.

Another example, typing "b" opens bookmarks

It sounds as though Firefox thinks you have pressed or are holding down the Alt key. If you tap the key vigorously, does it unstick? You might also try restarting Firefox or Windows.

  • The insert cursor is at the top of the page and as i scroll down the insertion cursor scrolls down as well when I use the directional buttons.

in all tabs once i open firefox the scrolling is kind of messed up. IE i'll be on any web site and click the down button it scrolls all the way down to the bottom or it will only scroll some. It was a problem months ago and have recently reinstalled Firefox and the problem persists. Please help

Maybe you have Caret browsing turned on? It is toggled with the '''F7''' key.

  • How do I prevent the yellow bar from appearing across the top of Hotmail emails that says, "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page." I DO NOT want plugin. How do I get Firefox to stop sending message?

Note: I did try to install the plugin just to see what would happen. When I clicked on "Install Missing Plugin" the next page said plugin could not be found---install manually. I clicked on manual install button and was directed to Adobe Flash Player - I already have current version of AFP installed.

  • I keep getting a banner at the top of my email page, ATT/Yahoo, that says "This page requires a plug-in that can only run in 32-bit mode. Then there is a place to click "Restart in 32-bit mode" restarting doesn't help. I have a Mac, OS 10.6.7.

I don't know what else to add. Please ask me any questions for other info you need.

That means that you need to run Firefox in 32 bit mode if you want to use that plugin.
    # Close Firefox
    # Open the Applications folder in Finder
    # Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
    # Select "Get Info"
    # Select "Open in 32-bit mode"

  • When I open another window the cursor defaults to the bottom of the page instead of the top why and how can I fix it? It is a pain to have to keep scrolling to the top all the time. This does not happen with Chrome or IE.

I can send you a screen shot if that would be helpful.
I have noticed that the emails sent out of S1 always default to the end
of the message so we need to scroll up to edit what we've written. Most
of the time I need to edit the text near the top of an email so although
it is a very minor thing, it is a bit irritating.

In Firefox 4 the cursor is placed automatically at the end of a text area.<br />
Easiest to go to the top is by using Ctrl+Home

  • How do I turn off the automatic full screen feature that makes the top bar (with the minimize buttons) disappear?

I just downloaded Firefox 4 on a Dell laptop with WinXP. When I'm in a browser window the window resizes automatically and the bar at the top (with the minimize, full and close buttons) disappears. When I drag the cursor up to the top the window resizes again and that top bar appears. Makes me crazy. How do I turn it off?

I'm not aware of the behavior you're describing. I've never seen it, and just tested it for myself. I cannot get windows to zoom to full screen just from moving them to or along the top of the screen. Is this only happening in Photoshop? If so, it may be a Photoshop issue. If not, have you installed any kind of third-party software that might be doing that? Try rebooting in safe mode and see if the problem persists then. If it doesn't, but comes back when you reboot normally, the problem is caused by some third-party software you have installed.

  • How do I jump to the top of the email list on an iPad?

On the iPhone I can tap the status bar to jump to the top of the list of my unified inbox. But on the iPad that doesn't work. Tapping the center or right of the status bar in iPad email does nothing, tapping on the left side near the Wi-Fi symbol reveals my list of mailboxes. I have to manually swipe and swipe and swipe and swipe to get to the top of my email list. Is there no shortcut?
Having the scrollbar showing position on the list disappear isn't helpful either.

I found the sweet spot mid- way between Inbox and Edit at the very top of the screen. I checked both the iPhone and iPad User Guides and couldn't find any mention of it. Thanks for the tip.
