My Curve won't turn on and no sign of flashing red light

Hi!
I m all new to this blackberry forum thing....anyway i have a blackberry curve and all of a sudden yesterday it just stopped working. when i looked at the phone the screen was all white so i took out the battery and put it back on thinking that it will come back up but it didnt. Then i took the battery out again and plugged it to the USB(without the battery) because ususally it comes back up, but it still didnt. i put the battery again and plugged it to the USB thinking that it needs to charge but still no since of that flashing red light. I took the battery out and put my friends battery (cos he has a curve too) but still it didnt work. I did try holding down the power (red)button still not back on.
I just dont understand whats wrong with it, its not like i dropped it in the water or dropped it on the floor. I didnt do anything to it. It just stopped working.
Im really frustrated right now...I just dont know what to do..i hope someone can help me
THanks!

I finally got my curve to work.  I just left it on the charger for a while and then it powered up. It seems if its a little low on power and I don't charge it relatively soon it shuts down and won't power up for awhile. I've also updated the software and cleaned out the junk files. It seems to be working fine now, go figure.

My problem with the computer is that it will not turn on. The battery is fully charged, power cord is plugged into a working outlet. I have held down the power button for 10 second or even longer. Nothing turns it on and the power cord doesn't light up at all. Any thing will help.
    Thanks

I try to restore it and then it says something went wrong and it won't work. So I've been without my phone for a couple days now. It gives me error code (29). The phone almost reboots and then 3/4 of the way through it gives me the error message.

I've had this problem from about two weeks and I forgot about it, but today I wanted to play on it and remembered that it's not working, I've tried connecting it to iTunes via my laptop but I'm not to sure how to update it because I thought that might fix it, but no luck. I've tried the trick where you hold the lock and home button but nothing happened apart from it just went back to the apple logo and then to the frozen loading symbol/wheel. I need help!

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe! Now see if it charges normally and after a period try to turn it on again. If the batter has been drained it could take 20 minutes or so for it to show that it is charging.
Also considering if the battery need replacing!

  • I'm trying to restore factory setting on my ipad mini and I keep getting error 2001.  It won't turn on and won't restore.

I've been trying to fix my sister in law's ipad mini.  When I plug the ipad mini into itunes it say's it needs to restore factory settings.  When I do that, it tries to do it, but then says it can't because of an unknown error 2001.  I've tried it over and over, unplugged it and plugged it back in, tried to restore numerous times and the same thing keeps coming up.  It won't turn on and the screen just shows that I need to plug it into itunes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
    Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.

  • So I have a MacBook Pro 2013. That won't turn on and won't charge.

So I have a MacBook Pro 2013. That won't turn on and won't charge. When the charger is plugged in the light remains green as if it is fully charge. Before it died the laptop still recognized the charger but wouldn't charge. And now won't turn on.

If you've a 2013 model, depending on when you purchased the machine, I would suppose that you're still under warranty or at least purchased AppleCare? Regardless, I would take the kit to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them diagnose the computer (and, if you're still under warranty, fix the computer) and, if necessary, give you an estimate for repair.
There are all sorts of things that could be wrong - a faulty adapter, bad cabling, even the entire electrical circuitry may have gone bad.
You won't know unless you had an Apple tech look it over.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • My Curve Won't Turn On

Last night my phone was nearly dead but I placed it on charge. Through the night am guessing one of my dogs knocked the plug out. This morning I woke up the phone was dead. I placed it on charge and I got a solid red light from the led but its not turning on not matter what I do. I have done the battery pull out, the wall charger, the USB charger and it still is not turning on. What should I do?

Hi, I have a similar problem.
I tried to install BB App World on my Curve-8900.  It seems to have completed and asked me to reboot.  I accepted.  On restart, the red led would come on for about 10 seconds and that was it.  The screen is black all this time and never changed to anything else.
I have tried battery pull several times even overnight and still the same: red led for 10 seconds and black screen only.
I read somewhere that the system can boot in safemode by holding down the Return key on startup.  I tried that and this is what I noticed (the screen remains black all this time)...
    1. It would start with red led for about 10 seconds then go off.
    2.  I continue to hold the Return key.
    3. After about 2 minutes the Red led starts to flash.
    4.  I connect the Curve to my laptop and start BB Desktop Manager and it recognize the device.
    5. I was able to do a backup.
    6. The screen is still black.
    Any idea?
