My customized iPodQuiz packs don't ask more than 10 questions!
Hi,
I have a 120GB iPod Classic, iTunes 8.0.0.35 on Windows XP Home and iPod Software 1.0.2(I am having problem downloading 1.1.2 through iTunes, any solutions).
My custom packs do get loaded in the iPod Quiz game but not ALL tags seem to work. I want the maximum number of the questions to be asked in a single play to be 50(under ASK) but it always stops at 10. But the WON MESSAGE works just fine.
tf_background.tga and won_background.tga also don't work.
What is it that I am missing?

The question limit problem has been solved.
The folder where I placed my pack is iPod Quiz folder and not the 'iQuiz 1.0' folder. But the tga is still not showing. And it still says Untitled as title.
What can I do to change that so that at least the title is what I want it to be?

How to check customer reference no. not being use more than once
I have the following situation and appreciate if some one could show me a simple solution.
On the Sales order window, when user enter a value for Customer Ref. No, check if the entered value has already been used on any existing Sales Order, and give message eg. this Ref. No already been used in SO. 257
What is the easiest way of implementing the validation?
Using Formatted Search?
Triggers or Stored Procedure?
Or one must go about doing this simple task using SDK, DIAPI?

I believe the best way to do this is probably to use the SDK as (to my knowledge) this is the only way you can get a message to be displayed and to stop the actual processing of the document.
If you want to go the formatted search route I would suggest you change your query a bit. I have played with your query and the following is an example as I got it working in SBO. I think SBO gets confused if there is more than one select statement that returns a result and I have started using variables to save the results of the select statements in.

I'm trying to create a query that shows the Currency for each operation by day, in this case are the payments, the operations. But the problem is that my query get all the payments when the paymeny is by local currency and foreign currency, i mean when is dollars and when is pesos, so even when the payments are in pesos whe need to get the currency of the dollar at these day, so my query get the currency from the table of the currencies when is in pesos and when is in dollars it get the currency from the payments table, so this is my query.

The real problem is that with this, the query just bring me 2 decimals in the currency and i need at least 4 decimal, i don't know what happen because if i run the query in the SQL Management Studio the decimals are correct it brings me more than 4 decimals, but when i run the same query inside SAP Query Manager it brings me just 2 decimals.
How can i fix that?

This is because the decimal place setting in General Settings > Display tab is 2 decimals. Similar question has been raised a few times on this Forum and I will send you the link when I find it.

Don't have more than one backup available on Itunes?
So I use Windows 8 and am having issues with backing up my Iphone 6.
When I go to backup it up on Itunes, the backup I create overrides the old one. Going into "Restore Backup" I can't find any older/additional backups than the most recent one.
Wondering if this is something I've toggled or can fix to allow creation/viewing of more than one older Backup at a time.
Any ideas?

I only have 1 file again, which's title and contents are just random letters and numbers rather than the name of my Iphone.Indeed, sadly there is no way back to older backups if you haven't created the,. I use the option to prevent devices syncing automatically as I think this presents a risk when you want to fix a problem by restoring only to have the backup automatically updated when you connect the device. I try to run a backup then immediate restore cycle every few months so that should the worst happen I might not lose too much. I also have my library cloned to two different computers each of which have separate backups for my device which gives yet more resilience to a disaster.

Next create iview for each quickpoll by using KM QuickPoll iView Template enter the corresponding campaign name for the quickpoll iview.
Next create one JspDynPage component in NWDS

Problem Packing Signed JARs of more than 10 MB

there seems to be a size issue when packing signed JARs.
When I try to pack a signed JAR of about 5 MEGs (such as the jbossall_client.jar file) it works (i.e. jarsigner can verify the result),
but if i try doing it with a JAR of about 11 MEGs the jarsigner can't verify the packed (and unpacked again) file.

PDF Pack: Can I combine more than 12 documents?
I want to combine 12 elements. The comment I get is that it's "only possible to combine 12, delete some" >is'nt that strange?
PeterHi, Peter. You can only combine 12 at once in PDF Pack, so the guidance if you have more items is to process them in batches of 12 or fewer and then combine those results into a single file. See also this thread: Re: How do I combine 41 PDF files into one PDF file?

Bug in XSU: @ttributes don't work more than once
This was a nettlesome one to diagnose and workaround. The fix is easy, but Oracle doesn't ship their source code, so someone there will have to do it for us.
Recent releases of the XSU have a feature where you can output XML attributes, rather than the "canonical" elements, by using column aliases prefixed with "@" i.e. "@myCol". This is great as the canonical approach is quite wasteful in bandwidth: <myCol>...</myCol> vs. myCol="...".
So what I do is create object types with attributes named "@myAttr" like so:
create type MyDisplayer_objTyp as object ( "@myAttr" varchar);
And I can put these in other object types for compositional purposes:
Create type MyOverviewDisplayer_objTyp as object ( "myNs:myDisplayer" MyDisplayer_objTyp);
And this works great, the first time it's recognized by the XSU:
<myNs:myOverview><myNs:myDisplayer myAttr="myValue"/></myNs:myOverview>
So far, so good. The problem is, any subsequent appearance of MyDisplayer_objTyp in MyOverviewDisplayer_objTyp will generate the canonical element form for myAttr! And it will do so without even outputting the "@" prefix:
Create type MyOverviewDisplayer_objTyp as object ( "myNs:myDisplayer" MyDisplayer_objTyp, "myNs:myDisplayer2" MyDisplayer_objTyp);
Should generate:

But remarkably generates this instead:
<myNs:myOverview><myNs:myDisplayer myAttr="myValue"/> <myNs:myDisplayer2><myAttr>myValue2</myAttr></myNs:myDisplayer2></myNs:myOverview>
So what is happening here? I can see the error, and I can see how this never got included in a test suite. The test suite didn't feature redundant inclusions of the same object type, creating the bug where it only works the first time.
What no doubt happened when they put in this "@" trick was they stored whether or not to generate an attribute in a local variable, but they put the attribute name into an object that is cached for future occurrences of that type. The fix is to put that local variable into the object definition so that it rides alongside the attribute name, and the system knows to generate an XML attribute for that value rather than the "canonical" element form that it is generating the second (and all subsequent) times through.
The iterator for collection types must be within the scope of this local variable, as all elements of a collection are generated properly, provided the collection is the first time the object type is encountered. (BTW, is there any way we can suppress or rename that myCollection_ITEM gunk, so we can generate XML that no one can tell came out of the Oracle XSU? Please?)
The only workaround I could find was creating duplicates of those types, named MyDisplayer_objTypA, MyDisplayer_objTypB, etc. and declare those instead of just the same type. This resets that local variable in the XSU code and the output works but at great cost of development time and runtime!
I am using XSQL to test the XSU here; if you can't reproduce it with just the XSU try in XSQL, but I doubt the problem has anything to do with XSQL.
Thanks for your attention to this bug. Please let me know if theres a better known bugs list somewhere accessible to the public if you would like more of these reports, without redundant reporting.
Peter JensenOh and before you tell me to just use XSLT on the output to get it how I want it, or use XMLType views where the XML is generated on the database server, I can assure you I know both of those options, but they both cut into the profitability of running a high-volume service.
The XSU (XML SQL Utility for those keyword searching) is great in that I can host it on middle tier servers in any servlet container and take the burden of XML generation and parsing off the $40K/processor server. If I can further take the burden of XSLT transformations off the middle tier, so much the better... The XSU allows me to run the same throughput on probably something like half the hardware and a tenth the licensing fees.
So here's a huge vote in favor of continued development of the XSU...I would also like it to handle XML attributes on inserts/updates rather than having to use the "canonical" element form.
If anyone knows an even better approach, please speak up! -
Well I bought an album in the Mexican iTunes store and when I try to play the song it says I need to allow because I apparently have 5 devices in use when I just have 1 and this just happens with 2 of the songs of the album... what should I do to get these songs? I bought them already so

Pack slip printing more than one delivery
I have registered a tar, but have not received a successful response from Oracle. We are ship confirming deliveries, but sometimes the pack slip print has more than one delivery on the print output. This also sometimes happens when we reprint the pack slip (also done with the delivery number). Has anyone else experienced this?

Macbook Pro mid 2012 starting to lag when running more than one program.
Firstly mah specs :
Retina, Mid 2012
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
8gb 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M / Intel HD 4000

So, i bought this macbook about a year and a month ago and since i bought it everything has run fine, it has always been fast and smooth, until around 2 months ago when it started getting a little laggy in handling more than one program being open. Before this i was able to run Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Second Life and Chrome all at once and recieved no speed decrease what so ever. So i figured that it must just have been a little clogged up maybe, honestly wasnt sure but tried clearing cache, tried freeing up memory with some of the mac memory management tools from the App Store and non of these worked so in the end i backed up what was important and wiped the HD and re installed the OS. Annoyingly i am still having problems, if i have Photoshop open and i am surfing chrome it lags on scrolling web pages or loading links. If i have Second Life open i seem to lag with more than 3 players around me quite badly, even if i put Second Life onto its lowest Graphic Settings i still lag where as before i had this issue i could run it on its highest Graphic Settings and recieve little to no lag what so ever. This happens for most programs that used to run smoothly, if i now open Cinema 4D and try anything else.....the system slows down.
I COULD take this to the apple store and genuis bar and ask them to have a look at it HOWEVER i am back at Uni in 2 weeks and i need the macbook for my studies as i am currently working on a summer project and need it for research, can any of you Mac Wonders out there suggest anything else for me to try. I have checked the HD and it says its not failing and is verified and found no issues with the partition.First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.

If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
If you're booting from an aftermarket SSD, see whether there's a firmware update for it.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long. -
My 2009 iMac freezes and won't run more than one application at a time - how can I fix this?
Help! My iMac has been getting worse regarding freezing, especially when trying to open iPhoto. It will load slowly, and then I get the pinwheel of death for ever, until I shutdown and try over again. It usually takes several tries, and usually overnight. How can I resolve this issue?
First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
Step 1
This diagnostic procedure will query the log for messages that may indicate a system issue. It changes nothing, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key.
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty. If the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window) has anything in it, stop here and post it — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the TextEdit window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.
Step 2
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Reset the System Management Controller.
Run Software Update. If there's a firmware update, install it.
If you're booting from an aftermarket SSD, see whether there's a firmware update for it.
If you have a portable computer, check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.

I have used 9.8 GB of storage. I want to get below 5 GB. But I cannot figure out where the 9.8 comes from. In looking at the menu, I don't use more than 2 GB. How can I find out what the other 7 GB contain

Keep in mind that it takes three backups until size of the backup is going to reflect changes, since icloud holds up to three.
