My Daily Podcast Hasn't Updated Today On Itunes

I had this before just once, and deleted my MP3 and resubmitted and then it worked again, but again today it hasn't updated and I can see todays show on Itunes.
I have been told that the RSS feed needs to be refreshed
My link is https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/join-up-dots-with-david-ralph/id866951968?mt =2
I have played the files on other platforms so the RSS feed is working its just not going over to ITunes
Can someone help me with this please
Thanks

Hi Patixa, well they didn't really respond. I went through several departments until I got to the point of being told we have to put you through to technical and nothings happened after that. You get someone trying to put you through but technical not accepting. So I got given a direct number and could never get through. And when you email support they just send you a standard "You are a new podcaster and here is how you submit to iTunes" response.
They didn't check to see that I have released 130 episodes before, and even when I responded to tell them that I'm not a new podcaster I got the same email in response.
Very poor indeed

My podcast hasn't updated on iTunes since June.
I use blogger and feedburner. The feedburner feed is up-to-date but iTunes isn't.
    iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/cougarcornerpodcast/id414717504?ign-mpt=uo%3D 4

    Any suggestions?

Your latest two episodes have player.swf media files. iTunes does not handle Flash, so as the episodes have no playable media they do not appear. You need to stick .mp3, .m4a, .m4v, .mp4 or .mov.

My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good for me. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel. Also my itunes doesn't allow "enable disk use" anymore. Can anyone help? My ipod now says that it's the 4.3.4 version

    - Unjailbroken iPod never showed % battery.  Just the icon.
    - Unjailbroken iPod Touches never had a disk mode.
    - What happens when you try to drag a wiggling app to a empty space in the bottom? Does it move and snap back?

  • Podcast episodes not updating correctly in iTunes

    Hello,
I am having a problem with my podcast episodes not updating correctly in iTunes.  The last 5 episodes I published appeared in iTunes at the bottom of the episode list, as if they were old episodes--i.e., they appear as if they were the first 5 episodes published.  They also do not have a date assigned to them as the rest of the episodes do.  They were not distributed to podcast subscribers, possibly because iTunes is not recognizing them as new episodes.
Here is my podcast feed: http://ic.instantcustomer.com/instantcasts/feed/podcast/5047174b90f14efe542431c2 674b1bd9
And here is the link to my podcast in iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/small-business-marketing-minute/id896451432
The problem began with last Wednesday's episode, which was Episode 30, and has continued ever since.  I did not do anything differently when I published that episode than I did when I published the previous 29 episodes, and those updated just fine, or at least seemed to as far as I could tell (i.e., they appeared correctly on iTunes, and appeared as a new episode for me as a podcast subscriber).  Also, after examining the rss feed, I could not see any difference between episodes 1-29 and episodes 30--34, at least as far as the way the feed was formatted.  So, I have no idea what triggered the problem, and no idea how to fix it.  If I can't resolve the issue then I think I'll have to abandon the podcast, since there's no point in publishing a podcast that doesn't distribute new episodes to subscribers.
If anyone can shed light on this problem for me, it would be most appreciated.     Thanks!
    -Kevin

As you say, in the Store the latest episodes don't show a publishing date. When subscribing in iTunes, none of the episodes show a publishing date, and they are listed in the order they appear in the feed.
In the feed, none of your episodes has a 'pubDate' tag, which is where iTunes gets the date from. Since most of the episodes in the Store have a date, it looks as if originally your episodes had this tag, but that five episodes back you did something in whatever method you are using to create your feed which removed these tags: the Store is presumably getting the dates from its cache since the episodes haven't changed, but obviously doesn't have the dates for the last 5 episodes.

  • Podcast hasn't updates since February, it's almost April.

    Hey Guys,
Not sure if this is the correct forum selection. But I have a podcast up on itunes, and up until the 10/2/2011 everything was fine, and ever since then the Podcast directory hasn't updates, It shows only 19 episodes and there is more then that, it will update if someone is subscribed to the site, and now it doesn't even show in the iTunes search, I just change the name of the podcast (20/3/2011) and nothing, it has changed in the subed menu but not in iTunes Store. Also the album cover isn't updating + showing in the podcast menu
    Help?
    RSS feed: http://nrlfix.com/~azsport/podcasts/nrlfix1.xml
    iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/nrlfix-podcast/id393065704

The feed at http://nrlfix.com/~azsport/podcasts/nrlfix1.xml is fine (though it contains a number of minor errors) and can be subscribed to manually in iTunes. However it's not the feed that the iTunes Store is looking for. The feed registered with it is
    http://livenrl.comxa.com/nrl/
which brings up a web page saying 'Our site has moved. Click the link below to be taken to the new site.' and provides a link to http://www.nrlfix.com/ , which brings up a page saying 'This website has been shutdown by Internet Fraud Watchdog for breaches of the Copyright Act 1968, relating to the illegal streaming of protected content '.
This is why the Store is not updating: you are seeing the cached version of the old feed before this change happened.
Since it's necessary to have access to the old feed in order to be able to move the iTunes Store to a new feed, you are now rather stuck, and have only two options. The first is to abandon the old feed altogether. You should get the old podcast removed from the Store - instructions here - and submit your new feed as an entirely new podcast. You will probably need to make a small change in the title, as a bug in the Store software may tell you that the podcast has already been submitted: and of course you will lose any subscribers or comments.
The other option is somewhat uncertain. iTunes Support is notoriously unhelpful, often sending back form answers which often don't deal with the actual problem, or referring the questioner to the Discussions Forum (which may have sent the questioner there in the first place): however it has been known for someone to persuade Support to shift their podcast to a new URL, so it's worth trying. It's probably just a matter of luck who you get. To contact iTunes Support, go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'.

  • My church podcast hasn't updated in over a month

, I am the media director and recently took over uploads. We noticed this week that the podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/rivergate-church-bryan-texas/id434691249 hasn't updated since dec 2. I checked the RSS feed and it is working flawlessly, was able to download all episodes they just havent been updating on itunes. I load 1 new episode every week.

Yes, there is a feed at that address, but if you want to move the Store to using a different feed there is a specific method for doing it, involving adding a tag to the old feed. The exact method is described here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/podcast.html#move
So you will need to reinstate the feed at the old address and add the tag. If you can't do that you will have to email podcasts 'at' appple.com and ask them to move the Store to using the new feed (give the the Store URL and both feed URLs).

  • Podcast feed not updating correctly in iTunes Music Store

Hi. I doubt anyone is able to help with this question, but this is where Apple "support" directed me...
    I've created a podcast feed:
    http://wwf.org.au/podcasts/rss
I've registered it with the iTunes Store:
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=168761907
We added a new item to the feed yesterday and it is not appearing in the iTunes Store feed. Subscribing to the feed manually (that is using the feed from our website) works fine, correctly showing the three items. But the iTunes Store feed only shows two items.
I clicked the "Report a concern" link in iTunes but it went 404 (resource not found).
If anyone can shed any light on why this might be happening, and more importantly how I might be able to fix it, that would be much appreciated.

  • Updated today and iTunes said i had to restore. I did, now all the music on my iPod and in my library are gone. Anyway to recover that stuff?

Everythings set back to the factory settings and all my music and apps are gone. Any help?

Music is not part of the backup that iTunes makes as the first step of the update. It is synced from the iTunes library to the iPod during the later part of the update. If it was not in your library it is gone.  If in the USA you can redownload music by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • New Podcast Episodes Not Updating if Not Subscribed

    Hey there,
My podcast hasn't updated the latest two weekly podcast episodes if you haven't subscribed. If you have subscribed, the episodes are available for download. XML uploaded yesterday.
Here is my xml feed: https://s3.amazonaws.com/GraceHB_Downloads/Audio/Poderator.xml
Here is the iTunes link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/grace-lutheran-church-hb/id470693381
Thanks in advance for the help.
    Lee

The 'title' tag for your 2 September episode reads
    <title>&#xC;Love Thy Neighbor</title>
The ode at the start isn't upsetting the iTunes application but it's upsetting FireFox when used as a feed reader and is flagged as an error by FeedValidator, so it's extremely likely that it's upsetting the Store and rendering the feed unreadable. You need to remove it.
The code appears to be for a linebreak and is, I read elsewhere, permissible in XML 1.1 but not 1.0 which is what you have specified: in any event, you don't want a linebreak and getting rid of it altogether will probably solve your problem.

  • ITunes: podcasts are not updating automatically

    Hi,
My podcasts are not updating automatically in iTunes as they as they should.
My Mac and iTunes are running 24/7, so iTunes it always running. The update interval of the podcast is set to hourly, latest iTunes, latest Mac OS X.
The podcast actually does update if I re-start iTunes or, if I manually update the podcasts (there is always the latest 1 or 2 daily episodes of say NBC nightly news available, but not yet downloaded)... (but this is not a great solution as I am using iTunes through Plex, the Mac is mor a TV/Mediacenter for my family; Plex can access playlists and podcasts in iTunes, but obviously it cannot trigger iTunes to update, so I have to go out of Plex to update iTunes, very annoying)
How can I ge my my podcasts to be downloaded automatically by iTunes.
    Thank you for any help!

Here is a screenshot of the phenomenon/problem... NBC Nightly News is not updated, even both the computer and iTunes are running constanly. Once I click update podcast, the podcast updates, so there is an update available.

  • Podcast feed not updating

I have had a podcast posting once a week for the last month. All of a sudden this week's post hasn't updated either on my podcast app on my phone -- which in the past has updated immediately -- or on the iTunes site. Nothing appears to be different with this latest post (2.7.13) compared to the others. Not sure what is going on. Can any of you help?
    Here's the feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/InsideTheBearcatsPodcast

    Hi Roger-
new to this forum. Not even sure I am posting in the right spot? first of all thank you...seems you are helping alot of folks like me navigate the waters around here! i just have a quick question as a newbie... (story) i have been submitting podcast to another entity for free and getting a great response. have over 22,500 fb friends for the show and i am told about 10thousand a month dowloading podcast? my problem is that this other entity is not very good with getting my shows up in a timely manner and is keeping all ad revenue. this year i have decided to host my own etc. they have my old shows in archive on itunes and that's fine, but i have now created my own account...with the same show name, but instead of their company name it now includes my name (the host) as the secondary by line. MY question is that i just set up everything (by the book/letter) as far as i can tell to host my own account on itunes. i am now in the two week waiting period as of today.
    1) am i going to have to wait two weeks for each show?
    2) will i beable to add the rest of my archive podcasts? for some reason it only allowed me to upload one?
    3) and will i only recieve my feed Id that apple is to provide ONCE they approve the first podcsast?
THANKS FOR THE HELP and sorry if ALL or any of this sounds like "rookie" questioning.

  • Podcast does not update on iTunes

Podcast does not update on iTunes
    the url
    http://itunes.apple.com/tw/podcast/id335308817
    the last date is 2010/6/17
    But the feed url
    http://iphone.realma.com/podcast/ettv.xml
the last date is 2010/10/21 and daily update
Why? Is there any thing wrong in the feed url?
    Thank you!

I'm afraid I can't make any sense of this. the iTunes Store page lists 301 episodes from 12 January 2010 to 17 June 2010. If you click on the 'subscribe free' button your iTunes application subscribes to the feed at the URL you give, which contains rather fewer episodes from 17 September 2010 to 22 October 2010 (today).
It's not unknown for something in the feed to be OK with the application but not the Store, but the feed validates in FeedValidator and I can't see anything wrong with it - it's almost impossible to read as it's all on one line, but it doesn't seem to contain any of the usual culprits.
The only explanation which would make any sense (and which doesn't seem to be the case) would be if the feed had been complete only to 17 June until a few days ago, and you only recently replaced it with the current set of episodes: it normally takes 1-2 days for changes to appear (so even under normal circumstances today's episodes wouldn't appear yet in the Store, only on subscribing). Since your feed contains episodes back to September this doesn't seem to apply, but I can't see any other reason.

  • Podcasts failing to update

Many of the podcasts that i normally watch (many from NBC, CBS) have stopped updating since the 7May2013 episodes. These are daily podcasts, so i should have seen subsequent episodes, but havent.  Is there a way to determine which end the failure lies at?

I'm having the same issue.  TED seems to be updating, but pretty much everything else I usually watch hasn't been updated for 3-4 days.

  • EFI update today

After doing the latest EFI update today my WiFi will not work

After my latest EFI update today on my MacBook Air I have the countdown circle (like one you get when you shutdown) on for about 20 minutes. I have leave for work so I grabbed my iPad, now it's over an hour and the machine hasn't come back. I am afraid of turning off the computer since that potentially could screw up the machine. Anybody else has experience with this type of problem after EFI update and any advice?

  • No Daily Sales/Trend Report for today?

Has anyone received your iTunes Connect Daily Sales/Trend Report for today (1/25/10)? I have not received mine yet. First time it hasn't been up at this hour.
It usually arrives at 2:30am (it's 9:30am here now) or if it's delayed, usually in another region, there's a note in big red text on the reports page.

As I recall (back when I only had a few apps just starting in the store), yes, no daily sales means no daily report. Wait for the weekly report to confirm.
