My date went back to 12/31/2000 ??

What happened? I started it up and it was on 12/31/2000. I turned it off and let it sit. I turned it back on and it was on today's date again. I had to close a ton of reminders from 12/31/2000 until today's date....
Weird. Does anyone know why this would happen? Virus?

Is this your desktop? One possibility is that the on-board battery has died and the time has had to reset itself. You could also try resetting your SMC or PMU; there are different ways to do that depending on which computer this is. If it is your G4, try this KB article on resetting the PMU:

Do you have a backup off the machine that's stable?
Now your files are still likely there, it's just a naming issue or a PRAM/SMC problem for power and a cache corruption issue for the files.
If you don't have a backup of your files, copy everything you can to a external storage drive and disconnect it.
Next run trhough this list of fixes, I suspect the SMC/PRAM reset will help with the power issues and the #12 OnyX cache cleaning routine will set your folders right.
Remmeber after the PRAM reset to set your time and date correctly. Pehaps that is what s throwing off the date on the folders?

Again your files are likely very much still on the drive, you can recvoer anything as long as it hasn't be secure erased or overwritten by new data yet

Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* It may not be necessary to create a new profile, so first try if it works with your current profile and if not then create a new profile.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

I went back to Outlook to change some files, but they didn't change in TBird. How do I update w/o making the same changes in TBird?

I've been using TBird for a month to test it out for our company. Late Friday, I then went back to my Outlook account and changed some files--moved some files into another existing folder and then deleted the old folder. When I went back to TBird after the weekend, I see that the changes I made to Outlook are not reflected in my TBird folders. Will this eventually happen, or is there something I need to do? Or will it never happen and will I have to make those same changes in TBird?

Your hardware was never designed to run that old a version of OS X, it's best to update the application or find another application that is more up to date. Installing Leopard simply will not work on your system.

Try a system reset. It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to do a time-consuming "Restore."

The first step in the update process via iTunes on the computer is a backup.
Restore the device from the most recent backup.
If data is lost, then it is merely the fault of the user for not backing up the device or saving their data regularly.
Once the device is in recovery mode, the ONLY option is to restore.

**PANIC** Reloaded Device Software and phone went back to Factory Settings

After media wouldn't sync every time I tried it, I reloaded my device software and it went back to factory settings in my Q10 and lost all my pictures (all my media, actually). FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

IPhoto went back to Jan 2011

When I was trying to fix IWeb somehow my IPhoto went back to the irtems wer in IPhoto in January 2011.
I have everything backed up on time Machine so how do I restore IPhot to yesterdays version?

Have you confirmed the problem in iPhoto or just from iWeb and the Media Browser window. If it's only the latter open iPhoto and make sure it is either all OK or missing the photos from Jan 2011.
If it does appear to be missing those photos try the following: make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
(This is assuming you're using iPhoto 8 or earlier. If you're using iPhoto 9 let us know)

Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If that doesn't help and you need to use Time Machine go to your Pictures folder and enter Time Machine. Go to yesterday's date, select the library and restore. If you have the space on your hard drive select the option to Keep Both versions just in case the backup isn't good. Then you can go back in time a bit at a time till you get the newer versions (if at all).
I'd try repairing your current library first.

This is sometimes caused by a problem with the iTunesPrefs.xml file, normally found at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunesPrefs.xml. Try dragging this to the desktop and trying again.
Alternatively the problem may be that you have McAfee AV and it is preventing iTunes from updating the same file and thus causing the problem. See Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml? for details.
