My daughter 11 bought an Ipod but before she could unwrap the cover, it fell from her pocket and down one stair. The screen is now broken - not just a crack! What can I do, she is very upset!
Can you advise me as to the best course of action and do you know how much it will cost?
Sometimes screen repairs can be as little as $29, but generally it depends on which size ipod she has.
The 8gb device will be $99 for an Out of Warranty repair.

i bought an new ipad 3rd gen 16 gb wifi cellular in may 2012. I hv a unique problem wherein the screen of ipad is not as smooth as what is general experience. Its not buggy but lacks smoothness and finger doesnot glide as smoothly .Can anybody help.
Do you clean your iPad screen? Do not use standard window cleaners, with ammonia or alcohol, like Windex, but a damp towel, followed by a micro-fibre cloth is recommended. There are also cleaners you can buy which are specifically designed for iPad/iPhone devices, such as iClean from Monster.

And never means never. LCDs aren't fall proof. Putting it on your bed was probably the least wise thing you could do, short of bathing it in a bathtub or rolling a bowling ball at it. Mattresses aren't solid, nor stable. I don't know what you were thinking. Your only possible concession might be some stores return/replacement policy, or your homeowners/apartment rental insurance. The former in most stores is only two weeks, and not all are no questions asked. The latter unfortunately may raise your deductable, or cut it off entirely depending on the policy. Good luck! -

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...

I've cracked the screen of my iPad 3... What can I do?

Apple advise you to have them repair it as it is glass and you could injure yourself.
If you have the AppleCare plus it will only cost you $49. If you do not, then it is considered accidental damage and not covered. Cost to replace would be dependent on the type you have. -
Since updating to the 7.0.3 my screen won't rotate to play games and it takes seconds for my words to show up after typing them. Also facebook lags really bad. What can I do to fix this?
That would depend if you have the potrait orientation lock - on.
If you see a lock icon with an arrow around it on top of the home screen next to your battery then that means you have it enabled.
to disable swipe up from the bottom of the phone (near home button) to access the control center, hit that icon. -
I've recently gotten a new laptop and replaced my damaged iphone. Apparently these 2 scenarios qualify as "new devices". This is fine but I also had lost my credit card previously that was connected to my iTunes account, and got a new one with all different numbers. When I try to change my billing information to this new card it won't let me because it says
"Your account has been accessed from a new device, and you must verify your payment information before you can make purchases."
and it asks for the security code of the card I had lost and replaced! I am not able to change my billing info to my new card thus because I can't get past this.

I have a Canon 20D and wish to download to my ipad when traveling- I have the camera attachment, but when I connect it- I get a message saying it does not support the device. Is there anything I can do?

Another solution would be to find a Compact Flash-to-USB card adapter that is compatible with the USB adapter in the Camera Connection Kit. Some such adapters draw too much current from the iPad.
You can also get a Secure Digital-to-Compact Flash adapter that would allow you to use SD cards in your camera.

Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!

Need help fast!- I suspect that he went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. For 1G or 2G iPod that can take hours and it will likely stall out if not connected to a charging source.
Try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The connect to computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Id something is still showing onthe screen, disconnect from computer/charging source and let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour, Try the reset and restore.
- If you can turn the iPod off, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovey mode:

My lock screen button is broken, no warranty, no insurance what can I do?
My iphone has been fine for a couple years, until recently my lock button stopped working. There is no water damage and I have not dropped the phone, its in very good condition. I do not have warranty on the phone or insurance, is there anything I can do?

This same thing happend to me, you have to make a new account and you have to chose your birthday as if your under 18 or 16, because if you dont own a credit card, you shouldnt be over this age, so basictly just make a new email and appleID and when you chose your birthday, do it under 16 years of age (or your REAL birthday) and you should have an option of clicking "none" for credit card options, but if you want to buy something, you will have to do the credit card stuff, or you can just buy an apple gift card at basictly any store, So this is how i fixed my problum, i hope it works for you, write back your responce of how it worked out please!
