When my daughter face times me she cand hear any sound on my end. I can hear her though.

I went to the Apple Store early in the problem, unfortunately they didn't have any official Apple reason for the problem.

Usually it means you are texting a number which isn't 10 digits in length. I would recommend that you delete the entry in your Contacts for your daughter, then find the text she sent you and create your new Contact from that. If she is listed in your favorites - delete her from there too, then re-add after a successful hook-up.

Back it up in iTunes! Just make a backup of the entire device but make sure you check sync contacts and the option to add contacts from phone to address book on computer.
