If the iPod was last backed up with the message on the iPod then restore from backup.
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
Make sure that you do not backup the iBod since that will overwrite the last backup.

First, don't give up and DO NOT restore your ipad. That will guarantee your pictures will be gone. Can you give more info? Has it been synced with itunes before/after you took the pictures? Please let us know all info including whether or not you use icloud backups.

Also, I just googled the question "how retrieve deleted pictures from ipad" and a list of sites/links came up. I haven't/don't have time to read them right now, but if you google it you might get some answers. However, don't act too fast. Know the source of the links and consider those sources. Read them and user reviews/responses to see if the different solutions work.

All my emails just disappeared, deleted from iphone...can i get them back?

I was opening an email and the application got stuck with a blank white screen. I turned it off and back on and all my saved mail was gone...everything I've received, everything i've sent...everything. All my accounts are still there and it is receiving new mail fine just like it should. It is just that all my old mail is gone.
Does itunes backup mail when doing a sync backup? I've never had to restore before so i am afraid...will it restore to original phone (blank phone) or will it restore it to what was on the phone before i backed it up?

No, I haven't been able to get them back. I have searched and searched and can't find any information on it. I guess they are gone forever...which really stinks because I use my iphone to send most of my emails so they were all on the phone instead of in my Outlook.

Deleted some contacts...can I get them back if they are not in my backups?

I used an app that let's you delete a ton of contacts at once, I think it was called Cleanup.
Now when I conntected my phone to my computer after deleting a few thousand contacts outlook synced my computer's contacts with my iPhone (not sure if this is regular) and so all of my contacts that got deleted from my phone also got deleted from my computer and now I'm missing contact info from about 3,000 of my clients.
I downloaded a backup recovery program but only 2 backups showed up and both contained the address book I currently have. Is there any other way I can get my contacts back?

According to this document: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 Contacts are not included in the backup. Only the settings for Mail, Contacts, Calendars accounts. It's not worded very well, but that's what it means. The information regarding the accounts are synced to is backed up, not the contacts themselves. Contacts are intended to be synced with an address book or cloud service. There is only enough contact information in the backup to maintain the "Phone Favorites" list. (the emphasis below is mine).
Backed-up information includes purchased music, TV shows, apps, and books*; photos and video in the Camera Roll; device settings (for example, Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts); app data; Home screen and app organization; Messages (iMessage, SMS, and MMS), ringtones, and more. Media files synced from your computer aren’t backed up, but can be restored by syncing with iTunes.

Facebook Albums have been deleted, yet still in iphoto - can I get them back on Facebook?

Something has happened on my Facebook account, and all my albums are missing (70+ albums)
However, on iPhoto - All of the Facebook albums still show up under the WEB section.
This would be ok, BUT, when i click onto an album a message comes up saying "Facebook album 'Holiday' has been deleted from Facebook, it will now be deleted from iPhoto" the only option is to click OK, or to force quit.
Is there a way to re-sync the albums back onto Facebook?
I know there are lots of forums on syncing the other way - from Facebook to iPhoto, but this question concerns syncing from iPhoto back up to Facebook...

exact same problem. I was doing a big clean up on my hard drive. and the FB section kept turning and turning. then I started to realize it is dumping my albums on FB!!
The weird thing is I've been synching albums to FB for years and never had this problem when I delete albums form iPhoto last year. I think this is the first time I have this problem. ie, there are albums that I have deleted on iphoto before and theya re still on FB now, I wonder if it is an iPhoto 11 problem.
grrrrr.. seems like Apple have given up on this one. so much for convenient synching. no more iPhoto I guess. maybe someone can recommend a Mac photo app that will treat ppl a bit nicer than iPhoto.

10.8.2 has deleted my user settings how can i get them back?

I logged on to find that my desktop had changed. I launched itunes and there were no songs there. I checked Macintosh HD/users to find that there weren't any folders there. I've looked at my disk usage and there is 160gb unaccounted for, so maybe there's hope to recover my lost data.

What happens now, when you open iPhoto? Are the photos not showing in the library or iPhoto still crashing?
What is your current iPhoto version?
If you imported the photos into iPhoto, but are no longer seeing them after the crash, try if rebuilding your iPhoto library will find the photos inside the library. Rebuilding might collect them in a "recovered" event.
To rebuild: That will depend on your iPhoto version - this article explains it for the older versions:

Yes, if they were purchased from iTunes. If they were CD's you copied to your iTunes library, then synced to your iPad, you may be forced to redownload the CDs again.
Connect your iPad to your computer via USB and with iTunes open wait for your iPad to recognized on the left side of the iTunes screen. Right click your iPad once and a dialog box will apear. Choose Transfer Purchases and the music apps, etc., you purchased will transfer to your iTunes library on your computer.

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

Your iOS device backup only includes data and settings stored on your device. It doesn’t include data already stored in iCloud, for example contacts, calendars, bookmarks, mail messages, notes, shared photo albums, iCloud Photo Library beta, My Photo Stream, and documents you save in iCloud using iOS apps and Mac apps.

I actually deleted my backup :-) That's the problem. But thanks.
I've managed to get some back but via a slightly different method.
Because the files weren't there, when I deleted them from my library they actually disappeared from the list.... So I created a new library (backed up my original one) and then synched that with Match so that all the files appeared. I'm just going through the ones I'm missing clicking 'download' and then when they're all back on my hard drive I'll revert to the previous Library which will hopefully pick up all of the recovered files.
