My daughter downloaded BearShare and I think it corrupted Firefox. I have no bookmarks or Back Button.
I can not get rid of Bearshare. Now my Firefox browser has no Back Button or Bookmarks and Firefox is no longer my default search engine.

Many developers when they updated their apps fro the newer iOSs dropped support for the older iOSs. That included Skype and other developers. Unless you have a copy of the apps version that was compatible with your iPod/iOS you are out of luck. Do you cave such a copy in a computer file backup??

Had problem with bookmarks, history, back button and google links not working.
For the last five days i've had problems with firefox. First, i noticed that it was running incredibly slowly and then that all the links in the google search were not working. Then i noticed that neither was the history, bookmarks or back button. I went on to facebook chat to ask for help. First, I was told to reinstall firefox, which didn't work. Then i was told to do a "clean" install where you rename the old firefox folder in the programs folder so that it makes sure when it's installed that everything is new and nothing is corrupted. That didn't work either. I then disabled my antivirus software and firewall to see if that was causing the problem. It was not. Then I installed an anti-malware program to remove any adware or spywar,e which it did remove from my computer, but it didn't solve the problem. The chat person was at a loss and I don't blame him/her because so was I.
The reason I'm writing this is in case anyone else has the same problem. The only way I solved it was first by uninstalling and making sure to check the little box asking if you want all personal data and such associated with firefox also removed (which removes cookies as well) and then I finally thought to delete all the cookies from the rest of my computer also. Once all the cookies were gone and i had fully uninstalled firefox and personal data, I reinstalled it with a newly downloaded file and it is once again functioning properly. Hope this is helpful to anyone who's been ripping their hair out. :)'''I have the same problem!!

I have Lost my safari app from my my, my daughter downloaded frostwire toolbar, and safari icon wouldnt respond , so i uninstalled frostwire and still could not get safari to respond, then i reset safari and lost everything, i tried to ininstall it from apple , it says successful, then i click on it and it asks me do i want to install, but thats it it never installs... For Documetns tap Settings > iCloud. Make sure Documents & Data ia switched on.
Now resrtart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. -

Windows live Photo Gallery is usually my default to open, but that is from a phone device connected to my computer.Usually "Flame" does this (a virus that should have been auto destructed 2 weeks ago). It could be another virus or worm. My advice, FIRST scan your computer with antivirus (completely). Don't use free antiviruses. They are not providing enough protection. Then delete all temp. files and browsing history. Remove and reinstall Firefox. (don't install it automatically: ask for custom install at the beginning). It is much better to download it again from www.mozilla.org because your actual version might be corrupted by the virus (IF ANY VIRUS IS FOUND). Anyway you won't lose downloading it again.
PS: Windows 7 includes a very useful tool to scan your PC. Windows Defender. Run it along with the antivirus. -

This problem started immediately after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1
If I open my inbox in my New Yahoo Mail, then open an email with attachments and then open the attachments to "view as a slide show"....I can't close the slide show and return to the email by clicking on the "return to Yahoo" button. If you click on it, it returns to the first pic shown, and if you click on it again, the pics disappear and a gray haze appears over most of the screen but none of the features under the gray screen work. I have found that if I hit the back page and then forward page buttons, I can get back to my inbox eventually, but this is a terrible "pain in the ass"!Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

just updated my iPhone 4s to ios6, now my phone won't turn back on. The apple logo comes on and sits then shuts off. Then comes back on and just sits.I have held down the home button and on/off switch several times to reset, but same problem persists.

Hold both Home and Power buttons, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode. If still problem and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution.

When updated Adobe flash, I was asked to close the browser window. I complied and when I re-opened, firefox was different and all of my stuff was gone.
go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> Disable and Remove the add-ons that look unwanted or suspicious -> Enable trustworthy add-ons -> Restart Firefox.

I need help with my back button. It goes crazy and instead of erasing one letter, it very quickly starts erasing the whole message...one letter at a time. But very quickly!
Try resetting your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo (ignoring the off slider that appears first), then release. If the problem persists, try restoring your phone.
