My daughter got an ipad so I took her ipod. The problem is both of them have the same user id and password so when I sinc the ipod to itunes, it downloads all of her apps/music that I don't want to the ipod. Is there a way to wipe out everything on the ipod and change the username/password (I guess) so that when I sinc it, it doesnt download her stuff? Also, there are a few songs that I have purchased through iTunes that I would like to keep, can I do this or will I have to re-purchase the music again?

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

Try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. it won't remove anything from your iTunes library. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. I sounds like you restored the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. In iTunes on yur computer go to iTunes Preferences. click on he Ddvices tab. If the date of the backup file indicate that it it has the history you can restore from that backup.

Yes, there are some apps that will use your iCloud storage to give you access to video. There are also other solutions such as You Tube, Vimeo or Dropbox. Apple doesn't provide any of it's own solutions for keeping video in iCloud.

Easiest way to delete TM backup and start over?

I have one firewire drive serving as TM backup for 3 different computers.
For my G5, I just want to erase it's entire TM backup and start over.
Can I simply delete the MyG5 folder inside of backups completely, empty trash, and start over like that WITHOUT causing any problems for the TM backups of my other computers on the same firewire drive?

Think that should work. It worked for me. I had been having all kinds of problems using 1TB TC. My set up was slightly different, but essentially I deleted the backup and started over, here is what I did:
switched off airport and connected via patch cable(ethernet cable, checked connection speed it was 1Gbit/sec.
accessed the disk via finder
located the sparse disk for my computer
selected it, hit cmmd-delete. You get a warning it will be deleted immediately.
Hit ok
once it is deleted, simply set up TM again on your computer.
Kept the wired connection for the first time though.(firewire is better of course)
My deleted back up was 94GB, it took about 3-4 minutes to delete.
It took about 30 mins for the first backup, size was 19GB first time
