My daughter got an Ipod Touch for Christmas and I am having the worst trouble just setting it up.
I downloaded Itunes but the Ipod is not showing up. I have reinstalled it, restarted my computer, and the Ipod. I cannot figure out why this Ipod is not showing up. I cant see in my computer or on Itunes. It shows on Windows Media Player but I cannot add music to it. Please help! I have music already I just needed to add it for my daughter. I have went through the diagnostics and it still has not helped me any.
1. Itunes is up to date.
2. I have checked the USB cable and it is ok.
3. I verified the apple supported device is installed properly.
4. I restarted both the Ipod and my computer.
This is what I get with the 5, error code 10 device cannot start.

Try:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

i would just like to know why when i bought a 69p app that it seems apple have taken 1.58 out of my bank account, the ipod has updated since i have had it but i was led to believe all the other free apps i downloaded were free, also that wifi was free so i cant see where the charge has come from, any advise would be very welcome, im a noob to apple merchandise.

my ipod classic keeps keeping my songs, and know not only is my ipod play up but itunes is too, very poor service from apple when i have been a customer for so long, i have had 4 ipods, 2 iphones and an ipad, in this day and age you would think they would provide you with a better quality of products and services! Get each a unique email address/account. The go to Settings>Messages>Receive At (Settings>FaceTime) and add their email address to their iPOd and then delete your email address.

Since you have the iPod touch 5th Generation 16GB 2013 Model, you cannot exchange it. Last week, they discontinued the iPod touch 5G 16GB (2013 Model) and now they have a back camera and colors. You cannot trade now unless you purchased it under 2 weeks ago and like lllaass said, you can get 10% off a new iPod touch 5G 16GB which would be $20 off and it would cost $179 with tax. The manual does not show that feature natively for the iPod. Later iPhones and iPads have that feature natively. -

I had the same trouble today, I kept entering the sky password but would not accept, my iMac and iPod work ok but just could not get my iPod to work. But I found the fault, the password is case sensitive and mine on sky is in caps, the up arrows on the keypad put the caps on,but after each letter you must put the caps back or it wil revert to lower case, I hope this may help you
