My daughter has an i pod with songs on it but how do I put those songs on to my i tune library. We are frightened to sync anything in fear of loosing the songs from the i pod but cant back up until its on a library. hope that makes sense?

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

My daughter has an ipod touch with alot of games and music on it. The computer it was synced to is forever gone and on her new computer some of the games dont show up along with her music. She is worried if she connects it to her new computer all will be lost. Is there anyway for this to not happen? The ipod is on its last life due to a cracked screen, and as for the games she has spent money on them such as smurf village and others. When i looked at game center on my phone about less than half of that game showed up. Is there anyway to fix these things before its to late and eveything is gone forever?

I added an iTunes card to my account. THe balance shows on the account, but I can not download, because iTunes has an issue with the debit card linked to the account. Shouldn't it default to the balance from the card I added?

You need to fix the issue with the credit card on the iTunes account or you can remove the credit card.

How do I seperate the video from the song?

I understand how to create a cd using iTunes, but for music videos/songs I've purchased, how do I burn ONLY the song and not have the video attatched? Is this even possible?

If it is a music video you can't separate the sound from the video, it is all together. There may be a way to play the video with iTunes and use another program to capture only the sound but I have no idea.

Yes, but be sure she is on a separate iCloud account with a separate ID before deleting anything. Be sure there is nothing that you want to keep on your device too. When you delete the data from iCloud it will be deleted from all devices signed into the account. Then you can delete the data from the existing account by doing the following:
To delete the contacts, go to iCloud.com from your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts on the left, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the Actions (gear shaped) icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
For Calendars, open the calendar on icloud.com, click Edit on the bottom left, then tap the minus sign to the right of each calendar to delete it.
For Notes, open notes on icloud.com, click on each note on the left, then click Delete at the top to delete it.
For Reminders, open reminders on icloud.com, click on each reminder and press your Delete key to delete it.
For Mail, open your mail on icloud.com, click each folder on the left (such as your inbox), click on a single message to the right, press Control-A on your keyboard to select them all, then press your Delete key. Repeat this for each of your mail folders except Trash. When finished, click on the actions (gear-shaped) icon on the bottom left and select Empty Trash.
If you also want to delete your iCloud backups you can go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on your device, tap the name of your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
Delete and recreate your email settings.
Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Just use your backup to put everything back. This is one of the many reason that backup are very basic.
