I did not get authorized permission to purchase this and she thought it was for free now I'm trying to contact someone to see how I can get my money back

Purchases are considered final, bu you can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will credit or refund you (we are fellow users here on these forums : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
To try and stop it happening again you might have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting on your iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which your password doesn't need re-entering), and you can also turn off in-app purchases via the Restrictions screen

The reason I asked is I like using Verizon Messages and found out via a chat on your website that with iMessaging, you can't see those messages on Verizon Messages. Drew how is that even possible? I use gift cards all the time, any time I've had insufficient funds iTunes will not allow the purchase, sights Insufficient funds and rejects the purchase. Any time I log into my account the money in that account appears in the upper left corner. If you're not seeing that then you have other issues. Anyway... Kneil is right you should be able to rip CDs you own to your iTunes library (regardless of your money matters with iTunes), then depending on how you set up the music you need to add it to your playlist and then sync it to your iPod. Did imported music ever work? How are you ripping or importing the music to iTunes? Are you using a compatible format?
Something else to look at-- It's possible your cable is defective, have you tried a new or different cable? Some of what your describing is a bad cable issue. Good luck, Cheers.

Are you talking about changing the Apple ID used for purchases in iTunes? If so go to 'Settings->iTunes & App Store-> then 'tap' on the Apple ID that appears and click Sign Out on menu that appears. You can now login with a different Apple ID.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

As Winston Churchill wrote, however you might want to do a factory reset on the Apple TV.
This way all information pertaining to your daughter will be removed from the device. Specifically if see was sign into any of the streaming service, Netflix, Hulu, etc. her credentials will still be associated with this Apple TV, doing a factory reset will remove all that and make it as if you purchased the device and just plugged it in.

If you don't have a 2nd device available which is already setup with your Sync account, pairing can't be done.
In order to set up a '''new device''' when you can't "pair", you need three things; the user account name ''(email address used)'', the password for the account, and the '''Sync Key'''.
If you didn't make a copy of the Sync Key as prompted at the end of the Sync set up process, you can't successfully setup a new device and won't be able to recover your data.
