My daughter who is ten just got a new ipod nano. It is not showing up on itunes. I tried setting her up on her own account and ofcourse it would not let us do that because of age. How do I fix my error so that we can have the ipod nano on there now?

Ok I am new to this stuff. I got my daughter an ipod nano. for some reason it is not showing up on the screen for itunes. when i first started working on it, i tried to set up an account for her and since then cannot get it to work. please help!

As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

You don't need to delete anything from your phone or you old computer.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer or backup to /Music/ on new computer.
If you cannot use the old computer or don't have a backup...
-> Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Then immediately make a backup of your new computer.
Get an external drive and plug it in and use -> Time Machine

You can not activate it without a SIM. If it is carrier locked, the SIM must be from the carrier it is locked to.
The SIM does not have to be tied to an active line of service, but it MUST be present.

I just got a new hard drive, iCloud only remembered a handful of my music and, I don't know how to get the music from my iPhone back into my iTunes library. I want to put new music onto my phone and, I want to make some new playlists and edit some mistakes I found on the songs on my iPhone.
Please help? I am practically in tears here; I am a part-time DJ and do not need this kind of stress.
I do not want to hear that my iPhone is not a back-up device; I just want my iTunes library and the iTunes on my phone to have all the same music so that I can make playlists with everything and such.

It’s not.
Bad hard drives (and important info) are two reasons you back up your computer regularly.

Okay so I figured out the solution by reading other discussions. Basically you need to delete on your phone the icloud account and start up a new icloud account with a new email address. This is nice because you can still share apps without getting everyone elses things. The only thing that didn't get worked out was the notes...
On your phone go to settings and then icloud, scroll down and delete the account. Then just make a new icloud under a new email.

If you are using the computer that you normally backup and sync with, it shouldn't be asking for a passcode. If you are not, then you would need to enter it, and I understand that you cannot. There is no way around this requirement, so your only alternative is to use the last backup that you made of the device. Hopefully it wasn't that long ago.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. Launch iTunes on the new computer. From the iTunes menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
Connect the iPod to your computer then select it under Devices left side of the iTunes window.
Then from the iTunes menu bar click File / Transfer Purchases From..

If your backup is in iCloud, and your new iPhone is already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go throught the setup screens on the iPhone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. (If it isn't set up yet, just choose this option when setting it up.)
Be sure your iPhone it connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.
