My default browser will not show my page WHY

I have a Coffee cup 2008 HTML editor and when I put a page together I look at it and click on check in default browser and below is what I get.
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at /C:/Program Files (x86)/CoffeeCup Software/Working/page929.html.
* Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
* Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
Can anyone HELP me
I might add It works fine with Internet Explorer but not with Firefox.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Will not show web page on windows high contrast

Hi,
Am running Windows 7 64bit
my problem is as follows.
I normally run Windows in high contrast mode and would prefer all web sites to be on the dark side.
Occasionally I need to be able to see a web page as its designers intended it to be.
So I want to have the text white and background black and then the ability to toggle between that and the web page's own colour scheme.
Thought I'd found exactly what I needed in the add-on "Toggle Document Colors 1.0"
Am presuming it toggles the status of the "Allow pages to choose their own colours..." tick box.
This setting seems to get lost when FF closes. Even if I set the tick box myself and then close FF it is gone when I reopen FF.
If the box is ticked and a page refreshed it still does not show web page colours ?
Without any addons at all after a reset and only using the colours dialog I cannot get it to behave.
If you start in Windows white mode (normal) things are better even after FF close. Change to Windows black mode (high contrast) things start off ok then after you close FF it will not work
If there is a solution I would love to know it.
Will settle for a workaround.
Considered using old version of FF, but this is not really a good idea.
Really don't want to go back to IE

iTunes does not yet support Windows 8, so there may not be a fix until such time as Apple releases a version of iTunes that does support 8. You can search this forum for "windows 8", though, and perhaps you'll find a suggestion in one of the other threads on the issue.

Fonts Not Showing in Pages: Why?

I have an extensive font library installed on my machine (running latest version of OS X Mavericks).
All of my fonts appear in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, et al. But the vast majority of fonts will not appear in my font list in Pages.
Why is this happening and how can it be fixed?

I went to the Apple Store and obtained the answer.
Apparently Apple changed the way OS X and their apps handle non-unicode fonts. If the font is not mapped to the Latin keyboard layout, then the font will not appear in the font menu of any program made by Apple. So, for example, Zapf Dingbats, Symbol, et al. will not show up in your menu and you cannot type those characters into a Pages document
-- UNLESS --
you open Character Viewer and manually select the font there and then type the character using Character Viewer.
It's insane.
I really think that the easiest solution to this is for Apple to simply have the Font manager map non-unicode fonts automatically the way that Adobe Type Manager used to back in the day.
The workaround to use a font like Zapf Dingbats feels a lot more like using a Windows machine than a Mac. Very un-Apple-esque.

1 sheet with multiple pages will not show various page numbers

I'm having a difficult time differentiating between pages and sheets in Numbers. For example, I have 1 sheet with 5 pages. I am inserting page numbers (done, re-done several times after looking through the forum), but each page will not print with a sequential number (ie. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Instead, each page is 1. When I scroll over the number "1" on, say, page 3, the number 3 shows up. But unfortunately t will not print with anything but page number 1.

I am having a problem that is close to this, when I try and preview my site in browser some of the pages show up as a white and gray blocks only. I can not seem to find any reason or connection to what pages are doing this. The only page that has a video seems to work fine. Its almost acting like the links are broken or something. Any help would be welcomed.

PDF in-browser will not show attachments panel

Hi. I'm working with a PDF with attachments. I created it to open with the attachments panel visibile. It works fine except for in Chrome, it shows the PDF in-browser but the attachments panel is not visible. This is causing some problems for our site users.
What is the solution here. I'm working my IT department to update the .htaccess file to force all PDF files to download, but this seems like an overly complex solution.
Why won't the attachment panel just show up in Chrome?

That's not exactly helpful, I know I can set my local computer settings . I was looking for a solution to force the download on our users pages. I came up with a solution regardless.
I just ended updating the .htaccess, adding this command which forces all .pdf files to download versus rendering in the browser, however this is still ignored by Chrome:
AddType application/octet-stream .pdf
But since Chrome accepts HTML5, I also added the download attribute:
<a href="../files/is/2013_EPP_RFP.pdf" download="2013_EPP_RFP.pdf" target="_blank">2013 EPP RFP</a></div>

Starting this afternoon, my firefox browser will not show the address that i am on, nor will the backspace button appear, nor does the new history show up. So, i went from 9.0.1 to 10.0 an hour ago. Same problem. Anyone else?

The whole look of FF was different when this started and after upgrading to 10.0. The tabs don't show up and I have to manually get a new tab.

When i open itunes it will not show home page

I cannot open the iTunes home page on my PC to manage my new iPadMini. When I open itunes it goes straight to my music library - originally created for my iPod.

Click on your preference and check the Parental tab for possible restrictions. Open iTunes, then click the iTunes menu, select preferences after the window opens click on the Parental icon, take a look at the content restrictions section.

Help please.. .iweb will not show pages anymore

have 2 different full sites built and have had no problem in iweb 09.. until now. had moved pages and was publishing back to folder when . . . . it wouldn't publish... then i went to open pages in iweb and it will not show any pages or any site. i can open iweb, but the directory will not come up...
even tried to restore the application .... no go.... i now have 2 sites and, oh, about 25-plus pages lost somewhere..
any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - reboot.
5 - launch iWeb and see if there's any improvement.
If that doesn't help continue:
6 - move the domain file from your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
7 - launch iWeb, create a new test site and save.
8 - go to the your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
9 - move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
10 - launch iWeb and try again.

Media browser will not load iphoto

Hi
My pages media browser will not show my iphoto pics. It shows my files from garageband, but not iphoto. I tried dragging iphoto into the iwork folder and I also downloaded the ilife support 9.0.3 which was recommended in another post,but neither worked. I am able to drag photo folders, but not iphoto files.

Welcome to the forum.
Have you moved or renamed any of the iLife or iWork suite? The whole workflow relies on being able to find all the files where they are supposed to be.
It is best to leave all of these alone.
You can not drag iPhoto (an application) into the Media Browser.
You can drag in folders of graphics and it will then browse those. Just be aware it is not actually holding any of the images, just providing links to where they are filed.

when trying to use Add Headers Footers , the page will not show the Right side of the HeadersFooters page (pls see image attached) That is as wide as it will go, even on a large external monitor - so you are unable to enter
information in the other fields.

File Browser, properties, library window will not show up

I'm using an old version of Motion 3 and my File Browser, properties, library window will not show up even when I click on the icons and/or press command+2,3, or 4 . Seems to be some kind of settings glitch as Motion works fine when logged in under another user. Any thoughts.

Plist files contain instructions for recording and executing tasks associated with the the application or function that owns them. They can and do become corrupted. If you look in the username/Library/Preferences Folder you can usually guess what application or function the .plist serves by analyzing the file name. In this case it was the com.apple.iCal.plist file.
Proper identification of the appropriate .plist file is not always so obvious. When an application malfunctions, removing the associated .plist file from the preferences folder to the Desktop is often the easiest first troubleshooting step. Then log out/in or restart and re-evaluate the performance of the application.
A new default .plist file is automatically created in your Preferences Folder after you remove the recalcitrant .plist and initiate the log out/in restart sequence. You can expect default application behavior and you will have to reset some preferences. If the application or function returns to normal after removing the .plist file, it will prove that the original file was corrupt, and you can now safely trash the .plist file which you placed on the Desktop.
If the application or function is unsatisfactory with the new plist file, the original plist file which was placed on the Desktop can be safely returned to the preferences folder. Just allow the system to replace the newer plist.
If you are having problems with any aspect of OS X, experiment with deleting the appropriate .plist file. Plist corruption is not uncommon and .plist file deletion often cures many problems. Too many users try intricate solutions first and end up complicating their minor problem.
