My Dell laptop wont recognize my iphone4

HELP ASAP!! Im overloaded with pictures and when I use my USB to try and transfer these pictures to my Dell Laptop it will not recognize the new device....HOWEVER, When I plug in the iPad it immediately recognizes that device??

hmmmm. the iPod uses the standard Windows USB mass storage drivers, so we're not looking for drivers from an external source.
we had success with a code 28 recently using the techniques from this MarkJones post:

I purchased a new laptop recently running Windows Vista. I immediately downloaded The latest version of iTunes. I have no problems purchasing or importing music. when I attach my 80g Ipod video to a usb port on my laptop, iTunes doesnt recognize that the Ipod is even connected. I had no problems before when I synced my Ipod. Please help.

Laptop wont recognize my phone anymore?

Hi,
When I connect my phone to my laptop via the usb cable it now says it doesn't recognise the usb devise ('USB Device Not Regognised'). Then after I unplug and replug it afew times it lets me access my files and transfer my photos to my pictures folder, but about half way through it suddenly stops and cancelles the transfer and says it doesn't recognise my usb device again!
I don't know but I think it may be since I did the OS update on my phone...
Not sure what to do about this...

I've believe I've gone through the entire process for syncing my iphone to my HP laptop which has itunes installed on it. However, I am unable
to move music from the laptop to the iphone. When I connect my phone to the laptop it shows the device button at the top of the screen. when I click
on the button the button disappears. I am unable to transfer music from the laptop to the phone

Try cleaning the dock connector. Try a new cable.

If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Hello, my name is Moises and i have a hp pavilion dv6000 and my hard drive just died. I looked up some information and purchased a Samsung hd500ji 2.5 500gb and for some reason it's not listed on bios. I ran Ultimate BOOT CD to see what some of the programs detect it and yes it shows up.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

This laptop is a bit old and the new hard drive is probably not supported by the BIOS. The biggest hard drive for a Dv6000 laptop is 200GB 4200rpm or 160GB 5400rpm. I suggest to buy a 160GB 5400rpm one and also some external storage for data. As you can see your old hard drive died so use the hard drive in the laptop for system only and keep important data somewhere else...

Someone connected my Superdrive to a Dell Laptop and now it wont work

I had a coworker connect my superdrive to their PC thinking it would allow them to run DVD's on their Dell laptop. Instead I now cant use it on my Macbook. Is there a way to undo this error, or did this fry my superdrive? My Macbook now wont even recognize that the drive is connected to it.

yes it will charge otherwise places with the apdotor but when I put the just the wire in my pc it will not work it wont even be recognized by the cumputer (I know its not the wire because its chargeing now in a outlet ) iam try to reset it in the cp and itunes will not recognize it in the link did not help either
