My desired E-mail address is refused?

In trying to establish a "screen name",all my suggestions have been refused. I would rather use the name I have used for several years, but have been told that it is not accepetable. How may I proceed without a "screen name"?
I would like to be able to download my financial services reports such as Standard & Poors earnings reports, and other similar data. If I can't get this information I don't need to subscribe to your service. Please help me understand what the problems are?
I have entered my subscription for Adobe Acrobat and have been trying to download a trial run in order to see if it is what I need

Send Incoming Texts (IMESSAGE) to My E Mail Address

I researched a post that stated to "add my email address (make sure the checkmark is there) to settings, messages, send messages to...."
I did that, and tested it but it does not work. The incoming text does not appear in my e mail in box.
I operate a business where everything has to be documented for the file. When I receive data from a client in text form, I have to be able to print the text. I did so in the past by simply e mailing the text to myself. Asking clients to not text me is not an option.
I converted to IPHONE today from Android, and cannot find anything similar to the Zee Software app that specifically allows any text to be sent to any desired e mail address. I have done quite a bit of searching and am not finding anything commensurate w/ IPHONE.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't be the only IPHONE user that has to print their texts but I can't seem to find any solution.
I'm aware of the screenshot method but that is not a feasible long term solution b/c most of my incoming texts and threads are longer than one screen-shot's worth of data.

How are you trying to change it ?
You should be able to log out of an account by clicking on it at the top left of the store's pages on your computer's iTunes, or via the Store > Sign Out menu option (if you are using a PC and the drop-down menus aren't showing at the top of iTunes then control-B should get them to show). You can then sign in with your own account (the Store > Sign Out menu option should change to a Sign In option) - does that work ?

Forms distribution and e-mail addresses

I am trying to distribute a form via e-mail and my return e-mail address is refused by Acrobat as being a valid address. It appears to be the suffix part of the address which is @istr.org.uk is the problem.
Is there a work around for this?

Hi George,
Double checked the 'space situation' whilst it was not obvious that appears to be the problem. When I now use the address having positively deleted any extraneous characters visible or not the address works.
I am puzzled by this as I am quite careful about typos in addresses. Do you think that the system introduced this oddity?

I had the same promblem using my ipad2, I thought i was going crazy, then I noticed once when I put my user name in and checked it was right, one time it dropped the last letter of my U/N as went to hit submit so i went back put the deleted "m" back into ".com", hit enter, put in my password multiple times, tripple checked, no joy. So I hit remote on my iphone4s did the same UN/PW and it worked first time! I had the same promblem with accessing YouTube - I know I was putting the right UN/PW in but it wouldn't let me in, then miraculously one time it did... could be a letter dropping bug...

Go to settings -> mail contacts and calendars -> tap on the desired account and choose delete at the bottom of the page. This will delete the email accunt from the device.

I want to stop the extra part of an E-Mail Address from appearing at beginning during manual type entry

A couple of upgrades ago I noticed when I started typing an E-Mail Address manually, just as before, it starts coming up with suggestions. NOW, when I select, it adds the search typing in front of the Name and E-Mail Address. Before the Name and E-Mail Address replaced the search typing. Is still does the replace IF there is MORE than one possible displayed and I click on the desired.
If I type tru I get what I want BUT it enters "tru >> Fire Company Trustees <[email protected]>" into the address line. I put the quotes to show what is actually included, which is the letters tru AND the >>. I now have to remember to go back and "clean up", getting rid of the "tru >>" so it says Fire Company Trustees <[email protected]>

Are you using 34.4? if not please update and see if you still have the issue. As I understand it 34.4 Fixes this.

I receive emergency requests for service thru e mails. my old BB let you assign separate sounds for incoming e mail addresses. can I duplicate that with Iphone or MUST I be woken with each and every incoming e mail?

I have email messages alert sounds turned off except for VIP addresses (of which I have only one). That means I only get alerted for that one address.
To add a Contacts entry to VIP senders in iPhone Mail:
Open your list of mailboxes in iPhone Mail.
Tap the > button next to VIP.
Select Add VIP… at the list's end.
Tap the desired entry from your contacts.
Then, in Notifications>Mail, turn off the souds for your email account but enable them for VIP.
Note that all VIP emails will have the same tone. It's more like the Priority feature on a BB than custom text tones.

Using Yahoo Basic Mail w/FF, no drop down box of my e-mail contacts as I type an e-mail address - but it works in IE 8, plz fix ...

I use Yahoo Basic Mail. When composing an e-mail, Yahoo has an "e-mail address autocomplete" function. As I begin to type an e-mail address in the To CC, or BCC boxes - if there are addresses in my Yahoo Contact list with the same string of characters, a drop down box appears and I can click on the desired address and it populates the To, CC, or BCC box. This is an extremely convenient feature.
And, it works with IE 8. BUT, this feature DOES NOT work with FF 30.
Obviously, this is a problem with FF 30 - can you plz advise as how to correct the problem?
FYI: Java plug-in is always activated and JavaScript is default enabled in FF 30 on my PC.

I am new to mac and would like to know how to set up a different e-mail address for each"user". I have one for my business but i dont want that one to be used by my daughter. How do i set this up? Any info would help! Thanx

First you need to get your daughter her own email account with associated emal address provided by your internet service provider used for connecting to the internet which is included with your monthly service or by an email account provider only such as an Apple .Mac account, etc.
Next create a computer login account for your daughter without admin privileges which can be a managed account if desired.

Each computer login account with OS X has its own Home folder/directory for storing data along with each user creating and accessing their email account only with the Mail application or their email client of choice under their login account.
Each login account has a Shared folder to place files, etc. to be shared by other users under their login account.
You can enable Fast User Switching to make the process of switching between multiple computer login accounts a fast and easy process and for added security, you can disable automatic login for your admin account or globally for all login accounts which requires manually entering your login account password to login to your account during a computer startup, restart and with fast user switching.

Hi, I've done a forum search, found lots of posts but none 'solved'.
I want to export all the e-mail addresses from Address Book as a simple .txt file

There may be a more direct way, but one thing you can do...
1.[Optional] Create a Smart Group with criteria - [Email] [is Set]
2. Go to Print - set Style to List and uncheck everything except email
3. From the Print dialog, Save As PDF
4. Open the PDF and select/copy all the text
5. Open TextEdit and Paste
6. Use a Find&Replace, if desired, to remove or separate the email identifier (work, home, etc)
If, by chance, you want just the email addresses -not the associated names- you can go through Mail instead.
1. Drag the Group to the To: of a new message
2. Ctrl-click the Group name and Expand Group
3. Select them with the mouse
4. Copy
5. Paste into TextEdit

Is it possible for a user to complete an on line form in the members only section of my web site and then enter an e-mail address to send the form to.
It appears most forms have a default e-mail address that the form is sent to when the user clicks the submit button, i would like the user to enter any e-mail address they like to send the information to as well as the default e-mail address.
I am using windows 7, Dreamweaver CS4 and ASP server pages to have members logon to the members only section.

Why do you think so? This is not the case.
Just process the form, and use the contents of the field in which the visitor has placed the desired target email address (properly sanitized, of course to avoid email injection problems) as the "To:" address in your call to the mailserver.

TS3276 Runaway Mail addresses

I am having a problem with Mail. I use Mail for automated E-mail generated in FileMaker. My OS is 10.7.4.
The script is running properly. It generates email addresses from a field in the database file running in FileMaker.
When addresses are exported to Mail, the e-mail addresses get weird. For example, "John Smith MBA" gets changed to MBA, MBA, MBA. Someimes, that becomes an email address itself.
I have tried to discard these addresses, edit them, etc. but to no avail. Mail refuses to send out emails to perfectly correct addresses, saying "Address doe snot appear to be correct."
[The alternative is Outlook for Mac, which has no problem like this. However, it offers no way to turn off HTML formatting, without which the whole Email is one paragraph.]
It is amazing how mail is completely screwed up between Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook.

Apple ID and @Me E-Mail Address

I have a new @me e-mail address via the new iOS5 and cloud. My current primary apple id uses a gmail e-mail address. It appears that it will not allow me to make my @me e-mail address the primary apple id. Is this true? Any way around this?
I really want to eliminate my gmail e-mail and make my @me email my primary. If this is not possible yet I want to express my desire in allowing this.

your @me address IS an Apple ID.
However, you can add the G-Mail address to the @me account on appleid.apple.com.
Many people do not realise that the @me 'Email' is an Apple ID.
Log into appleid.apple.com using the @me address and password.
Click 'Add Email Address' add the G-Mail address.
The G-Mail Apple ID allows you to add other addresses such as AOL, Yahoo etc. because they are EMAIL addresses.
The @me address (That is set up as an email address) Is an Apple ID.
Same goes for trying to change the primary @me Apple ID address to the G-Mail address, that is already used as an Apple ID.

If you erase the iPad completely, (erase all content and settings) the addresses will go away, but they will return again as soon as you start sending emails again and entering text in the To: field. And you will have to set the iPad up all over again.
If you reset all settings - they will not go away.
Erasing the device is pretty radical and it is only a temporary fix anyway. The suggested email addresses window will always pop up when you start entering text into the To: field and there is no way to deactivate it.

How can I display selected tags across multiple e-mail addresses?

I receive email on a specific topic but via several e-mail addresses. How can I view selected tags where the resulting e-mails span several (7) email addresses. They are all active on my Thunderbird, but as far as I know, I can only display the selected tag on one of them at a time.
Any assistance greatly appreciated as this is a very big problem for me.

This solution does not appear to work across multiple e-mail addresses.
Perhaps I should have said "work across multiple e-mail address at the same time. I get e-mail on specific topics via several email addresses and wish to view all the tagged emails regardless of which email account in which they reside.
I could not get this solution to select more than one email account at a time.
