My device isn't rooted, but device status says custom

I have never rooted or modified my Galaxy Note 3 but when I boot it up there is an unlocked padlock symbol that says "custom". It also says "custom" under "device status" in the settings. If it isn't rooted, why does my phone say that it's custom?

I bought my phone brand new from an official AT&T store.I have never rooted my phone before and I haven't let anybody else root my phone.Also, in bootloader, next to "Knox warranty void" it says "0 X 0". Knox was not tripped Is there anything else that might be causing the "custom" system status?

There are only three things which could be wrong.
1 the cable is bad or not properly connected. (most probable)
2 the DSL device (what kind of DSL device, btw?) is bad or has a bad port or is not properly connected.
3 the Mac has a bad ethernet port, a bad ethernet controller chip, or is not properly connected.
I'd verify that the cable has a good connection, first thing. The best way is to unplug it (at both ends) and then plug it back in.
If no joy, I'd go over to a friend's place with Mac, cable, and DSL device.
I'd plug the Mac into the friend's local net, using the friend's cable; if that works, the problem isn't on the Mac. If it doesn't, I'd take the Mac over to a repair shop or would get a wireless card (if not installed already) and a wireless router and connect wirelessly. Be advised that the ethernet port on an iMac is built into the motherboard, and replacing/repairing that port will require a motherboard swap and will be expensive if you're not still under warranty or AppleCare.
If the Mac works with the friend's cable, replace that cable with yours. If it stops working, your cable is bad. Replace it. If it keeps working, your DSL device is bad. Replace it.

My Mac mini isn't reading my camcorder. Says no device found. I'm trying to upload my Christmas video to iMovie but it says no device connected.

Since nothing connects, try resetting the SMC.
I am not trying to be funny, but be sure the Mac Bluetooth is turned on...

PCI-6221 fails self-test in MAX but device manager says it's working

Hi everyone,
I bought a few PCI-6221 (37-pin) data acquisition cards and have been able to get one to work but 3 others don't work.
Device Manager sees them and says they work. MAX sees them and when I run Self Test, they fail with error number
-50002. Motherboards in non-working systems are PC Chips M957G and P25G. OS is Windows XP Pro with SP2.
I already tried uninstalling SW and the board, reinstalling SW and the
board...autodetect etc works fine. I even reformatted
the HD on one of the computers and reinstalled the OS. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. Halden

Thanks Tom for your suggestion to try NI-DAQ 8.0. I just saw it today. Yesterday,
I was able to isolate 3 PCI-6221-37 boards as defective because they all wouldn't work in another computer while
one other identical model card did work in that same computer. I called to arrange to return them to NI and learned
that for these 3, I needed NI-DAQ 8.0. The fourth one was okay
with NI-DAQ 7.5. Apparently, this was a known problem.
I wish NI would have simply notified me that my boards would
not work with the software sent with them and sent the NIDAQ 8.0 CD as soon as they knew rather than have me
waste a day of my engineering time trying to figure it all out. Booo NI.
One of the boards has worked for almost a day under NIDAQ 8.0. I was able to make some progress on the
system I am building. But then it stopped working. LabVIEW
(version 7.0 executable) programs would not open completely
or would open slowly. One that accessed the COM port only (no
data acquisition) did work. MAX opened very slowly or not at all
and when I click on
Devices and Interfaces, the hourglass is up for a long time and finally the + icon goes away indicating that MAX is not
aware of any devices being present. The Windows Device Manager says the board is present and working. Windows
Task Manager lists LabVIEW Runtime and MAX when only MAX is open and indicates that MAX is Not Responding.
I shut down the computer, removed the PCI-6221 board, booted it up again, and MAX is the same way. I uninstalled
MAX and NI-DAQ LabVIEW 7.0 support and then reinstalled them.
Now the MAX loading window is up for more than a minute and NIMAX.exe is listed in Task Manager's processes. After
the first minute, LabVIEW Runtime appears in the Task Manager's
Applications list. After a while longer, the MAX window finally
opens
and MAX is listed in the Applications. I click on the + icon by Devices and Interfaces in MAX and the hourglass appears
and Windows Task Manager says MAX is Not Responding. Eventually, the + icon and the hourglass go away and
the Task Manager lists LabVIEW Runtime and MAX as Running.
I shut the computer off for several minutes, started it up again, and MAX is still takes a long, long time to open.
I haven't put the PCI-6221 card back in because MAX still isn't working.
What do you suggest I do next?

Printer Device Status Page Error on IPP site

I have print services on Windows Server 2012 Datacenter. When I go to the IPP site and click on a printer that has a Device Status link under the View section, I receive an error,"Device Status Page Error...We are unable to generate the device
status page for the selected printer. Please contact your system administrator for more information". This happens on all our printers that has a Device Status link. And the printers are different models and some are type 3 and type 4. I have tried accessing
the ipp page on Server 2012 and Windows 7 and it still gives the same errors.

You are correct about Microsoft not creating a hotfix for this issue in current versions of Windows. Microsoft support replied to me and indicated the following:

How to stop Device Status Alerts

I recently installed the software for an All-In-One C7280 including the HP Solution Center. I like the convenience of one click access to printer information but teh Device Status Alerts that pop up in the corner of the screen are too big, too intrusive and annoying. I've searched the settings and can't find any way to turn them off. I don't want to turn off the Imaging Monitor and lose the features but these things are making me crazy. Can anyone help?

I am equally annoyed and have searched all the help menus in the HP software to no avail. Evidently, HP expects us to automatically fall in love with these annoying work-intruders:

Device status ESTO INST

Dear experts,
for one device i am getting the device status message as ESTO INST in IE03 txr, can any one have idea for what reason its showing both the status? either it should be INST or ESTO, this device is all ready installed for one installation also.

It's possible to have status INST ESTO at the same time.
I mean you can execute a good receipt for an installed equipment. System ONLY sends a WARNING. It's explained in the old note 98966.
With this logic it is not possible to dismantle an equipment which is on stock AND installed into a functional location. Status ESTO will forbid dismantling.
There are some possible options:
1. When equipment has status ESTO and INST:
   You can now move the serialized equipment from stock (eg. with transaction MB11). Now the status ESTO isn't active anymore. Now you can dismantle the equipment from the functional location.
2. Modify the system status logic:
   Call transaction BS22
     System Status I0184
     Double Click
     At business transaction PMO3 change from forbidden
     to warning (or allowed).
   This is considered a modification and you should only do this to resolve the current situation, restore the original settings after processing current data.
3. You can use the user status logic to forbit moving an serialized equipment on stock which is still installed into a functional location. Creating a user status is NO modification.
   3. can be used in combination with point 1. and is preventing a return of an installed equipment.
4. It is also possible to enable/disable status ESTO using menu path:
       Edit > Special serial no functions > Manual transaction

Within this commonfiles\apple folder, there is only one folder, labeled "Internet Services." Within this folder, there are 6 folders, labeled:
APLZOD.resources
BookmarkDAV_client.resources
CoreDAV.resources
iCloud.resources
iCloudServices.resources
ShellStreams.resources
Within all but CoreDAV and BookmarkDAV_client, there are multiple different folders, all labeled starting with a two letter (acronym I believe, for different languages) then .lproj (for example, a folder is labeled "ar.lproj".
In each of the folders of APLZOD.resources, there is a file labeled "APLZODlocalized.dll."
In all of the folders containing the multiple .lproj folders, there are likewise "name"localized.dll files contained.
In the BookmarkDAV_client and Core DAV folders, they each contain only one file, "Info.plist"
I attempted to delete all of these files, and still, the FileAssassin could not delete them. I unlocked one of them for instance, and I tried to delete the file myself (thru windows explorer and just clicking delete), and I still had the same issue of coming eventually to the window requesting me to "try again" to have permission.
What can I do?? I'd like to avoid Unlocker, but if it really is a reliable and SAFE program, and someone knows a SAFE place to download it from, I'd appreciate it very much so!!

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
