My downloaded aps won't launch on iPad

I hooked up to my work computer today and I've never done that before so it asked me to sync iTunes, I thought I declined but I was tethering using iBooks... Now none of my downloaded aps will launch.  I'm on the iPad 3

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

    Hi,
    Since updating to iTunes 7.3.1 my eMusic Download Manager no longer launches.
    I booted from a FireWire disk which doesn't have the iTunes and QuickTime updates, but otherwise is an exact clone and it launched from there.
    Any of you guys hit that problem?

    Well, I just checked. Download Manager launched appropriately for me. I have all the latest updates.
    One thought, what browser are you using? I know Safari got a bump recently. It is possible if you downloaded that at the same time as the iTunes update, if may actually be the problem.
    If my previous suggestion didn't work, try this. When you click on "Download All" in emusic, if the Download Manager doesn't launch, a small file with a numeric name and the file extension .emp should still download. Control-click on the file and make sure that files of that type are set to be opened by Download Manager.
    You might also try consulting the emusic folks.

    My computer died.  (2007 iMac).  The logic board failed.  The internal drive was fine.  It is now an external hard drive and is copied to another external for backup.  I am using the backup (much younger hard drive hardware) as the boot drive on my MacBook Pro.  Problem is...none of my purchased Mac App Store applications launch.  They bounce once.  If I'm lucky, an Apple ID/password dialog pops up telling me the app was purchased on another computer and to enter my credentials to install it on the present computer.  (I learned that the apps have a tie to the GUID, a hardware key, and hence my failed logic board and running now via a surrogate MacBook Pro is tripping up the App Store apps.)  So, I click OK and it twirls a moment and then disappears.  The app doesn't launch still, automatically after the re-verification of authenticity or by me clicking/double-clicking on it again.  Just one bounce in the dock, then nothing.  I tried deleting the app, logging out of the Mac App Store, and back in, and going to the Purchases page and the App still says "Installed" so I can't re-download it from the Store.  I'm stumped!  Anybody else figure this one out, or do we wait for Apple to discover it and release a new Mac App Store with corrected re-verification code?

    ive built an app using the build app feature in Adobe InDesign cc 2014 after my folio was done, and I created the certificates according to the step by step guide, but my test app won't launch on iPad. the icon gets stuck in being grated out and saying installing. After letting it go for 45 minutes, I tried deleting and rebuilding app, but did the same thing. Over an hour has passed and it still won't finish installing. Did I do something wrong? Anyone else experiencing these issues?

    If it's showing up greyed out that means the mobileprovision file you used to make the app doesn't have your device's UDID in it. Make sure the device ID is in the mobileprovision file, and that you're using the correct mobileprovision file, then try again.

  • Angry birds 1.6 update won't launch

    on an ipod touch gen 2 with 32 Mb, the new angry birds 1.60 update downloaded but won't launch.  screen goes black for a few seconds and then back to home.  once, it did go to the 'loading' page but it froze.  i tried a soft reset and a hard reset - neither fixed the problem.  do i need to do a restore, and will i lose all progress?  how to do it so i won't lose all progress - and will it help?  note: a web search suggested that i'm not the only one with this problem with this particular update, though i haven't seen any fixes yet.  thx for any help/tips you have.

    FYI, finally Rovio replied to my bug reports, here is what they say (I haven't tried it yet...not sure how to do the backup to keep progress but will look at that link).
    We have now received some feedback on this issue and are currently investigating it. We apologize for not being able to give an answer or instructions right away, this is something that needs deeper investigation.
    Meanwhile you can try to reinstall the game but remember to back up scores and game progress. At the moment we don't have an own program to do this. However, I would recommend you to take a look at the following link:

    Hi can anyone help, my iPad will not download aps ?
    Just keeps saying unknown error ?

    I have tried signing out and back in again, no joy. I have also reset the iPad as suggested. Desktop and 2netbooks are working fine on the wireless connection. Apps won't download, initially I was able to disconnect from wifi and reconnect and that would solve it but not anymore.
    I am also getting an error message intermittently advising no Internet connection. This is all since the upgrade to 5.1.1 so it has messed with something.
    From a google search looks like I am not alone either.

    That message means that you have to restore the iOS software because something went wrong. Follow the instructions here. I hope that you have a backup.

    Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

    Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
    You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
    Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.
    Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
