My dreamweaver album software no longer sees JPG files

my dreamweaver album software no longer sees JPG files
any one got any answers please?

Sorry, original post done in error, didn't see that you didn't mention what version of DW you are using.  That extension is part of Dreamweaver now.
Have you tried re-installing the extension?

  • Can No Longer Drag JPG files From Finder Directly Into .fla Stage?

For the past six months I have been following a manual process to convert JPG files (exported from InDesign) into SWF files for display advertising assets.
Using pre-built FLA files as templates (configured with clicktags):
Open FLA templates (3 separate files for 3 IAB ad sizes)
Drag JPG from Finder directly into stage of FLA file, aligned to
Publish to output folder for renaming
Today, for no apparent reason, I can no longer drag anything into the stage of any FLA file.  Not just the pre-built templates.  Nothing will drag & drop into an FLA stage.
    What I have tried:
    Restarted Mac
    Reset Flash preferences
What I know I can still do:
Drag files from Finder into the Library, and drag into FLA stage from there
    "File > Import to Stage..."
This works but because of my naming convention it prompts to import them all each time because Flash sees the sequence
This is not another step I am willing to contend with for my manual workflow
Me and my creative team need to process hundreds of assets like this each week, so I'm very anxious to discover why functionality that was working, suddenly stopped.
    Running:
    MacBookPro Retina OS X 10.8.5
    Flash CS6 v. 12.0.2.529

just want to add my annoyance to the pile here. I can't see any logic behind removing the drag and drop function, especially when adding a new folder is now a multi-step process that is far from obvious. to start a new playlist with local folder content you now need to:enter settingsclick into advanced settings (basically all settings now seem to be "advanced"?)manually find and add the foldergo through the adventure of finding the files in your library.
-- because they may or may not be listed under "local files" - you won't know because Ctrl+F is also removed. so you have to remember/know what the album you added is called and search for that. if you have a mixed bag of file names from various albums, you're basically shafted; there's no way to find them all with a single search.then you can add them to playlisteta: but wait! there's more! if you have more than 15 files? you're **bleep** out of luck, because the search will only display the first 15 hits among your local files, and then show you spotify library tracks.I can't help but feel as though spotify is doing everything they can to stop us using spotify to listen to local files, as bugs that make it more or less impossible persist through multiple versions - and now features that seem to me to be basic functionality are being removed?mega minus points from someone who's been using spotify since 2008.

  • My iMac will no longer import .jpg files.  With either iPhoto or image capture

Can someone tell me why iPhoto and Image Capture say that .jpg is no longer a supported format.  I've imported hundreds of photos from my camera before and now I can't.  I noticed this after I had placed the SD card in my Panasonic Viera TV to view the photos.  Is it possible that the TV screwed up the formating on the SD card?  I'm still able to view them on the camera, but unable to import them.

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If the problem does not repeat itself in the test library then your current library is the culprit.
If that's the case try the following: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Renaming NEF file no longer changes JPG file automatically (NOT BATCH RENAMING)

For the last year I have been able to select a file in Bridge under the 'Content' tab and in renaming an individual NEF file, Bridge would automatically change the corresponding JPG for me. Suddenly it no longer works and I have to change each file independently. Batch renaming still works fine, but I don't want to use that every time, as that is a bit conveluded to change one letter/number in the file.
Not sure if it was an update that changed something since the updates are automatic. I'm not finding anything in the 'Preferences' or any other area to change the setting back. How do I get it back to the way it was???

Hi Don, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

  • Upgrade to Yosemite and can no longer place jpg files in Illustrator

I have recently upgraded to Yosemite, wish to hell I hadn't, but now all my Illustrator work that has placed images that are not eps images is destroyed. When I open a file I am asked to repair or replace the images but any that are not in eps format are ignored. How do I fix this? I had real issues with the last upgrade to SnowLeopard as well. Sick and tired of things not working when you upgrade. Why should we have to uninstall and reinstall every time?

I've been on on all the versions and yes, it might ask you to replace, but I'm happily placing JPG images in Illustrator, so I'm not encountering the problem you're having. Are you updating old files or did you move the folder where the images are stored, because that would be the only occasion you would be asked to "repair". I place CMYK and RGB JPG images all the time (with a X over them, so I know they are placed).
    EXAMPLE

  • LR5.7.1 no longer sees NEF files?

Last week,  I upgraded LR to 5.7.1, since then LR will not, I repeat will not import NEF files!  It imported NEF files prior to that upgrade with no problems.  LR says the NEF files are "read only".  Which isn't true because I imported the same NEF files with Aperture onto a (Mac) laptop.  When I saved those NEF files as jpeg using Aperture,  then I was able to import them to LR.  I don't understand why LR is all of a sudden not able to import NEF files.

On your greyed out photos, is there a ! or ? on the top right of any photo?  If so, right click on it and LR will ask if you want to find the missing photo, say yes and it will point to the folder that photo is in.  It wll also bring in other photos close by.
Your Mac may be full, and it doesnt have room to 'work' so you can see the greyed photos in LR but not use them.  It happenned to me a couple years ago so I stored photos onto an external drive, which filled up and I recently had to get a larger one.  My recent issue arose when I upgraded to Yosemite and then LR 5.7.1.  The file sharing permissions were changed in the upgrade.
To set permissions On your Mac, go to finder > file> get info.  The info window comes up and at the bottom is where you will find sharing/permissions.
Unlock the lock,  make changes, there is also a little wheel at the bottom left of the window underneath permissions, apply changes >lock the lock and close the window.
When you get an external storage drive, do the same as aformentioned right after you install it.
Then, On your Mac, Move your LR5 catalog to the new storage.
Then open up LR and point LR to the storage location.  (The new storage device will show up on the left side of the LR window.)
(Scott Kelby wrote in his LR3 manual that if you are taking pictures and storing them on your Mac, you will eventually need to move them to an external storage device especially if you take a lot of photos)

  • Image capture no longer recognizes .jpg files

I have HV40 Canon and mini SD. I've been importing jpeg images for years. Now, all of a sudden, iPhoto (image capture) cannot read those file. This may have something to do with the latest updates which I installed last night. Now, even photos successfully imported just before the update, do not import. I get import error "Import error (-9937)" from Image Capture. One of these updates is screwing up my capture. OS X Yosemite, 10.10.3, MacBook Pro mid 2012. Thanks!

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Connect the camera and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
Also, use a card reader to manually upload the files from the memory card to a folder on the Desktop. Once you have the files safely on the hard drive use the camera to reformat the memory card.  Take some test shots and see if iPhoto will recognize the card.

  • Iphoto on ipad no longer sees my photostream since IOS 7 upgrade

iPhoto on my ipad no longer sees my photostream in the albums page of the iPhoto app since IOS 7 upgrade??
I can see my photostream and shared photostreams in the ordinary Apple photo app on the iPad. Prior to IOS 7, all these photostreams were visible in the iPhoto app's albums page. What has changed? Its' most annoying as I was relying on my photostream in the iPhoto app as my source of photos for my journals.
    Any suggestions please???

I've just had a long chat with Applecare in Colorado. Very helpful they were.
I can confirm that the "new" IOS 7 version of iPhoto app on all IOS devises does not support your my photostream nor any of your pre IOS 7 upgrade shared photostreams.
Any new post IOS 7 upgrade shared photostreams will be visible in the iphoto app. I have tested it and it works fine. But all your pre IOS 7 shared photostreams and existing my photostream remain invisible to post IOS 7 iPhoto app.
This "improvement" to iPhoto on IOS devises is now a lame duck. Why ! I'm now on the lookout for a better photo journalling app for my iPad.

  • I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes it. Does someone know how to fix this?

I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder and can see the original files and even copy them from Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes the HD, and when I try to work with the picture, it doesn't let me because it says that the master is in a volume that's offline. Does someone know how to fix this?

    Just to clarify:
Does Aperture not see the drive at all (that is, does Aperture also not see the drive in the import and export dialogue) or are only the Master Files disconnected?
If Aperture does not recognize the drive at all, check the permission settings of the drive in the "Get Info" panel and make sure you have read/write access, also the "Ignore ownership on this volumn" checkmark, this should be set.
If correcting the permissions does not help, make sure you have a backup, and then use "Disk Utility" to run a check and to repair the volumn, if necessary.
If Aperture can see the drive on import and export, but only does not see the master image files, then try to reconnect your masters.
Create a smart album or use a Search with the rule: "File status: offline", to select all images that need reconnecting to their masters.
Right click on the first image of the selection.
From the Pop-up window select "Locate referenced Files..."
Now the "Reconnect All" button should appear.
    Click it.

  • My old PowerPC G4 no longer sees any wireless networks

My old PowerPC G4 no longer sees any wireless networks. The PowerPC and my new iMac was powered off for a week. When I powered them on, the iMac found the usual wireless networks that are seen around here but the PowerPC did not see ANY! Even though they sit next to each other!! The G4 worked fine before and was connected to the internet.
The G4 has an AirPort card in it and IS enabled. Is the problem with the card (how do I verify?) or did something get turned off on the re-boot?
BTW the AirPort card does shows up in the system info and has firmware version 9.52 but states that "wireless network not available" under the Current Wireless Network.
    How do I fix this?
    Please Help!

As this is an old G4, I presume you have a PCI network card.
I had a similar problem on my son's old G4. After a lot of messing around thinking it was a software problem, I discovered that the antenna was damaged and did not make a good connection to the card. I could get it to work intermittently by pushing it on. The solution was to buy a new card.
So try manipulating the antenna connection at the back of your mac to see if you can get a signal.

  • My iPhone 5S no longer sees my wireless printer via bluetooth

my iPhone 5S no longer sees my wireless printer via bluetooth.  All it does in Settings is continually search for devices.  I've rebooted the phone, as well as the printer.  I even sat next to the printer with no luck.  It did find the printer when I initially set it up.

Did this work for you in the past?
ios does not support bluetooth printers without extra software.
    Helper app -- /print n share
Print directly to the widest range of network or WiFi printers available in any app. Alternatively print via your computer to ALL printers including USB & Bluetooth printers. View read and display large PDF, Office & iWork files. Easily transfer & store files from the Cloud or your computer.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/print-n-share/id301656026?mt=8
You need to buy the right printer.
The iPad uses a print technology called AirPrint. Airprint is a particular communication protocol that flows over WiFi.  So, having a WiiFi printer isn't sufficient. The printer needs to be of an Airprint variety of WiFi.

  • ID no longer sees my iPad via Folio Builder

I've run into an issue where InDesign CS6 no longer sees my iPad via Folio Builder.  It was working perfectly for weeks during my app build.  Was able to conduct unit tests throughout build but for some reason InDesign no longer sees the iPad.  When I connect the iPad to my macbook pro via usb, iTunes detects and recognizes it.  I have all the recent software updates installed.  I even reinstalled Adobe Viewer app.  I make sure Adobe Viewer is running on my iPad and cable is connected.  Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

  • IMac can no longer open .jpg .jpeg & other media files sent from PC?

I can no longer open .jpg photos & media files sent to my iMac from my wife's PC through Outlook email. I get an error message saying the item cannot be opened. All other recipients have no trouble opening these attachments. We have tried numerous fixes suggested by Apple chat sites but to no avail. I suspect an OS update around December 2010 has caused this problem on not just our machine but thousands of other iMac users & Apple is ignoring it. Why isn't Apple addressing this huge issue?

Likely, because there are millions of Mac users, and not everyone is experiencing this issue.   Until it happens to all Mac users with a specific system, it will be very difficult to isolate the cause.
