My Droid Incredible shuts itself off all the time.... when I am on a phone call, when its not being used, just whenever it feels like it. Is there any solution to get my Droid to stop shutting itself off?

Your iPHone is designed by intention to shut off when there is a reason for the softwarer to believe that danger is immenent to the hardware. This can occurr if the software is running applications that have been corrupted due to all types of different scenarios. My best advice to you would be to restore your device back to default manufactures settings and do NOT restore the current backup of the IOS program currently running.
If this corrects the problem with your device intermittently restarting you will then know you have had applications there were corrupted on your device. Once you are convinced there are no issues with the hardware of your device you then are free to begin downloading software apps that were earlier on the device.

The "fix" is to get the phone repaired. There's no magic solution for a broken phone.
Bring your phone ant $149 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop near you. -
Why does my time machine backup turn itself off all the time?
This has happened to me several times that I notice that the icon on the menu bar is grayed out for the backup... I just noticed that again for the 10th time, and that the last backup was on December 30th, but I never turned off time machine. I was wondering if this was a glich in the system? Has anyone else has this problem? Never had it before till last year...

No, I've not seen that posted here before.
A clue may be lurking in your logs. Use the widget in #A1 of Time Machine - Troubleshooting to display the backup messages from your logs. The widget may not go back to Dec 30, so you may have to use the Console app to look at your older logs, per the pink box there.
Either way, see if you can find the Dec 30 backup. If it says it completed successfully, look for the next attempt -- if so, copy and post all the messages here.
If not, keep an eye on it, and the next time it happens, the widget should show something that will help pin it down. -
Iphone 6 shutting off all the time
I've had an original iphone and an iphone 4 that the genius bar helpers were always very easy to work with and always gave me the right of hand when i needed a replacement.
This iphone 6 has been a nightmare, I've had it for less then one month and even after it being restored it kept SHUTTING OFF all the time!!!! I explained this to the rep.
However as a misfortune, the day I had scheduled my appointment the phone fell from my computer desk and shattered
Even with the 22 reported crashes I was still forced to pay $83 dollars to get a replacement refurbished phone!!!!
I have apple care, att insurance, and none of that crap covered the phone that was obviously defective due to its cosmetics.
this was absurd and I am very upset with apple and especially with the way the genius bar is now, inconsiderate with the public, not only do i get a piece of crap refurbish phone, this one is STILL SHUTTING OFF ALL THE TIME.
Anyone else having their iphone 6 shutting off constantly???Update it to 8.1 and see if that helps. Otherwise Restore it as a new iPhone, not from your backup, and see if that helps. If it does you have an app that is misbehaving. You could also have a nanoSIM that needs to be replaced.

Imac shuts down, randomly, all the time
So my imac shuts down randomly all the time, after it turns itself off, u need to unplug it for ages, then it will restart (way longer than it should to reset smc). Even in target mode,
Even stranger is it logs a console message stating, system must shutdown now, shutting down....
I thought it must certainly be hardware issue but what? I have checked all temps, reset firmware, etc etc.....
The logic board has been replaced, so it can only be the psu?? any ideas?I've experiencing the same problem.
If there is a power failure (or the power line gets disconect) I have to unplug everything from the back of the computer and wait for hours till I can turn it back on.
Recently it started to turn itself off..... and then I have to wait for several hours till I can get it to work again..... any tips on how to solve this? -
Machine turns itself on all the time
Hi - Ive installed Leopard on 2 of our machines - the iMac, which is (mostly) okay after the transition, and my partner's Mac Mini. The Mini turns itself on every day despite the fact that none of the schedule options are set. It is on the network, although the setting to "wake" for admin is not set. (Im not sure what time it turns on - it's always already on by the time I open the office at 8.30 am). Im now way too put off Leopard to install it on my iBook - apart from the millions of bugs and glitches Leopard has, making my iBook Tiger my only stable machine, I really cant afford to have a charged laptop turning itself on all the time!
Any ideas?

RodYou might try resetting the PRAM and power management unit of the computer. To reset the PRAM, hold down opt-cmd-P-R on boot until the thing chimes twice, then release the keys and let it boot normally. As for the effect ctrl-H has you schould be able to change that under Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts. -
Hi people. I have an iPad. Since I updated to 4 all my apps keep turning themselves off, all the time, ncluding Safari. I now have 5.1. I have done everything on the forums: reinstalled everything, deleted running apps, turned off running apps, turned off properly... I now give up and want to throw the blasted thing away. Any input? Thanks.
Did this start happening recently? I have seen this too and no idea why it is happening. I find I am typing away and it just closes, I have to open it up again. I found this first with Angry Birds, but have also experienced it with Facebook and Safari. I have iOS 5.01 so not sure if it is related to this or another iPad issue.
I wasn't sure if it was because of the screen or some other touch issue.

Is there any way to go back to prvious version of software befoe 1.1 on ipod nano 6th generation. After update it switches off all the time after about 10 secs and I preferred it when I could listen to songs when in sleep mode without using too much battery power

That was the problem. They were there, just not properly linked. I used the one I completed in CS6 trial version (after preflight). When I exported that one and opened it in CS5 all was good. I think I will make the upgrade as soon as I can afford it, but at least now I can make the system work for my needs. Thank you for your help! -

Tomcat switches off all the time
I tried to install tomcat 5.5.12 on my windows xp computer. Unfortunately tomcat switches off all the time!!! I can not run tomcat automatically.
What might be the problem? Are there maybe wrong windows settings?I think you need to look at tomcat websites and forums.

I just took in my macbook to the apple store to clean the fan because it was starting make a little noise but instead of making it stop it sounds like an airplane about to take off all the time, it doesn't matter what i'm doing. I dont know what to do now? any ideas on how to make it stop?
take it back asap. If it wasn't doing it before they cleaned the fans, they may have accidentally done something that is causing this behavior.

carri-bondHi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked. Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.

I'm on my third Droid in a little over a year (first two had the touchscreen stop working after 6 months). My current phone is a refurbished Droid 2 that was a warranty replacement of the last Droid I had. I've noticed that the Droid 2 will just suddenly and randomly shut itself off and restart. There is no rhyme or reason to it. I just checked an email in the GMAIL app (pre loaded on the phone) and it restarted itself.
This has happened on numerous occasions. It's getting a little tiresome. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Or am I going to have to replace this phone as well?It is not common for the phone to reset. We suggest removing a few applications at a time to verify you did not download a bad application. Then test the phone to see if it helps.
You can also reset the applications:
1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Applications.
4. Select Manage applications.
5. Select the appropriate application.
6. Select Force Close.
Also, you want to make sure your battery contacts are clean.
