My droid razr m will not send or recieve texts

I just switched to a Droid Razr M and it will not let me send or recieve texts UNLESS it is a picture message or a group message. It does not let me send or receive any other texts. I tried to reset all factory settings and it still did not do anything. I can make calls & receive calls, get on the internet, send and receive picture messages, send or receive group messages but not regular texts to just one number it has to either be a picture or in a group text. Its very frustrating because im not sure whats wrong or how to fix it. So if anyone can please help me or have had this problem before, let me know what to do or what you did to fix this problem! Please!

Have you tried shutting down the phone, removing the SIM card for a few minutes, reassemble and reboot the phone?
Otherwise there might be an issue with your text message feature on the Verizon Wireless server side. You will have to call into customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from another line to ask them to reset it for you.

First, have her hold the power button down a few seconds. That works for me. If that doesn''t work, have her hold volume
down button while pressing power. That should do a soft reset (like a battery pull). If that fails then there is a hardware

My iphone 4 will not send and receive text messages at random times. My brother has the same phone, lives in the same home and doesn't have this problem. I can't receive messages without my iphone displaying a message asking for my phone number at random times. It happens intermittently. Does anyone know why this happens? I am referring to regula text messages not imessages. I have turned it off and also updated to the most recent software. thanks

I've been an AT&T customer since they were under different names in the 90s and have never heard/seen that. I would check with them. I'd really like to see that error. To get a screenshot on the phone, press the home button and sleep/wake button together quickly and release. You will see the screen flash slightly and hear the camera shutter noise.

New Droid Razr M will not update from 4.0.4 to 4.1, what to do?

My new Razr M will not download the OTA update to 4.1. It states that the download is available, and after 5 minutes or so has an error and says it will "resume download shortly" where it remains indefinitely. Or it will say "unexpected error" and to try again later. The update says it is 98.12.4.en.US (254.1 mb).
I have tried clearing the cache, multiple power cycles, trying it on wifi and 4G all with no success. Should I do a factory reset on the phone? Is there somewhere I can download this update to external memory? Any information would be greatly appreciated as the download icon in the notification bar is extremely annoying and I feel as if it is mocking me.

I have found the solution, which may work for other phones as well after dealing with the helpful tech support of Motorola. First download the motorola device manager and install that. Turn the wifi, gps, and mobile data off from your device and than connect the phone via USB. Once you do, the program will check for updates and will download the update to your computer and than transfer it to the phone. Hope this will save somebody the headache it caused me!

IPhoto 11 will not send placecard holder text when e-mailing!

When sending photos with template design with a placecard text holder it will delete the text when e-mailing. A message come up saying it will e-mail photos but will not send text!

It's what everyone is complaining about. Your only option is to File > Export, say to the Desktop, and then attach them to an e-mail yourself, say by dragging the photos onto the Mail icon in the Dock.
Perhaps soon someone will write an export plug-in that will do that for you.

Ipod touch 4G Version 6.1.6 will not send or recieve imessage

iPod touch 4G version i OS 6.1.6 8G-3.6 available will not send or receive i message. Has worked fine for years, stopped sending and receiving 4/4/15 WI-Fi is fine all other functions work fine.

Droid Charge hotspot will not send an email with an attachment.

I have a Droid Charge phone. When I use it as a hotspot and send an email from my computer with an attachment the connections times out. It will send an email okay as long as there aren't any attachments associated with it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem? By the way, it downloads emails with attachments just fine! Great phone otherwise.

I tried .pdf, jpeg, bmp, docx, doc, bmp.... nothing will send.
I tried it with my laptop loaded with XP and I tried it with a laptop loaded with Windows 7. Same results - it timed out!
I took my phone to the local Verizon store and they tried MY hotspot with THEIR computer - same problem, would not send! I took it to a Verizon sales booth in Sam's club and they could not send an attachment using their computer and my hotspot either!
I later went back to the Verizon store and the salesman there had an I-phone and she set up a hotspot on her phone. I then sent an attachment using my computer and HER hotspot - no problem, went thru just fine! I sent about 10 more attachments that ranged from 500 KB to 2.6 MB and all went thru without a hitch! I tried my hotspot again and it would not send!
Verizon sent me a replacement phone - same problem. They sent me ANOTHER replacement phone - same problem!
A friend of mine has a HTC phone and an account with Sprint - I tried his hotspot. At the exact same location I tried a pdf file of 2.6 MB with my computer using my Charge hotspot and it would NOT send it. I then used his hotspot and sent the exact same file and it went thru without any problems.
So now what?
Oh, I had Verizon make me a new SIM card but that didn't help. By the way, I think I've talked to about every Verizon tech at their 800 number and I don't think taking the battery out and resetting the phone is going to work - I've done it about 50 times now! (I'm not exaggerating!)
This is a business phone so I'm going to turn the problem over to our person that handles our account with Verizon. I had an AT&T phone before and it didn't have any problems. I don't have the time for this type of headache so I think I'll go back to AT&T since we have an account with them too!
I'm not saying that Verizon is a bad company.... I just don't have time to deal with this! This has been going on for over a month.

Droid razr hd will not charge

so I have had my droid razr hd for over a year(got it July '13) and I got it through a third party....but I'm still on VZW so I thought that I'd check. Firstly, my familuy's cellphones(all smartphones) have been experiencing the issue where texts that were sent are not received until 1-2 days later. It's annoying. My second issue is that my phone has suddenly stopped charging. I'm not sure if I inadvertantly caused that issue or not. I have insurance on my phone through the third party. Just wondering if people have had similar issues......

Being able to send and receive text messages in real time is extremely important and we are sorry to hear you are having some problems with that mckinl24. You have reached the right place for help with getting this issue resolved for you. With the text messages are you using the native text application or a third party application? Does it show the messages were sent real time on your phone but the other person is just getting them later? What is happening when your phone is plugged into the charger? Droid maxx hd will not send text messages

Is anyone else having this problem? Phone started not sending text messages. I have deleted Apps, pics, texts, etc and it starts to work for a bit then does the same thing.

Have you tried clearing system cache on your phone, I'd clear cache's for your Text messages then clear the system cache, make sure to power cycle your phone this can help as well..

HT4623 my phone3 will not send or recieve picture messages. How do I fix that?

I have an Iphone 3 and net10 is my provider. I am unable to send or recieve picture messages or multi-media messages. Net10 told me to contact apple and there were some things in programing that will fix my problem. Is this true?

That's a 3GS phone (pls update your profile)
Net10 is not a supported carrier of the iPhone so there are settings that need to be changed to use MMS/iMessage etc.
You would need to contact them for the proper instructions.

I found the following steps for when you're experiencing issues making or receiving calls. If you haven't already, I would start your troubleshooting here:
Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Check your phone settings:
Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a carrier settings update.
Check for an iOS software update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
Reset the network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try to make or receive calls in another location.
Attempt to isolate to one network band:
If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
Contact the carrier to check the following:
Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
There are no localized service outages.
Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
Restore the phone as new.

My Droid Incredible 2 will not send or receive pictures with texts.

It used to work fine but when received now, it gives option to "download" or "decline" -- download ends in a loop that never works. I also can no longer send texts with pictures attached. Help?!

Help is here! Picture messaging is extremely important to me. There are a few things we can check in order to get your MMS working again. We first want to make sure your other data services are working. Are you able to access the browser from the device?
You can also go to settings>applications>all>go to messaging>clear cache
Also, clear out any threads of old messages and try to send your MMS again.
