LCD went out, and I connected my laptop to an external monitor which works fine so I relaced the monitor, and whn I turn the laptop on, again, the lcd stayed on about 3 minutes, and then it turned off. I restarted the laptop, and again it started up and stayed on, onlythis time just long enough to display the HP sign. Then it went off and will not starat anymore. "
lso, all the time it is on, I cwn hear taking and voices in the background but no picy=ture.
Could it be a capacitor leak? Or the graphic chip is bad?

Here is your notebook's Maintenance and Service Guide. This gives instructions on disassembling the notebook.
If reseating the cable does not resolve the issue you'll likely need to replace the screen. I don't want to lead you on however, it is one of the harder repairs to perform.

Since the iTunes upgrade last week I persistently get the following message when launching iTunes. "You are signed in with a different Apple ID than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions and stations with ------------ "
I only have one Apple ID of which I am aware. I changed the password just before the update, after receiving an email advising access from a device that I did not recognise.
The error message goes on to refer to a Windows XP, desktop system as the previous platform for this synchronisation. Try signing out of iTunes, then back in again. This worked for me and a few others. To sign out, in the iTunes menu bar, click "Store" > "Sign Out".

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I don't think they see any difference between the two tabs as I didn't think there was any seperation and the arrow was the place to clic on the price.
What would it take to get your statment added to the iTune tutorial?
For that matter what would it take to get actual tutorials listed under the heading Tutorials listed at the bottom of most iTunes screens. If you clic on the heading Tutorials at the bottom of iTunes pages it lists ads not tutorials.

1. Should be possible to do that; go to the Utilities menu and select 'reset password' before starting the installer. (while booted from the DVD of course)
2. Standard installation of SL only replaces system components; applications, user data and preference settings should not be affected.
3. But you do have a backup just in case, don't you?

Ok, this is somewhat of a better work around I've found:
Starting in the Australian iTunes store, I go through the process of signing into the UK iTunes store up until the point it asks for my credit card information.
I then click the 'X' in the top left of iTunes to exit the store.
Now when I click on my Apps Updates button it shows me what UK Apps I have that are available to update.
You can't download these as at this point I've changed the store I'm viewing, but haven't officially switched accounts. Not to worry.
I write down the names of the UK Apps to update.
Then, use the 'search store' field in the top right of iTunes to search for one of the Apps.
Once you've found it, click to buy it / download it.
iTunes recognises that the App is already in your account and downloads it again for free….
… now I'm HOPING that that App is now fully within my Australian account… unfortunately only time will tell once there is a new update for it.
I'll let you know.

Yikesyou have helped me before and I thank you for that. Funny how at the last resort I ask a question and then an hour later I fix something that has been broken for five days. I got off on the wrong foot with Lightroom installation and I really stepped in it...a lot had to do with a bad hard drive and all that. I still have remnants of catalogues etc so I am never quite sure where I am. I ran a search and found more than one .lrdata files. Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
