My E 7-00 mass storage not working

i have nokia e 7-00 its giving an error massage disk error. I have tried to format the the mass storage with windows but windows also cant format it. So i want to know does the phone has a memory card inside it or its just a chip on the board? Please help me, i cant even take pictures or use the map.

  • Mass storage not working correctly

    So I've checked and all the setting are correct (or at least the ones I can get to), and I even ran the DOS program to fix it everything happens as described (program runs and resets phone...). I've always been able to see the phone in 'my computer' when it's connected and clicking on it I can see the 'memory card' and open it up too - it just is empty on the computer when it's really not. If I click the properties of the memory card it shows the real amount of free space and 0 used space, even though it's got about 500MB of stuff on it.
    I can add files from the computer and they are copied and I can see them when using the phone, but if I delete them using the phone the computer still shows them as being there. If I try to open a deleted file it searches for a few minutes and then tells me the file cannot be found but it's still displayed as if it were there.
    It's like the phone is hiding everything it does on the card. If I take the card out of the phone and plug it into the computer directly everything is there as it should be. This is really beginning to be a PITA and when I try to search for information all I find is stuff related to the mass storage mode not working at all, not malfunctioning as it is in this case. Any ideas?

    I would recommend copying all the files from the Media Card to your PC, basically a backup of the card files.
    Then reinsert the card in your BlackBerry, and format the card using the format command in Options > Memory or Options > Media Card, whichever is present for you.
    Then on the PC, search ALL folders on the card folders and remove ALL "bbthumbs.dat' files, delete them. Get them all.
    Now, connect and see if you can copy back your files to the card.

  • N8 Mass storage not showing anymore

    I bought this phone on the 16th of feb but now mass storage is gone not showing anymore not even on PC... i did everything like installing latest software, restore, delete data and restore and hard reset but still not detecing mass storage. really appreciate if anyone could help.

    Sounds as if you have done everything possible and now time for visit to Nokia Care Point unfortunately as sounds like possible hardware issue.

  • Mass Memory Not working In my Nokia 701 !!

    My mass memory is showing that it is in use even when it is not connected to any device or gadget !!
    It all happened when I formatted my Mass Memory via PC in mass storage mode !!
    Format was successful but when I ejected 701 from PC the Default file manager was still showing that the mass memory is in Use . 
    I tried everything from updating my software via Nokia Suite to re-booting my device a multiple times and also removed the battery many times  and also I Hard Reset my device many times  but to No avail .
    Nokia care says that they Don't know what went wrong so they can't help me !!
    What Should I Do now ??

    Thanks for the feedback and welcome to the forum.
    While you may try a hard reset on your device it is likely you will have to visit a Nokia Care Point where the device firmware will have to be reinstalled. Follow the procedure below and if this will not resolve this for you you can find a Nokia Care Point using this link.
    If you have data on the 701 you wish to keep create a backup using Nokia Suite but when asked deselect the option to include settings in the backup. You can start a backup through Tools>Backup in the Nokia Suite menu.
    Now disconnect your 701 from the PC and select the offline profile, press the on/off switch and from the menu which appears select and activate the profile offline.
    Enter the code *#7370# followed by the security code 12345. Please be aware this reset may take a while. Your 701 will restart when finished.
    After the 701 restarts go through the Device First Use sequence to setup the 701 correctly.
    Now connect the 701 to your PC again and let Nokia Suite install the requires files on 701. After this (re)install the latest system update. When you go to the update screen in Nokia Suite your will either be presented by a system update or you can choose to re-install the current (up to date) version again.
    After the update verify if there are any additional updates and install these as well.
    After this you can restore the backup if you made one.

  • Cloud Storage Not working!!

    I have an ix4-300d, Have port forwarding enabled on port 50500, But Personal Cloud Page says Router Not configured for port forwarding, but it is. I even have an address from Lenovo for the device. any thoughts?

    Are you seeing the processing message in the unit's web interface or in storage manager while trying to connect?
    Have you double checked that port 50500 is open for your external ip by using a port checker utility such as yougetsignal.com?  If port 50500 is listed as closed for the internet connection the unit is hosted on personal cloud will not work.   You would need to check that port forwarding is setup to the correct local address and possibly check with your ISP for potential port blocking on their end.

  • MASS TEXTING NOT WORKING!!!! IOS 7

    ?????? APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!

    Its all software that sends mass text. They even said that they are trying to get apple to fix the issue in the next update. This company i am using says it is the ios 7 version. But they also stated that iOS 7 has issues that diasble the mass texing to more then 50 guests, when ios6 sent to at least 700 people on every ios change since ios 5. I just paid $744.00 to buy a new iphone that has ios 6. IF YOU ARE ONE THAT DOES ALOT OF MASS TEXTING LIKE ME AND HALF OF THE PROMOTERS ACROSS AMERICA, DO NOT UPDATE TO IOS 7. IT WILL DISABLE YOUR PHONE, AND APPLE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWNGRADE NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT AFFECTS YOU.

  • Tcode MASS does not work if more than one item in contract

    I need to update the contract zone of a PO. Via tcode ME22N, this zone is disabled, so i cannot fill my contract in the PO using this tcode.
    I tried tcode MASS which works only if the contract has only one item.

    Good to KNow that you are able to do it by Mass
    In Mass for Multiple Line Item to update to Multiple line item PO
    Just go to MASS
    Select the option BUS2012 (Purchase orders)
    and in the select the poline item EKPO
    And enter the PO Number along with the Item Number in the entry screen and execute it .
    But for the Contract also enter the option
    Outline Agreement -- for the contract number
    Principal Agmt Item-- for the contract item number
    Enter the above against the PO and its item number combination it works.
    As suggested earlier please check the Screen layout option also.which would be more easy way,
    Check the PO Screen layout-Field settings. at the Document type level  mainatained in the config.

  • [SOLVED] Persistent storage not working

    Hi,
    I've found this [1] but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I specify either "cow_persistent=" or "cow_label=" or both and any changes I make (such as creating a file in /home/arch/) are not saved after a reboot (obviously specifying the same options again at boot time). Am I missing something or is there something else I can try?

    1. Is there enough space on your device/partition? What's your partition scheme and how exactly are you calling cow_label? I had the best luck just setting filesystem labels and using cow_label.
    2. Are you copying files from /etc/skel to your home directory with the little script from the wiki? I made that mistake and it overwrites any changes in /home because that happens AFTER the persistent data is retrieved.

    In my experience, the USB ports on the back of an Apple monitor can be re-enabled simply by unplugging and plugging back in the device in question. You might also check to see that the USB Monitor hub shows up in System Profiler. My Apple monitor USB ports experienced no changes in moving to 10.4.7.

    Hi. Can someone please help me. Whenever i connect my phone via usb cable, the media transfer mode is not working. Only the mass storage mode works. Im not sure what happened. Please!! It'll be a big help. I need the computer read my device. Suddenly it wasnt able to detect it. The usb cord in using are all good.

    My N73 not connecting with my windows vista after an updated my old software with the nokia software update. i have tried resetting mu phone and unistalling the pc suite and ovi and installing them back but no use... i hav no idea what to do. the mass storage option works fine  but the computer just dont recognosie the phone when in pc suite mode... i am using windows vista home basic.....before the update the applications were working fine .....

    Hi, Nokia N73 is compatible with Nokia Ovi Suite. I would recommend following:
    - uninstall all existing Nokia PC SW (Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Connectivity Cable Drivers, Nokia Ovi Suite, Nokia Software Updater) from your PC
    - Check, that you have enough free disk space and free memory in your PC. Error message shown in your screenshot seems to be related to Windows operating system problem, not having enough free resources to complete the installation of drivers needed for your device
    - Reboot your PC
    - Download Nokia Ovi Suite from our web pages
    - Install Nokia Ovi Suite
    - Start Nokia Ovi Suite and connect your device using USB cable to your PC
    - If that doesn't help, try connecting your device using Bluetooth to your PC

  • PCI USB Card Does NOT Work With Mass Storage Devices

    I have a StarTech PCI card with 6 USB 2.0 ports that I inserted in my 500 MHz (overclocked) B&W Power Mac G3. It works great for any USB device EXCEPT for any hard drive or DVD/CD-RW drive. I checked the system.log file for errors. Nothing shows up in System Profiler or Disk Utility, obviously. Here's what it consistently says:

    I'm running the latest version of Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3. What is wrong? StarTech doesn't have a driver, but nothing should be necessary. Is there a 3rd party USB Mass Storage Device driver that might work better than the Apple generic driver? PLEASE HELP ME! I cannot live with USB 1.1.

Keyspan and Macally are often mentioned as being more "Mac-friendly" than some other lessser-known brands or generic cards. Does the card have a mini-power port to supplement the power requirements? With USB 2.0, each port is on a separate bus, so a card with six ports should have one. To minimize the overall draw on the available power, I prefer to install USB cards with as few ports as are needed.

    Have a look at TS1363: iPod: Appears in Windows but not in iTunes.
    You should keeps copies of everything on your iPod in your iTunes library so that it can be reloaded should the need arise. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for retrieval steps once your device is visible.

    2. My daughter uses this computer so maybe through some key combination or switch or something (unless it just failed), the left mouse button doesn't work. I have to use a USB optical mouse. Any idea what I can look at to restore full functionality to the mouse/touchpad?
    3. At night, I notice that there is a flashing blue light comping from this computer. I think it's when it goes into standby. Any way to stop that flashing?

    If that doesn't work, I don't have any other suggestions for you and I concur with your assumption that it is a hardware problem.
    Blinking light?  Shut the PC down instead of letting it go into sleep mode.
    There are no settings to not have that happen.

    My Z87-G45 died on me last month in warranty so I received a replacement one.
    Unfortunatly I'm experiencing mayor USB issues.
    - In Bios mode, no USB mass storage devices are detected (usb stick/disk). USB keyboard and mouse work fine
    - In Windows no USB device except for the keyboard and mouse are detected.
    - Can't see USB Mass Storage Device driver in the USB controllers list
    Installed all latest drivers + CMOS CLEAR just in case. Results stay the same.
    I assume it's best that I return the motherboard?
