It should be but every issue is determined on a case by case basis. Take it in to whoever handles iPhone warranty in your country.

i am from india I bought ipod touch 5g from USA on april 25,now its earphones are broken, there is a low volume coming out from left earpiece comapred to other and bass is completely gone ,what can i do.did apple have international warranty ?

Yes, thesy should exchange it at not cost.
Have you tried another pair of headphones? Mabe there is a problem with your iPod.
If not work with another set of headohones
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
-Contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider

  • Earphones broken no proof of purchase

    hello,
I lost my proof of purchase but my earphones are broken
    my question is
can i still bring it back to the ISTORE?
i heard people say i can still bring it back and They Will use my serial number to see if i still got warranty?
btw, bought the iPod a month ago.
    thnx!

If you are talking about the earphones that came with the iPod, nter yur SN here:
Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage
If it shows warranty coverage that is all that is needed.  However, Apple still has to determine that the earphones were defective

  • Earphones keep breaking

I keep on breaking my earphones. First, I had to return my iPod Shuffle earphones. Now, my iPhone earphones are in repear (already for three weeks!!) and now my Shuffle earphones are broken again. What am I doing wrong????
After a while (a couple of weeks) the sound gets slightly distorted in one (or both) speakers. Especially low tones distort quite a lot.
Do I have to do something special with them? I just put them in my pocket when not using them, but apparently they are too fragile for that? Do others have the some problems? I know their sound quality is very poor overall, but after a few weeks of usage they completely fail and that's a whole other issue I guess.

If you want an inexpensive but amazing, clear sound for less than $50, get the ones below in the link. I bought these 8 months ago for my Nano. I was recently on vacation with a friend who has the latest iPod with the stock Apple ear buds. I could not get past 1 song that is how dreadful those ear buds are after using the Sony ones below. I bought my iPhone 3 weeks ago and the ear buds that came with such are still in the package. Apple also sells these below but at full price.

  • Lumia handsfree messed up right from beginning

Hello, i've just received a phone from a friend that lives in another country.. A brand new Lumia 620, it has papers, buyed from a danish store and everything sealed..
When it arrive at me I openned, i'm really impressed with it but when i've tried the handsfree i saw that one of the earphones is broken cause it really dosen't get out any sound.
Tried them on the phone at first, then on my mp3 player and pc.. nothing's out.
And it's really a shame, cause i know warranty won't do me any good ( even if it has one, other country, other name plus that i don't know if the handsfree is covered in this) but it's a little dissapointing. Those little things does the difference, you know.
Nokia it's a big brand and things like this just bring you down.. Has anyone had this problem with his phone?
Anyway, i just hope that the phone will work without any problems and that Nokia will verify closely next time they'll ship phones to Denmark.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The headphones are not covered under the device warranty. ANd frankly they're not that great as usually is the case with the included headphones.
If you have a separate hands free set which also does not work on another device how does that have anything to do with the phone itself. It would also be handy to tell what hands free set you refer to and where you are as Denmark is a member of the EU so as long as you are in an EU country your warranty is valid there,

  • HMP-82 Headset with C510 - does this really work?

    Hi all,
my old earphones are broken so i did some research for some good, new headset for my c510. Then i came up for the HMP-82 which shall have a good and loud music quality and which is very attractive for me due to the fact that it has a remote control. i did some research in some blogs und forums and found several people who had the issue, that their c510 first recognise the HPM-82 when they plug it in but just a few seconds after listening to music with it, they complain that the headset icon on the top of display disappears and the mobile phone asks whether the music shall be continued with mobile phone loud speakers.
now im a little bit confused if this headset really works with a c510, especially also because on some websites the c510 is not listed as a supported mobile phone. Can anyone confirm if it is working without problems with a c510 or not and if not, are there other loud and good headsets with a remote control? Otherwise i considered buying a HPM-77 if there is no possibility for a remote control on a c510. The HPM-77 should work on my phone am i right?
Thank you for taking time to read my thread and sorry for my bad English.
    Regards from Germany.

Unfortunately as I do not see this listed as a compatible device I would say that this is likely the cause of the problem. In regards to a suitable headset you may want to take a look at the one below:

  • Headphone jack is broken but works when i forcibly push the earphones in

okay so it seems like the headphone jack on my ipod classic 160gb (which is well out of warranty) is broken as it only works on one channel no matter what headphones i use, but when i push it in forcibly it still works in both ears for a second, but I can't hold it for long. I've tried cleaning any dust out with cotton buds and a can of compressed air but had no luck so far, should I persevere with this method or is there a chance the jack is still broken?
    cheers

The jack is broken. You can buy and fit a new headphone jack/hold switch assembly. Getting the iPod opened up is a little tricky but there are video tutorials to help out. I've done several of these and also battery swap outs.

it could be just a bad contact
Consider setting up a mail-in repair for your iPod http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
Or visit your local Apple Retail Store http://www.apple.com/retail/
In case your iPod is no longer covered by the warranty and you want to find a second repairing company, you can try iPodResQ or ifixit at your own risk

  • Right earphone broken

I bought my iPod touch 5g around July last year at Target and my earphones have been working fine till today. Noise won't come out of the right side and it's not that all the volume is set to the left side in general>accessible. Am I able to get a new pair or get a way to fix them?

The earbuds have a 1year from date of purchase warranty. Contact Apple store or Apple Genius Bar about replacement. (Target will most like do nothing, but you can contact them about the warranty). Cheers.

  • Earphone/headphones when plugged in, only plays one side/is the jack broken and if so, is this an expensive fix?

I have tried 6 sets of headphones and the right side of the music doesn't play. I think that the connector is bad. Is this expensive to fix?

Check the jack recepticle for any debris that might interfere with the connection.
Also, check the Settings app > General > Accessibility > Hearing to see if Mono is tunred on and the mono balance set to one side of the other.
Lastly, try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

  • I have unlock iPhone&my mic broken,Siri nor when people call can hear me unless I have earphones or during the call they have to be speaker . I bought it on Craigslist , so would apple fix it or does anyone know a place I can take it in ?

It also don't have the app for FaceTime ? Why is that

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have been through ALL of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for investigation.
