An iPhone's warranty is only valid in the country where it was originally sold. You have to return it to that country for warranty service.

Trouble-shooting no sound through the right side of Apple earphones with remote...
Hope this story of trouble-shooting this problem helps someone in the future.
For some strange reason, when I listened to a podcast using the Music app through the Apple earphones with remote on my iPhone 4, the right side has no sound. However, when I pull the earphone plug out one notch, I get sound from both sides, but the remote controls no longer work. At that point, I was sure I had a hardware problem, but where it lay-- earphones or iPhone 4, I didn't know.
1. For my first step, I tried the earphones with another iPhone 4, and got the exact same results. That convinced me that it was a problem with the earphones, but then I tried them on our iPad and they worked fine!
2. That ruled out the earphones and got me wondering if both iPhone 4's earphone jacks were flakey or misbehaving. I had read about the old fuzz in the jack problem, so I used an air blower to clean it out, but it made no difference. I still figured that maybe both jacks were stressed in some way, although two of them?
3. Then I read that some people found different apps worked--and even specifically that running Skype could solve things. That didn't work. However, it led me to try various streaming apps (e.g., Portal to the Universe, NPR) and everything was fine-- sound from both sides and remote controls fully functional.
At that point, I was convinced there was something odd going on with the Music app.
4. Finally, it occurred to me to try other podcasts-- and even other episodes of the particular podcast. They all worked fine.
So, it ended up being one particular podcast-- and, while I still do not know why, it means that the earphones, the headphone jack, the iPhones are all in fine shape! Yay!
In any event, the bottom-line is that it's really smart to consider *all* the variables that could be affecting the situation--especially the most obvious ones that you wouldn't even think about it. As it turned out, in my case, I had tested the very same podcast on both iPhones, so no wonder I got the very same results!I think you're right-- however, I always thought that mono recordings played through both ears--always worked that way on my old stereo system!
This podcast does that, too, but only if one pulls the plug out a bit! That's what's confusing to me. Why does it change from both ears to only one ear depending on far the plug is pushed in? (And especially as it behaves opposite what one would expect-- both ears when not plugged in all the way-- only 1 when fully embedded!) -
My Macbook Pro Retina's USB port on the right side not working at all

I received my macbook pro 15inch with retina display a week ago, but not until today had I got the chance to use the USB port on the right side, only to find out that it is not connecting to anything at all. I have tried to use my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 with two different cables, my USB thumb drive, and my Blackberry 9900, none of them are charging nor shown in iTunes/Finder. All of above works on the left and on other windows machines too.
I'm also not able to charge my Blackberry with the usb port on the left side, thought it would pop up a message saying "charging not supported" on the phone.
For you information, I have applied both updates including the one released few days ago. I have also tried to reset the PRAM. Also, I have migrated from my old late 2008 13inch unibody Macbook using Migration Assistant, not sure if this would affect anything.
I'm aware that there have been reports and discussions regarding the USB port not been able to run devices on 3.0 speed, but I wonder if anyone else have the same problem with me, where the port simply not connecting to anything at all?I also have a problem with the USB port on the right side of my Retina MBP. The USB3.0 port on the left side works fine, even with high speed external SSD enclosures, like the OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G which enables me to copy large files at a sustained rate of 160-170MB/sec. Wow USB3.0 and the Mercury SSD is a FAAAAST combination connected to the Retina MBP.
However, like the forum entries about the USB3.0 ports in general on the new Retina MBP, the USB3.0 port on the RIGHT side is plagued with dropping intermittently, disconnecting my external hard drives while copying large files AS WELL AS disconnecting while just sitting there connected to an external hard drive and doing nothing.
Therefore, since I don't feel like returning my Retina MBP and waiting weeks for a replacement, I have chosen to only use the left side USB3.0 port for now.
I have my suspicions about why the right side USB port might be more problematic than the left side one. I found this older post on the internet about how "Not all USB ports are created equal on MacBooks..." that talks about how on older models of MacBooks one of the USB ports shares a USB hub with multiple other devices like the iSight camera etc. therefore making it less tolerant of heavy traffic or something like that. Therefore, I wonder if the right side USB port is sharing a USB internal hub where-as the left side one is more 'dedicated' and therefore in my case able to handle the high speed transfers/traffic I am throwing at it with my external SSDs.
I have also read that USB3.0 in general, on non-Macs, has had trouble for years. For instance, some forum entries on Apple Support Communities and other non-Apple forums has made mention that 'they' are not surprised at the problems encountered on USB3.0 external hard drives connected to the Retina MBP because Windows laptops have had a lot of flakey problems with USB3.0 for 'years'.
Also, I have recently purchased a "Buffalo" external Thunderbolt 1TB drive from OWC and have been doing Clones onto that drive for several weeks. I use SuperDuper to clone >600GB of data on my 768GB Retina MBP several times a week. And, I have (knock on wood) not had any problems with the stability of my externally connected Thunderbolt drive.
So, in my case, I am racking it up to high-speed stresses on the USB3.0 ports at least in part...and perhaps the possibility that the LEFT side USB port on the Retina MBP is more dependable and/or a more dedicated USB port than the right side one.
This doesn't really solve your problem, but it may at least help you feel like you are not alone. -

Screen wont work on the right side.
So, I've had some time with my phone, alot of damage has been done screen-wise (cracks, glass peeling, ect.) , and even some hardware is showing, but it still functioned properly. About thirty minutes ago, I set the phone down, and when I picked it back up, the right side of the screen is not working, and the resolution has been reverted back to what the 3rd gen would have. I can not unlock my phone, due to the fact that part of my passcode resides in the right side of my screen, but when I go to restore my phone through iTunes, it tells me I need to go to the settings on my iphone and turn off "Find My Phone". This would be no problem if I could unlock my phone, but I can't, and now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Please help.
Also, I've already planned on getting a new phone at the beginning of next month, the iPhone 5s to be exact, but I need this phone to last up till the current month ending.This is a digitizer problem. Restore the iPhone with iTunes on computer. After the Restore see if fixed. If still problem and if there is Warranty or AppleCare take to Apple for replacement iPhone 4S. I have been using my trackpad for several months with no issues. This week the bateries died and I had to use a USB mouse temporarely.
After installing the new bateries and connecting the trackpad only a portion on the right side of the trackpad is working (about 1 inch band from top to bottom).

You should be able to figure out what driver you need for your USB3 controller...
Enter your model number on the english support site and then change the country at the bottom.
Don't bother trying the Australian or UK english sites because they don't work either. -
I'm getting audio in voiceover recordings only on the right side in playback. How can I adjust the balance? I'm using an external mic and preamp that work fine (both channels) in Garageband, so it's not my recording setup. Balance is Ok using internal mic but the sound is not as good.
When you share your project, use SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME.
Click Options.
In the Sound settings/Channels, choose MONO.
In the Video settings, choose the codec of your choice (probably h.264) under Compression. -

There's no thumbnails to drag around except one on the left side of the page (the one that's open). The right side of the page lists every tab I have created.
Perhaps your problem is that '''you must save your browsing history''' in order to use app-tabs that would apply to groups as well but I did not test.

I would suggest that if you do not save that stuff in bookmarks, that you will probably have a serious problem soon and lose your tabs, so if you count on them you could lose them. They should stand up to repeated restarts but I would not count of them as app-tabs myself, for one thing it is new, the other is I have to frequently wipe them out and restart, because I actively open new content into them and go back to the beginning of the tab history, and sometimes I can't, and sometimes I lose them by accidentally closing them -- and I must be able to close them in all manners that I close other tabs or I wouldn't be using them.
There are people who keep 200 tabs open through restarting, that is not for me, I try to clear out the tabs frequently.
That is what app-tabs are for as opposed to home pages, but I did have a problem when I tested with 120 since as app-tabs only about 65 can be seen at once even though I did reduce the width of app-tabs to about 2/3 the size that they were.. Problem I had when I restarted was that the window enlarged a bit beyond the screen, and my tab counter disappeared until I reduced the count to about 65. I do not allow tabs to scroll so you probably wouldn't have that problem.
I forgot to test home page with 60 tabs. I do have something set to 75 though have to check that. I tested with 60 pages as home page. Brought firefox down and backup with the 1 app-tab and 60 home pages the app-tab is the same size as the 60 normal tabs from home page.
Never used group-tabs by choice, since they messed me up I stay clear of them, I don't like them or anything large panoramic type of large thumbnails. -
I have a problem with the headset of my ipod nano 4th gen. the right side don't have a sound. It comes in and out. what do I need to do.. I am using the original headset eversince. I tool it to a Apple Mac Cennter and Taked with a Service Center Rep. And he told me that they can't do anything because they don't repair the ipod they didn;t even look at it. They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -
With two or three pages open, I have scroll bars that allow me to see the right side of the other pages, but not on the Firefox page.
Thank you for the reply, Fred, but when I went to my saved screenshot, I realized that the shortcut on my desktop had opened in IE, not Firefox. There is no scroll bar and the directional arrows do not work. My daughter has been playing with my laptop again. When I set up the same conditions with Firefox, there is no scroll bar, but the arrows function properly, so I can read to the right edge of the page. Now to find someone who knows IE11. The drop down view by menu (Song, album, etc) at the right side of the iTunes window is like a ghost. It flashes into view for a millisecond once in awhile but never lets me click on it. Anyone know what this is about and what to do?

Click Hide Song(s), it is what you wanted to do...
Long answer:
iTunes in the Cloud is a feature of your iTunes store account that allows you to redownload or stream your past purchases. When you delete a purchased track that is downloaded to your computer (like the first one shown here) you are asked if you also want to hide the song from iCloud. This would remove it from the computer and also stop it showing up with the iCloud symbol as the other tracks from that album (which are not downloaded) do.
If a track shows with the cloud symbol you can play (stream) it by double-clicking the title, or click the cloud symbol to download a local copy to your library. If you try to delete one of these tracks you get a slightly different message confirming that you want to hide the track. Clicking hide will remove the listing from the library and any other device that shows your past purchases.
Should you want to retrieve any item hidden in this way at a later date use Store > View My Account > iTunes in the Cloud > Hidden Purchases > Manage.
To hide all your previous purchases that are not downloaded to your computer use Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
