My earphones that came with the ipod stopped working, can they be returned?
So I purchased this 7th gen ipod from the apple store, and it was working great for awhile. One day I powered it on to listen to music and I could hardly hear out of them, so I twisted them so see if they were plugged in wrong but they were not. I also had the volume all the way up and could barely hear it. Will apple send me news ones if it is still under warranty?
This maybe because there is a piece of tissue, crumbs... ect in the earphone hole.
Try getting stuff out, if there is nothing there... I got nothing.

Suddenly the apps I downloaded won't work. The screen "blinks" for a second as if the app is loading, and then returns to the home screen. All the apps that came with the iPod seem to be working fine. How to get them all working again?
First try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck, try downloading another free app from the App Store.

Lastly, try to restore the iPod from a previous backup or restoring it to factory settings.

Get a replacement cable. If still under warranty, Apple will replace the cable.

I have a pioneer 50 inch plasma + I purchased new from the company back in 2005. I tried to hook up an Apple Tv to the pioneer receiver that came with the TV. I can not get it to work.
The receiver has two HDMI inputs in the back. However they say they are not for PC's. Furthermore they must be set up by going to the home menu. I tried everything, but I can not get the receiver to talk to the Apple TV. I even tried a connector that uses an HDMI to the Apple TV that has the other side of the cable as 5 RCA cables. I could not get the receiver to see the Apple TV. I have a newer TV in the house, it has no problem talking with the Apple TV. But this older system seems to be handicapped in its ability to talk with the newer Apple TV system.

BobI could not access the Apple TV on the television. If I put the Apple TV directly into by TV, I have an external sound system (entertainment system), therefore I worry that I would by pass the audio.

What do you do if you have bought a used iPad and the apps won't update without the original id and password. Can't delete the apps that come with the iPad and reinstall them so what do I do?
Correct. An app can only be updated under the Apple ID that was used to orginally acquire the app. If that is a problem you can delete the app and download again under the new userid. If you paid for the app you will have to pay again. Your old Apple ID does not go away so there is no reason to not use it to download the apps.
You cannot delete the apps that came with IOS. If you want to "hide" the apps simply put the apps into an application folder by dragging one app onto another. You can do this to all the IOS apps. -
Just updated to IOs 4.3.2 and none of my IPhone apps will run. The apps which came with the original phone do work though. What can I do to fix this problem?

I just purchase an iMac and an HP LaserJet M1217nfw printer. I could not install with the installation disk that was furnished by HP. What Mac operating system are you running on your iMac?
Are you certain they're compatible?
Have you checked with HP to see if there's a newer driver?

In addition, I haven't loaded on any software with my last 3 printers. They just work without them, IMHO.

Unknown thing that came with the ipod
probably a dumb question. I just bought a ipod nano. In the box that contained everything there is a white thing with a rectangle slot in the bottom of a rounded trough. What is it? Any help would ease my feeble mind.
That's the adapter for the Universal Dock. There's a different sized one for each type of iPod, you place it in the well of a Universal Dock and then your iPod fits in. If you have different models of iPod you can use the same dock with either one by fitting the appropriate adapter: Apple Universal Dock

I have an ipod touch 64GB. I have 3,146 songs, 3 videos, 106 photos and 1 app. The capacity of my ipod is 58 GB (I guess the remainder is the OS), It says I have 7.6GB remaining. When I look at my ipod on Itunes on my laptop the bar at the bottom shows a huge amount of storage space is taken up by Apps. I don't have any apps apart from the ones which came with the ipod touch which I cannot erase and wouldnt really want to. I am baffled why it says so much storage has been taken up by Apps! Please help me!!!
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

I lost the CD that came with my ipod and can't connect to new computer
When I put my shuffle in the USB port it says there is an unknown host in the port that windows does not recognized (it says it has "malfunctioned"). I don't have the CD that came with my ipod to reconnect it to this computer. A guy from another forum told me all I needed was itunes but I have itunes. You can buy them from Apple, online or in the store, and from Amazon, and a hundred other places. The Amazon reviews are correct though. As a rule of thumb, the earbuds bundled with any MP3 player are pretty poor, and the most cost-effective upgrade you can make is new earbuds.

so you know how when you hold down the home button then all the apps become shaky with the little white X in the corner of them to delete it? Well i was wondering if there is a way to delete the apps that come with the ipod already loaded onto it and dont show up with and X and only shake. You can go to settings, general, restrictions, and then enable the restrictions. You can then choose what you want visible on your home screen. To bring back what you've restricted, simply go back to settings, disable the restriction, and it'll be regular again.
