My Effect preset only animates for the first 5 seconds....

(After Effects CS5, Mac OSX)
I have a comp that is two minutes long. I dropped a preset effect ("Indigestion", in this case, but others produce the same result as well) onto a solid layer. The effect will animate for the first five seconds only, after that it remains static. There appears to be keyframe markers between the zero and five second mark. Why doesn't it animate for the entire duration of the clip? And, why does it decide to place keyframe markers at these points?

An effect preset simply adds keyframe and expressions to your layer. If you want the effect to last longer adjust the position of the keyframes.

BaconBits is right to ask if the files are protected or not.
DRM files can only be transferred using Windows Media Player, Creative MediaSource or Nano Media Explorer so that the licenses are transferred. Do not try drag'n'drop with Windows Explorer on porotected files. This is explained in the Help file manual on your CD.
Also do not use Audible Manager to transfer music files.

ITunes is jumping for the first few seconds of the track. It doesn't happen to all tracks but most of them. Anyone got any ideas.

Skipping around track change can be associated with certain virus checkers especially NOD32. Try briefly disabling virus checking. If it cures the problem, exclude iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library for checking.

Otherwise there are general performance issues, is your computer short of memory? Are you playing music over a wireless network/ external disk?
ALso you can get funny effects from Cross Fade. Try turning it off in Preferences>>Playback if you are using it.

My purpose for copying to a CD or DVD is so that I can make copies and send to friends and relatives. What is the best way to get these files on a CD/DVD with the right codecs?
The easiest thing to do is to simply tell your friends and relatives to copy the files to their local hard drive before playing them. Your basic problem is that data discs have a limited real time transfer rate. Since you say VLC plays the files fine, I might suspect its player is likely buffering the data while the QT 7 Player is not.
Data discs made for playback directly from the CD or DVD are normally encoded using MPEG-4/AVC (H.264) video with AAC audio. This is a modern codec which has specific settings to re-package the data (i.e., must be encoded using the multipass option and then select the "optimize for CD/DVD" option).

Infopath submit button only works for the first row in a repeating table‏

Hi, I have a InfoPath Email submit button issue I could not figure out. I have a master/detail repeating table in my form, and one of fields is "EmailAddress" which shows customer's email address. I created a submit button and put the "EmailAddress"
field to "TO" object. When I tested it, the submit button only would return the first row of emailaddress from the repeating table, but not the rest of it..
What I want is when I highlighted a customer, and click the submit button, the current customer's email address would show up in "TO" list. I did some research and saw some suggestions about using current() function. So I put current() in the front,
like this:
current()/dfs:dataFields/d:vw_HZLeadLists/@EmailAddress
Still not working..Just return the first record of emailaddress from master repeating table... Does anyone know what's going on here? Thanks a lot!

The get messages function only works for the first account

regardless of which account is listed in any order, the get messages button only gets messages for the first account in the list, thus if you are expecting one into another account you have to highlight that account and click the get messages....

Af:commandButton only works for the first 10 rows returned in the af:table

Using JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0.
I am new to ADF programming. I have attempted to create an ADF page that contains a search and return table in the same page. The search appears to work fine but the return table displays odd behavior. If the search returns more than 10 rows such that it is possible to page forward through the rows returned the command button associated with the return table that allows the user to pick a particular row and navigate to another page does not work. If the user finds what he/she is looking for in the first ten rows then the command button works fine and the user is taken to the next page. The command button is actually defined to have an af:setActionListener to set a value in a backing bean and then command button has an action to invoke a backing bean. Both of these fire just fine if the selection is made from the first 10 rows. However once the user pages forward to another set of rows then neither seem to happen. Any advice on where to figure out what I did wrong?

When I get a component that seems to do nothing under certain circumstances, the first thing I usually check for is Javascript errors. Sometimes errors on page load can keep a component's Javascript from firing properly.
Try reproducing your problem in Firefox (or another browser with a decent Javascript error console; IE doesn't have one, although I think you can get extensions that provide JS debugging). Check the error console:

Do any interesting errors show up in steps 2 or 3?

Pivot Table, "Insert Page Break After Each Item" Setting Only Works for the First Item Change

I have a flattened pivot table generated from Powerpivot and I would like to insert a page break for each change in the row item.
When I use the pivot table Field Settings>Insert Page Break After Each Item, Excel inserts the first page break then returns to normal pagination for the rest of the output.
Is there another setting required to maintain the page breaks after the item change?

L7780 scan bar goes all the way across, but the light is only on for the first 1/2 inch

If one does a scan/copy with the thing open, one can see a bar run from one side to the other, lit in one direction. On my L7780, that light is no longer lit for the entire trip across, resulting in a mostly black scan/copy. What do I do? Repair? Replace?

This seems to be an hardware issue.
You may follow the steps to try resolve the issue.
1) Connect the printer directly to the wall jack (Bypass any surge protectors)
2) Disconnect the power chord from the back of the printer and reconnect it after 30 seconds while you are holding down the power button.

Airplay stutter for the first few seconds

I just bought the new airport express. It is connected to my hifi with a spdif cable. Problem is, when i stream music it stutters the first 3-4seconds(as if it tries to buffer or something). I've streamed music from PC, Ipad, and iphone.. all with the exact same problem. My friend has the old airport express, and it doesnt have any problems at all . It is very annoying!

Hi - I am assuming that your setup is correct because it is working - otherwise it wouldn't be working at all - it is normal to have a slight delay but 3-4 seconds with a stutter is unusual - I consulted with my son who has 5 sets of speakers on his Airplay setup and a lot of experience with it and he didn't have any reason why it is occuring - under these circumsatances, I recommend a factory reset and re-configure from scratch - sorry I couldn't have been more help.
