My elements 10 will not load

Trying to install my new Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 dvd but all that is happening is a box is appearing with what the dvd contains but is then doing nothing else. Please help

Sorry did not give enough info before. I have a Mac Pro (Mac OS X) Version 10.5.8. According to the Adobe Photoshop pack I received I only needed to use Disc 3 of the three that were supplied. I duly inserted this but all that I had on the screen was a box that told me what the disc contained. I did delve into the various bits and found "install" but it actually did nothing. I checked on the adobe web site and it seemed to show a box that appeared for installing that is not evident on my computer. I must add that I am not particularly a computer expert but I did use the same Apple equipment at Sky News using FCP (I have edited for about 30 years but have always had IT as back up as I initially started on film) I hope this is of some use as I would really like to get started on this package
Many thanks
William

  • Elements will not load

Having huge problems with Elements 11 not loading at start up and takes 20 min. or more and the downloader will not load at all.
Note that the editor will pop up when I use the File Explorer when I click on a photo selection.
Adobe will not offer help on this issue per my discussion with their tech support.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Firefox > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
This can take a minute or two if you have a large cache.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Thumbnails will not load in elements 12 organizer, using windows 8.1

The thumbnails will not load (hourglass icon appears on each photo) on Elements 12 using Windows 8.1.  I have updated the Elements to Core Version 12.1.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm sure that when I close the browser in either OS before switching to the other, the following two conditions are true in the Advanced tab of the Firefox Preferences menu:
    1) "Use autoscrolling" is enabled (with a check mark)
    2) "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup" is disabled (no check mark)
The autoscrolling feature allows you to scroll by holding down the middle mouse button and moving the mouse up and down. The extension you linked to, ScrollyFox, enables scrolling by clicking a button in the Firefox UI, which is quite a different feature. So unfortunately the problems still remain.

  • Photoshop Elements 5.0 will not load

Hi, After using PE5.0 for a year with Vista the program will not load now. When opening editor it stops loading when 'searching for plugins'.

    I would go to:
    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Editor
and inside that folder delete the two below files
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 Prefs.psp
    and
    PluginCache.psp
Before doing the above make sure pse 5 isn't running and hopefully when you start the pse 5 editor things will be okay.

  • Elements 13 Editor will not load.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 Editor will not load

all of a sudden elements 12 editor will not load.  It freezes when it says initializing panels.
    Any suggestions!!

Start the editor from its .exe or application file or from the button in the organizer, while holding ctrl+alt+shift (command+option+shift on a mac).
Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

I own the businesses, so there are no restrictions. Even my personal page has the same problem. I've been working on FB for years with no access problems. Ironically, the problem started the day the FB IPO went public. At first, the "freeze" happened when I tried to view a photo. Now it happens virtually every time I try to do anything: view a friend's page, try to use "chat."
I'm at a loss. I would view it as a blessing, except that too many of my "friends" and family only use FB to communicate. I'm afraid that's how the world is today, and we can't turn back the clock.

  • Premier Elements 4.0 Will not load

I am making a video from granddaughters graduation. Everything was fine last night.  This morning I came in to finish it and my program will not load.
It tries to load and I get to the screen with a purple circle giving the name of the product etc .. then it closes .. and there is nothing.
I need to finish this video.  Please advise.
    Thanks

    A couple of thoughts.
Though XP is an older OS, there are still updates, and hot-fixes, being issued for it. If one has the update set to the default, then these take place behind the scenes, and the user is unaware that the program has been updated. Some of these can render a video, or audio driver obsolete. I would go to the mfgrs' Web sites for both your video card, and your audio card, download and install the very latest drivers. Do not trust Windows, or any utility, to tell you if you have the latest driver. Go to the source.
While updating, I would also go to Apple and update your QuickTime Player.
In the Splash Screen, that circle, if you look just below the center, there is a quickly moving line of text, telling you what PrE is loading, prior to launch. What is the last line, before the Splash Screen disappears? It might go by very quickly, and a "trick" is to set up a video camera, focused at that circle. Start the camera, when the Splash Screen first appears. When the program crashes, just Rewind the tape, near the end, and play it back, Pausing on the very last frame, to read that line of text. Could be that is the element, that is causing the issue.
Also, have you added any new hardware, or software, and especially any audio programs with VST's, or any VST's?
This ARTICLE gives some tips on how to fix, or at least investigate Premiere crashes, or hangs.
    Good luck,

Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8.1 (assumed 64 bit).
    First..
    1. Have you updated from 13 to the 13.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
    2. Do the problems exist if you disable the antivirus and firewall(s)?
    3. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?
    4. Have you refreshed the Online Services using Premiere Elements Editor Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing?
    5. Have you updated the Adobe Application Manager?
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
6.Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
    7. Lots more we could go through such as deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole
13.0 Folder in which it exists.
But, I think that you have enough things going on here to warrant an uninstall, free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) and then reinstall with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

If the problems persist after all that then we will adjust to additional troubleshooting maneuvers.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • PE 9 will not load after installing Elements 10

Installed Elements 10 on Vista 64-bit.  Did not uninstall Elements 9.  Now PE 9 will not load; get window Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - No Disk.  There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Harddisk2\DR2.  Tried disk 2 of 3 from package, nothing happens.

Tried twice, PE9 still locked up both times - I think the intent is to have me try PE10, because that did work!!!

  • ELEMENTS 12 WILL NOT LOAD

Elements 12 will not load. I get a windows dialog box that tells me a problem caused it not to load and they are searching for a solution that never eventuates. Is it possible to delete the programme and reload from adobe or is there another solution?

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
    C: >> Program Files (x86) >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 12
Within the Photoshop Elements 12 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor (the application not the Adobe shortcut)
Select that file and click Next.
    Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by right-clicking on the new desktop icon, bypassing the welcome screen. Try choosing “Run As Administrator” That often improves stability.

  • Adobe Elements 6 will not load

Several times I have installed, then uninstalled this program for the same reason, namely, it will not load. For a few times after the reinstall, it works okay, then stops. I have gone into "Services" and restarted the "active file monitor" but it doesn't help.
    What do you suggest?

Are you able to launch PSE-Welcome screen?
