i have entourage, set preference in plaintext but when i send an email to an other user this what i get
"> This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not
understand
this format, some or all of this message may not be legible."
plus my words arrived to the other end all wrong -
what i can do?

The message basically states that IE cannot load your stylesheet specified in the XML file.
To fix this issue always use the TestStand tools menu item - "Package XML/HTML Files for Distribution" to 'pack' your XML reports before you try to use it in another computer.

I am not a developer, so pardon me if I misunderstood this question. I thought screens and other repository objects are client independent. That means the change should be evident in all clients without a need to transport.
Is this to do with security by any chance ( though it seems unlikely )? Can the other users see the change in the original client in which the request was made? That should help you determine whether the problem lies with the transport or outside. Also you can check the contents of the transport in SE01 and see if it holds the kind of data that you are expecting it to. I am guessing you have already generated the screen after saving the changes.

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Greetings everyone, I am knew to this, but all of a sudden my Macbook Pro 13" stopped sending iMessages and claims that my iContacts are not registered with iMessage. HELP PLEASE!

O I guess my question was too long. To reiterate, my Macbook stopped sending iMessages and states that my fellow iContacts are not registered with imessages. My phone is dead and I need to get a hold of a couple of people, but can't due to this problem. HELP!

Emails are not readable - strange text

Hi All
suddenly I can't read some of my incoming emails. The body text is in a nonsense script. If the sender has a signature, that is readable. How can I set Mail to read these? Is it RTF? HTML text?

After upgrading to Tiger I've been fighting the same problem: some MSWord docs attached open okay (these are the ones that are ID'ed as MSWord when you hold the pointer over them, but others, ostensibly MSWord documents, too, open up with lots of junk and almost no readable text and these are identified as "Mime-type: application/octet-stream"
So I'm thinking that something is happening with the OS X and/or Mail upgrade that is causing this problem.
In the past this never happend.
BTW a "fix" of sorts is to use a webmail application and download the offending documents from there. Once downloaded they'll open just fine.
I think Apple needs to explain this and give us users a fix.

What exactly do you mean, iCloud uses your Apple ID. Are you saying you have one ID for iCloud and another for iTunes.

F-keys are not working...need help please.

In the process of trying to take a screen shot for a project I was doing, I somehow messed up to F-keys and they no longer work. Some do still function but they do not do what they are suppose to. For example my volume up f12 key brings up my widget desktop. Along with these keys not functioning right, I have a black line around all selected text boxes. Hoping that someone can help me correct this without have to loose any info on my computer and without having to go to geek squad.
p.s. yes I have restarted my computer and re-set keyboard functions.

It sounds like you've turned on some Universal Access features.
(The clue was the black line around selected text boxes.)
If you have volume turned up, you may hear the system voice speaking the text in the black outlined boxes.
You can turn the various Universal Access features on/off in System Preferences, System, Universal Access.
It's also possible to enable/disable various keyboard shortcuts in System Preferences, Hardware, Keyboard & Mouse.

In normal path based site collections/web applications, reverse proxy configuration can be done using alternate access mappings with Public URL = "proxy URL", internal = "HNSC Share Point URL" so that share point sends response back
to Public URL = "proxy URL".
In Host Named Site Collections, alternate access mappings are not supported. Each HNSC is designed to have only one URL in each zone. Zone is one of the five zones(Default,Intranet,Internet,Custom,Extranet) with each of which only one alternate
URL is associated. This is what we are able to get using power shell command "Set-SPSiteUrl", but this will not help us to get the response back to proxy URL after a request sent to share point because we could not find any mechanism in share
point HNSC to respond to a different URL(proxy URL). Consequently, Share Point URLs are exposed to external users.
Below share point article in MSDN blog is symmetrical to what we are observing with Share Point 2013 and Proxy Server. It mentions that internal HNSC URLs can’t be hidden using any proxy server. If hiding the internal Share Point URLS is a requirement,
it suggests to use a web application instead of host named site collections.
Though I’m also observing the same behavior with Share Point 2013 HNSC, Could you please confirm my understanding is correct.

You are right that only one URL is allowed for each zone of the host-name site collections in both SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.
It is by design that each host-name site collection only support one URL for each zone.
The article below is about RTM version of SharePoint, and it is the same for SharePoint 2013 with the latest CU.

So to make the URL of HNSC not exposed to external users is not supported, you need to use path-based sites instead.

Emails are not delete from the handheld/server

Hello,
Our client has Blackberry 8330.
Emails are not deleted nor from the server nor from the phone. Maybe there any other setting set? Or are these settings set wrong?

As discussed in the KB I linked for you, it depends. If, in the top grid, there is a YES in the Wireless Deletion column for the subject email service AND you have further configured, as per the KB you found, for deleted item reconciliation, then yes it should delete from the server when you delete from the HH.
Note that there may be a time lag, however -- deleted item reconciliation tends to be one of the lowest priority activities inside of both BIS as well as the email providers systems...I've seen it take up to 24 hours (not normally, but that's the extreme that I've witnessed).
Further, I believe that the on-HH setting for "Keep Messages" should have no effect on the server...deleted item reconciliation is a function of the end user actually deleting from the HH...not the auto-removal by virtue of this setting.

Emails are not being sent on Document sharing

Hi everyone,
I have a created a documnt library and made it available for users. The issue is that emails are not being sent when a user creates/Uploads a document and share it with other users. Please refer below screenshot.
Further, emails from approval workflows are being sent properly.
Do i have to look into exchange server or sharepoint needs to be configured?
Please suggest a workaround.

Based on your description, my understanding is that emails are not being sent when a user share a document with other users.
I have done a test on my SharePoint 2013, I can’t reproduce the issue.
Did all users not receive the emails? You should check outgoing email for a SharePoint 2013 farm.

IPhoto Titles of Events are not readable

Hi,
i´ve an issue with the interaction of background colour and text colour. In the event view background is dark grey and text is black. Therefore you can hardly read the text under events. When i change background colour only in picture view can changes be noticed. Generally the headlines in black are not readable if you prefer dark grey as background. Any suggestions? Thank´s in advance.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That's strange because my Event view background is black and the text is white. When viewing an open event the background can be adjusted in iPhoto Preferences just the same as the Photos view.
Try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, from your User/Library/Preferences folder and see if that will help.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.
