My email is listed as SPAM

I am relatively new to Macs, and I am trying to send emails from my Mail, but everyone who gets my emails has ***SPAM*** listed in the subject line. They have me in their address book, it even happens when I send a message to myself. Why is this? Help!

Sometimes an ISP will bloc a whole other ISP too, if it's the source of too much SPAM.

Ok, so I did click on a link that someone close and dear to me asked me to check out via an email.
It turned out it was from an old account of hers that she hasn't used in years, but I still recalled it for I used it at one time.
which is why I thought it genuine.

A few months later, last week, I go into my yahoo email account and notice all these mailer daemon emails.
Those notifications of not being able to deliever your mail.
I notice that they were mostly from email accounts from about 20 years ago, that I never deleted ,but knew that they no longer function as these people have changed their address or email provider compleleltly .
Not unlike the account of the original email from the dear friend that started this nightmare....
Then I got a hunch after seeing all these mailer daemons in my inbox to check my sent box.

All me contacts have been sent this really embarrassing buisness opportunity of a lifetime....
The same one a few months ago I clicked on with this computer....
I know I know ...stand me in the corner with the dunce cap on...
they got me.....
so I copy /pasted all me contacts into my imac stickies....pretty clever huh...we don't have a word processor but there is the stickies...
And it does remember what you put in it....winkety wink!!!!
And then deleted all my contacts in the yahoo account...sigh.
This account has so many a connection to my real life i just can't delete it...
soooooo...
What do you think happened....I see this buisness opportunity and apology from various forum members from various forums I attend online.
same thing with me , the forums i was set up to email my posts and recieve contributions.....the forums I attend recieved the bogus spammer....very embarressing...

I did and i think i might know whats happening.
I think the email account is actually on yahoo server and not in my computer.
If thats the case it's a yahoo issue and not apple.
They don't seem to talk about it though and you have to like fish around and guess.
too much money involved i guess.
so like when i clicked on the link it was allowing something to happen on the yahoo server...
when ever you download an attatchment from yahoo mail...it always gets checked first before coming into my computer...
so i never downloaded anything just clicked away on yahoo...
which tells me every email you send on yahoo ...is assessable to yahoo people...

Email to list of addresses from a file

Does anyone know if it is possible to create an Automation that will send the same email to every email address listed in a text file?
I am working on a local community event and have several people registered. Periodically I need to email out a short sentence or two to each person on this list. In the past, I have simply copied the addresses in my file and pasted them into the Bcc line with my own address in the To line. As Spam filters get better, this type of address scheme is often rejected.
It would be better to send a separate email to each person by picking the email address from a file, line at a time, and sending the canned message.
It was not obvious to me how to approach this with Automator.
Perhaps Automater is not the correct choice - maybe I need to use a shell script or Perl and interact directly with sendmail?

If you're using Mail, you can just send everyone the email by putting their address in the BCC header; you should be able to leave the To header blank. Spam filters are almost alway examing the origin and the subject of the email, and some even examine the body.
So, unless one of those fields is questionable according to the spam filters, your mail should pass through uninterrupted, since filters have no way of knowing whether you sent an email via BCC; they see only the address to where a single email is being delivered.
More likely is that one or more of your recipients hasn't marked your email address as "okay" or put it on a whitelist, so it may get put into a junk or spam folder on their system.

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.3 the problems gone.
There is no mention of this being a bug or a fix so im thinking a software glitch was the issue.

Did you create a NEW Apple ID or did you change the email address for your OLD Apple ID? This will affect how you update apps in the future.
Anyway, go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores, log out, then log in with the new ID.

You can just download the free ClamXav and scan your entire drive - but as there are no known viruses for OS X (although there is malware - see Thomas Reed's excellent Mac Malware Guide) it's very unlikely that you have a virus.
The best source against malware is OS X itself and common sense. Don't click on links in suspicious emails and be careful of anything that wants to install something on your computer that is not from a reputable source.

I am trying to add a contact to the email VIP list, however its grayed out. I read about the contact needing an email address so that it can be enabled for adding to the VIP list. After checking the contact info for a few times I am 200% sure that it does have an email address and still doesnt let me add it. please help

The SMTP service cannot run on the Exchange server. You can run it on a SharePoint server, or a stand alone server and share out the drop directory over SMB.

How does everyone manage Email Distribution Lists in E-Business Suite

We have heaps of email distribution lists stored in Oracle Ebusiness Suite, excel, access ..you name it!
I would like to use a standard method for tagging contacts in the CRM Sales and Marketing Online so our employees can run reports to create external mailing lists.
Today we use classification codes to do this. Have also thought about using a descriptive flex field and report on that to create a contact list with name and email addresses.
Anybody have a better idea for how to achieve this in Oracle Marketing/Sales Online?
Ideally, we would like to create a customer facing website so people could subscribe/unsubscribe from email lists and have it fully integrated 'plugged in' to the above solution.

The problem is right there, in the fact that there is a ditribution list but I really don't know what's the problem ...
Have you ever use a distribution list? Any special thing to do with it?

It sounds like your hard disk is not accessible, I would first you need to start your iMac with the system DVD that came with your system, then format the hard drive with disk utility, then install the Mac OS X on to your newly formatted drive.
