I'm trying to sync the contacts on my iPhone 5 with my contacts on my Mac Book Air (merge them), I'm also using Outlook (Microsoft) to manage my email account and my contacts. I used to sync my contacts from my previous iPhone (4S) with my contacts on my Mac and also with contacts on Outlook.
Now that I have iPhone 5 I missed that sync (iPhone-Mac-Outlook), so I figure it out that in iTunes there is this message: "your contacts are being synced with Microsoft Exchange over the air. Your contacts will also sync directly with this computer. This may result in duplicated data showing on your device"
Every contact created on iPhone doesn't sync with my Mac or Outlook.
How should I configure my iphone and my mac to sync properly??

Not surprisingly there have been no answers to this question because the only person who knows how to use iTunes/iCloud/iPhone is too busy.

tl;dr: iPhone works properly with iTunes 11.1 and iPad does not. Can't sync with both iTunes and iCloud to separate, distinct Calendar/Contact/Notes groups.
Explanation:
Ever since iTunes 11 was released (I'm on 11.1 now) I'm unable to sync Contacts, Calendars, and Notes via iTunes because I'm using over the air syncing from iCloud. As late as iTunes 10.7, this was okay, because "On My PC" groups would sync perfectly with iTunes, and iCloud groups would sync perfectly with iCloud.
In fact, this still works, today, but only on my iPhones.
However on the iPad I get the message "Your contacts are being synced with your iPad over the air from iCloud." (Well, yeah, I know that. My iCloud contacts should continue to sync via iCloud. I don't want to turn off this behavior.)
The "workaround" used to be sticking to iTunes 10.7, which had correct behavior for both iPad and iPhone. Of course iOS7 nuked that option.
Is anyone aware of another workaround? (Merging my professional Outlook stuff into my iCloud stuff is not a workaround.)

They do not have the same apple id's. I want to sync notes to my personal computer through icloud - just not my work computer. I will try to delete the account for my work Mac the way you suggest. I just can't figure out how my Mac Pro linked to my personal iPhone. They are separate accounts, separate ids, separate emails, Mac Pro account was set up by the IT guy at work. If you are using Touch ID "Immedeatly" is the only option for requiring a passcode.

Delete opm.db from the location given below(Please close the CC Desktop App before these steps).
For Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db. Launch CCD and try to sign in.
Enable hidden user Library: Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later.
For Windows:
[System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

A little bit of an explanation: Mac OS X 10.6 requires a Mac with an Intel processor. Mac OS X 10.5 is the last version of the operating system which runs on PowerPC processors (the type of processor in all iBooks). Mac portables with the newer (and Mac OS X 10.6-capable) Intel processors include the MacBook and MacBook Pro.
Not all iBooks are able to run Mac OS X 10.5, either.

My messages use my email and not my phone number on my mac. How do I change this?

I use the messages app on my computer quite frequently and whenever I send out a message to a friend's phone, they receive it as my email and not my phone number. I know there is a way to change this because my friend does it all the time on her computer but we see it as her number. Please someone help me fix this. Thank you.

Great question. This can be accomplished if you have an iPhone that is registered with the same Apple ID in iMessage.

My email add on app store is locked i can only input the password. how do i change this?

I was wondering if any of you guys can help me with my problem. I have two accounts, both have different apps on them. i always make sure that i'm logged out of app store before i update, but everytime i try press the update button on the app the old email still pops up. it's like the email address is locked in. i tried syncing my ipod while i'm logged out of the store but still to no avail. the old email still pops up.

Tap the Apple ID and sign out, then sign back in with the correct ID. Or go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores where you can do the same thing.

We have two iphone in our house. When I plug in my phone, my number shows up but it syns with my daughter's phone. How can I change this so that I can save my stuff and not hers.

We have two iphones in our house and they are both on the same itunes account. When I plug in my phone, my number shows up but it syncs giving me the music and contacts from the other phone. Is it possible to have itunes just see the stuff from my phone when I plug it in. I have had to create a new contacts list and I want to store it in itunes because this phone is a back-up phone. My regular iphone is being repaired. When I get back the phone from repairs, I want to be able to sync it so that itunes sees my contacts and not my daughters stuff. Is this possible?

Firefox puts cursor at the end of a textarea, not at the beginning, how can I change this (serious usability nightmare when working with a wiki)?

When I edit my DokuWiki a lot of text is displayed in the textarea. Until Firefox 4 the cursor was always at the beginning of the textarea, which made it easy to scroll down to the part I needed to edit. Now the cursor is always at the end. This is a serious usability nightmare for me. How can I change it that the cursor is at the beginning of the textarea text?

thanks for your answer but unfortunately, this isn't it. I can toggle bidirectional text and the whole text is changed so that it aligns on the right side. But the problem I have is that the text is still aligns on the left side, editing is left-to-right, it's just the cursor that's at the end of the text.

I'm trying to export a movie from Final Cut Pro X. But this option is not opening when I click it to export. So I read some foruns and people having the same problem as I'm having now. They solved this problem buy updating the software, so I went to do the same thing, but on the app store app, when I click to update, it gives me a random apple ID and I can not change it to my one.
Has any one experience this problem before?

I see! That's the thing, I'm just afraid to lose the edit that I have at the moment.
As Final Cut Pro X does not give me the option to save it, it saves automatically. I don't really know how to back up. Do you have any particular method?
