My emails are sitting in outbox, message server failed should choose another server but doesn't.?

I opened another email Yahoo- too when i bought iPad, don't use it much because when I sent an emails in the last few days it goes into Outbox and I receive a message STMP server failed but when I go into Settings it does not look for another server as its supposed to do.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Yahoo's servers have been having problems this week. Try again tomorrow.

Oh, and, yes, I have manually verified repeatedly that the information I gave to Lightroom is correct, and I still get the same error message when I try to validate.

I just restored my ipad and now when I connect it, I get a message that says itunes dected an ipad but doesn't recongnise it. it then tells me to unplug the ipad and plug it in again.l I do that and get the same message.

have you tried a different usb port? for the **** of it try restarting the computer as well

When I am writing or replying to emails, some of them are in the outbox, independent if you have attached or not. As I had a 5800, then I could move to the draft, but Nokia Belle I'm only able to delete.

Welcome to Nokia discussions board!
In fact, you cannot move a message from the Outbox folder to any other folders. However, I advise you to copy the text in the message, and paste it on a new message, as well as attach the files if any, and save it as a draft. If you wish to try sending the message again, just tap on that option. But unless you press on send again the message will stay in the outbox and you can use that message as your draft without having to copy and paste it into a new message.

Emails are send. but still some emails are present in OUTBOX

we have a issue in our infrastructure for few users. the emails are send and shows in send items. but still we can see emails in outbox (not all of them). this is utilizing the mailbox space. any idea how this issue arrived and its fix

In case it's caused by a corrupted data file, please run Scanpst.exe to fix the data file to check the result.
Follow the instructions in this kb:

If you are using an .ost file, you can simply rename/remove it, then Outlook will generate a new one next time it starts.
Some corrupted or hidden rules may also cause this problem, you can use MFCMAPI to find and delete these rules to check the result:

After updating my iphone 5 of ios 7, I delete or trash my emails rorm my inbox and they pop back up in my inbox. How do I fix this? They are deleted from the main server but show up in my email on my phone and will not stay deleted.

I recently updated my iphone 5 to IOS 7 and since doing this, i cannot get my email messages to stay deleted when I trash them. They have been deleted from the main mail server but show up on my phone. When I trash them, they disappear for a few seconds and then re-appear in the inbox. I tried deleted my mail account from my phone and re-adding it, but this worked for about 12 hours and now its doing it again. I also have shut my phone off and rebooted it but this did not work. How do I fix this?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question.

IOS 7 - my emails are not updating to the server

Hi all
I got an iPhone 5C with iOS 7.
I have set it up as a new phone, and set up my hotmail account on Mail. I can refresh my emails and new emails will push to my mailbox no problem.
However - when I read or delete one of these, it doesn't seem to update that to the server. So if I log on to Hotmail on my iPad or laptop, the emails are still in the inbox and appear as unread, even when I have sent to Trash, and then emptied the trash on my iPhone 5C!
Also, if I read an email first on the laptop, it still pushes it to my phone as a new unread email!
I have made sure I've emptied the trash by the way!
Any suggestions?

Go to: Settings>Mai.....>the account(s) in question>Advanced>and change the Deleted from server setting to what you want (never?)

The specific emails are not marked as junk, still in my inbox, they are addressed to me, they span about 2 weeks with some as recent as 3 days ago and are all from 3 specific people regarding my sons baseball team. I have tried deleting my account and setting it back up. I've added the email addresses to my contacts to see if that helped. I didn't have this issue when I used the generic pop 3 type of setup. I moved to the Windows Live Hotmail setup so when I delete an email from my iphone it also deletes it from the server. This is all working perfectly. I don't actually log into the server very often and almost missed this email. Thanks!

Check out the article below to troubleshoot issues with sending email from Mail for Mac. Check in Connection Doctor to see if there is anything that could be preventing from sending it out. Also look to see if how big the email is as that could be an issue with the message sending out.

Try these basic troubleshooting steps first
1. Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage (try any webpage). If you can load a webpage, then your device has Internet access. If you are unable to load a webpage, follow these troubleshooting steps.

Does a email that sits in "recovered messages on mac" mean it never sent?

I don't see this email in my sent items, however it was in my recovered messages on mac folder and the date stamp on the email looks like it was sent.

The Recovered Messages mailbox contains messages that were restored from a Time Machine backup. Whether the message was sent or not can be determined from the headers (View > Messages > Show All Headers).

I hace a comcast e-mail account and when I click a "contact us" link on a web site a pop-up asks me to choose an application but when I choose firefox nothing happens How can I make the links open my Comast e-mail?

"Contact us" links on web sites open a box that says "This link needs to be opened with an application. Send to:" My only e-mail account is through my Comcast.net account but Comcast is not an option. When I choose Firefox, which is an option, a new blank window opens but I have no idea how to generate an outgoing e-mail message. This is very frustrating because I cannot seem to find any help with this issue and i seem to be precluded from e-mailing numerous organizations because of this. I do not want to create a new gmail or other type of e-mail account if I can help it. I already have enough accounts and passwords to try and keep a handle on.

Have tried many of the suggestions posted here but still not working or only work for one email at a time when changed under Tools: Account Settings and Options. Thanks for any NEW ideas to try.
