My entire Library has vanished! HELP!

I tried to Create a New Library, b/c I thought I could separate my music I use for different purposes, and when I did, I can't fine the Old Library with ALL MY MUSIC! Can I retrieve it? HELP ME!!!!! please!!!!!!

Shift-click itunes open and open a previous, or existing library. Refer to the .itl files in My Music/Itunes. One of those .itl files is your original library. (unless you deleted it, if so, then it's gone).
If you want to switch from one library to another, just shift-click on itunes to open it and you can choose which to open.

  • HT4901 My entire calendar has vanished!  I have no idea how or how to restore this, I have saved to Icloud in the past.

Please help.  My entire calendar has vanished!  I have no idea how this happened or how to restore it.  I have backed up to Icloud in the past, but it was also gone in my PC.

    Hi,
Which version of Photoshop Elements are you using? I'm going to assume versio 12 for now.
Perhaps, somehow you have been signed out - that would deactivate that copy.
When you load the editor, does it ask you to sign in?
If so, sign in again and then click on the Licence this software button at the bottom. It will then ask you for your serial number. Enter the serial number and hopefully the trial message should stop being displayed.

  • HT1766 Recently updated my iPhone 4s to the iOS 6. Now I can not install application updates, my music library has vanished, iTunes Match (in Settings) keeps setting itself to "Off".

I recently updated my iPhone 4s to the iOS 6. Now I can not install application updates, my music library has vanished, iTunes Match (in Settings) keeps setting itself to "Off". I have also logged off of iTunes in Settings, and it will not let me log back in. Just a few moments ago when I again tried to log into iTunes, it asked me for my Password, then replyed that I had no Match account; but I do. Is Restore the best option?
    Any suggestions

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more.  And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should.  On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much.  I will post a note in the app store to let them know.  I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

PC broke and was rebooted back to factory settings. I downloaded itunes again but my entire itunes music library has disapeared and i have tried all the recommendations from itunes. Any ideas please.

This is one of the many reasons that maintaining a backup is basic.
Just use your backup copy to put everything back.

  • Entire library disappeared! Help!

    hi
I opened up iTunes and played some music this morning. Left the computer on, touched nothing and I ve just come back to find the entire library empty, music, podcasts all empty. (The other user's library on this same computer is still there.)
all ideas and help gratefully received
    thanks
    andy

You mean the mp3 files are still there, but they don't show up in iTunes? This happened to me in v6.x over a year ago.
I never figured out what happened, but now I back up the iTunes files every week (scheduled).

  • All of a sudden my library has dissapeared.Help

Last night I was using Itunes to burn some music to cd's, having no problems at all. This morning when I started my PC and went to Itunes my entire library, some 14,000 songs was gone. The interface I got was as if I had just downloaded a new version, which I had not. Can anyone help please??

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping.  Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to a recent state.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

  • I think I deleted my entire library...help!

I had an entire library from burning CDs and downloading songs from itunes. Then one day I wanted to download but had to upgrade to 6.0. For some unknown reason, my computer wouldn't let me upgrade so I just re-installed it all together. Now I can't access itunes at all. I'm guessing there's no way to get my songs back on my computer, and worse, now if I ever plug in my ipod to my computer all of the songs will be deleted? Is there something I can do?

Click on the File on the iTunes task bar and click on ADD FOLDER TO LIBRARY. iTunes does not hold and save your music, your hard drive does that. iTunes only holds the file paths to reference the songs by.
Oh, and are you havintg trouble DLing iTunes completely? Are you getting any error messages? Please give me more info about what is going on when trying to DL iTunes. Also, what antivirus and firewall programs do you use on your PC? I guess I am kinda confused about what your question is....

  • Upgraded to 6.0 and entire iTunes library has vanished...??  help!

can anyone please help me???  I recently upgradsed to the 6.0 ios and lost ALL of my music not only on my phone but I can not seem to locate it in my iTunes folder either

Look in your Users > [username] > Music > iTunes folder. What's there?
When you say you have "everything" on your iPod, is that "everything" that you are missing? If so, you can use Senuti (http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/) and reverse copy it.
From what I understand the iTMS will not restore lost music.

  • Half of my music library has vanished from iTunes...help!

Ive lost most of my music in my itunes account.  I cannot find it anywhere on my computer and am having trouble accessing the cloud.  Has this happened to anyone and how do I restore?

    Hi Nathan,
You need to make sure the external drive is mounted and accessible before opening iTunes.

  • I  updated iTunes and Safari and my iTunes library has vanished

Help, earlier today I was in Safari and it got hung for so long (10 or more minutes) that I turned to computer off by pressing the power button (I know this was not the best course of action, but I couldn't remember the keystroke command to force quit and I sure couldn't look it up because my browser was not responding). Okay, so when I restarted my computer kindly notified me that software updates were available for Safari, iTunes, and two security items, so I clicked to load them (I've had some annoying reauthorizing when doing this with iTunes before, but never a big problem). So the computer restarts after installing and I go to iTunes and there is no library, no playlists, nothing that was there before. I still have everything on my iPod, but I don't know how to retrieve the lost stuff (and no, I haven't backed it up, I have the ipod and the cd's and presumably the itunes store will restore my purchased files if it comes to that). If anyone has experience with this please guide me out of this tragic debacle. Thank you!

  • While importing and burning some CDs, my entire library has disappeared.  Also, there no longer is a "burn file to disc" command in the File menu.  I have downloaded the latest version of itunes which restored only tracks I bought from the iTunes store.

Also, the "burn playlist to disc" command has disappeared from the File options.  I downloaded the latest version of iTunes but that only restored tracks I'd bought from the iTunes store.  I also tried setting up another logon.

Best to go back and copy the iPhoto Library Folder again. Then download BatchMod from here:
    http://macchampion.com/arbysoft/
You can use it to correct the permissions on the iPhoto Library Folder. Use the Setting found here:

  • My Aperture 3 library has vanished

HELP! This morning I imported photos and videos from my camera into my Aperture 3 library.  Everything imported OK. I closed the app before lunch and when I went back, everthing is gone: new import and alI the rest of my library.  I tried all three steps of the Aperture library First Aid. The steps seem to run OK but my library still isn't showing up.  When I open the "show contents" folder from Finder, the MASTER folder is empty.  I can't beleive I just lost all my photos.... Please help!
PS I am running on a Macbook air with OS X Lion 10.7.3.

    Muriellefromnb,
are you sure you are viewing the right Aperture Library? The name of the library you are viewing is displayed in the upper left corner of the window.
If it is not the correct library, go to the Aperture menu bar, press "File -> Switch to Library" and look at the drop down menu, if you see your correct library and switch to that.
If you are viewing the correct library, then maybe your images are hidden: Look at the search fields in the Browser and the Library Inspector, if any search rules are set; if yes, clear the search fields.
    Regards
    Léonie
