My envy printer won't let me register for efax.
My envy printer series 110 will not let me register for efax. I keep gettting an error message that the printer is not connected to the internet, but it is. I tried the eprint fix, but it did not work.

When I was given the iPod it had a GREAT load of songs already on it. (That was part of the whole "gift" thing.) I want to sync it and create playlists in my own library and copy the songs to my computer's library too. I applied for an Apple ID, and find that this is so old that eventhough it was NEVER registered it is listed under a weird username and won't let me register as the new owner to access the music and sync. What do I do? It is an older version (I'm assuming) with 80G and only 25 have been used. I can't access the music already loaded and don't want to lose the mp3 files I have in my existing library now too.

The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work. Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them. The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps. -
Have done the iOS 5 update and lost half of my apps won't let me get them back and won't let me register my wife's card on my account as I don't use credit or debit cards

Apps are tied to the Apple ID you purchased them on and not the device so getting them all back is easy so long as you know the account details. To reinstall the apps just use the App Store and use the original Apple ID (account) that was used to purchase them, then re-install. If you setup a new Apple ID on your device when you initialized iOS 5 then go into the App Store app and change the account back to the one that was there before. Then go to update > Not on this iPhone and start installing... -
Printer won't let me cancel a job
My printer won't let me cancel a printing job.
Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? Many printers have a cancel "X" button, for others you will need to cancel the job from the spooler.

Wish to purchase CC but system won't let me qualify for reduced monthly price
I wish to subscribe to CC but the system won't let me qualify for the reduced monthly price even though I own CS5.5. I purchased CS5.5 through the Adobe License site and, when I login with my Adobe ID to that site, it shows the purchase and serial number. However, when I enter the serial number while attempting to purchase CC the system says I don't qualify.

Buried deep in the fine print it says "This offer is not available to Education, OEM, or volume licensing customers."

If you look at the first one, you should be able to align quite easily as follows, View>Smart Guides being your friends:
1a) ClickDrag the top flower with the Selection Tool (black arrow) so it is clear of the pointy part;
1b) Click an empty spot on the Artboard to deselect, then ClickDrag the top flower by its bottom Anchor Point (Smart Guides say anchor when you are close enough to grab it) down to snap to the top Anchor Point on the pointy part (Smart Guides say anchor when you are close enough);
1c) Do the same for the boroom flower.
If you look at the third one, to get the triangles and the hexagon sized and aligned precisely, you may, creating them with stroke and no fill:
3a) Click with the Polygon Tool and select a suitable/chosen Radius and 6 Sides, then Object>Transform>Rotate by 30 degrees (or use the Rotate option in the Transform palette), you may Object>Transform>Reset Bounding Box to have it look nicer;
3b) Click with the Polygon Tool and select the same Radius and 3 sides, then deselect and ClickDrag the top Anchor Point to snap to the top Anchor Point of the hexagon;
3c) Object>Transform>Rotate by 180 degrees clicking Copy, deselect, and ClickDrag the bottom Anchor Point to snap to the bottomAnchor Point of the hexagon;
3d) Select all and Ctrl/Cmd+G to Group (for alignment purposes, you will know why if you try without grouping, see below).
To create full symmetry, you may use circles rather than almost circular ellipses; you may:
3d) Click with the Ellipse Tool and select a suitable/chosen Width = height;
3e) Object>Transform>Move a copy vertically by the Height (= Width) twice (or you may Ctrl/Cmd+D to repeat), to get three circles over one another with no gaps;
3f) Select the topmost and bottommost ones and Object>Transform>Rotate a copy by 120 degrees twice, to have all the seven circles precisley touching one another; you may Group them, but it is not necessary.
To have everything aligned, just:
3g) Select everything and click Vertical Align Center and Horizontal Align Center in the Align palette; you may click the pointy group or the circles ojnce more before aligning if you want to keep it in place (that will make it the key object that the other set is aligned to).
These ways may also help you further.

When trying to register for efax, my printer says it cannot connect to the internet. eprint works.
when trying to register for efax on my HP Photosmart 7515, my printer indicates it cannot connect to the internet. The eprint works works great. The wireless network test results indicate connectivity PASS.

wireless is connercted ( as well as usb)Actually, guys, you CAN register for eFax from a Mac, and it works pretty much the same as on Windows.
Once you've installed the printer (if you got around the infinite installer loop issue), open System Preferences (from the Apple menu among other places) and choose "Print & Fax" (I'm using OS X 10.6, but it looks pretty much the same on newer versions):
Then choose your Photosmart 6520 on the left and "Options & Supplies" on the right:
Then select the "Utilty" tab, and click "Open Printer Utility":
Then click on the eFax icon and your Web browser will launch with the free account signup page:
You can then follow the instructions for setting up "Scan to email" and using an efax-type email address, as well as fax from your Mac if you so choose.
So there you go, eFax from your Mac, just seems no one at HP knows you can do it with this printer. Still absolutely baffling why there isn't a ePrint app for it, but whatever.

I can't register for efax on my hp7510.
When I try to register for efax I get the error message to check my web connectivity. I saw on another post that the problem was that eprint was turned off. I checked mine and it was off. I turned it on and again tried to register. I got the same message. When I checked eprint again it was off. Part of the registration process is a button to enabel eprint. I push it and by the end of the registration process the eprint is again turned off. What's up?

Printer won't let me change Color Settings!!!
So I have the Envy 4502, and I CANNOT change my printer settings to print photos in grayscale OR black and white. It won't let me do ANYTHING but color. WHY is this printer so hard to effin' use? My last HP NEVER gave me this kind of trouble. It had an easy-to-use user interface and actually let me CHANGE MY SETTINGS.
What the heck am I doing wrong?!You can update via iTunes and the computer if necessary. Also, what troubleshooting have you tried. A reset is generally something that will fix things like this. It has not affect on your data. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.

Firefox wont let me register for anything.
Everytime I try to register for anything and press enter it just clears everything I typed and stays on that screen. For example I tried to register to ask a question and everytime I tried to register on firefox it just cleared it out and wouldn't do anything. I had to go on explorer (which I hate) It wont let me post stuff on craigslist, bid on ebay, sign into facebook or anything. Someone pllllease help me fix this problem it's driving me CRAZY
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file <i>cookies.sqlite</i> that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> and <b>cookies.txt</b>, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

From what I understand here, whenever you try too download a free application, it's asking for your credit card details, yes?
If that's the case, the reason for this is that an Apple ID requires a credit card linked too it as a form of verification, unless you make an account using the steps here; http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534?locale=en_AU&viewlocale=en_AU
So you have two options; Enter credit details (it will not charge you since it's a free app), or create a new Apple ID -

I am trying to register on my Photosmart printer for efax. Error message: "Registration was unsuccessful. Check that you are connected to the internet, then try again." I have verified that Web Services are enabled and ePrint services are enabled. Wireless netwrk is connected and I can print remotely from my IPAD and laptop. Please help.

I had to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop elements 6 to my Windows 7 computer because the brushes were glitching on me, and now it won't accept my serial number to register it to my computer. I received it from a bundle package when I installed my tablet back in 2008ish. The warning is "A problem was encountered while trying to send information over the Internet". I have retyped it several times to make sure I put the right number without any luck either.
Not for free, no. Well I guess there is. Don't sync your phone. We don't, but then we only use it for talking and taking photos which you can transfer using even a pretty old computer.
