My error -69 mystery - solved!

Like a bunch of us here I started experiencing the mysterious error -69 message immediately after upgrading to itunes 5.0. I have an HP branded ipod.
I have tried every fix suggested here and through HP's very helpful support site.
After trying everything, reloading, erasing, reinstalling, different usb ports and having nothing work, i (finally!)noticed that my sync stopped at exactly the same point - after 80 songs. by the way, it was a song that i imported from a cd and not a purchased track.
So I hooked up my wife's ipod mini - which has worked with itunes where my 40gb didn't - and tried to sync songs...no prob...then i tried to transfer the song that i had pegged as the offending track....and guess what? my wife's ipod mini got the same -69 error message that i got with my 40.
so i tried a different song after this, and had no prob transferring it.
so i deleted the offending track and reconnected my ipod...and the sync finally worked!!! after almost a month, i have my ipod back.
in closing, it appears that in my case error -69 related to a corrupt song that somehow got that way - and stayed that way as a result of upgrading to 5.0, and wasn't "fixed" by any of the itunes updates...
I hope this helps someone out there, as i hope that this is the last time that i have this problem!

I got aroung my error -69 problem by updating my ipod's song list by manually (inserting some songs after the ipod was connected and going to file> update ipod). I only get the error when my library has new songs and I plug in my ipod (and itunes opens and automatically tries to update). I am just curious if you can load your "corrupt" song that way?

Seems like it would be pretty easy to use the debugger, set a breakpoint on the first line, and step through to see where the exception comes from. The only thing that comes to mind: do you have a sequence created in your database called forum_m_id?

after a fresh installation in configured a soap 2 rfc syn scenario ..and i encountered a XIAdapter Exception.
after struggling a lot with all the connections..
i got into the Http connection for
INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI:-- in target host the path
prefix was "/dir/CacheRefresh" i changed it to
"/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext "
Then it started working fine..
CAN ANYONE TELL WHAT WAS THE REASON OF SUCH ERROR AND WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO...

Error Msg Adding Solved Points

I am trying to give someone Solved Points in a question I started.
When I hit the Solved box I get this error: Error
"An error in the system has occurred. Please contact the system administrator if the problem persists."
This has been going on for more than a day. I tried on Safari and Firefox both giving the same error. I sent Apple a note on the issue.
Anything I can do?

There are 3 things you can do:
1. Be patient while you wait for the the adminstrator(s) of the Apple Discussions sort out the problem (it's a known issue)
2. Try to keep track of those posts you'd like to award points to, and award them when the problem is fixed
3. Bask in the appreciation of those who get some gratification from the stars!
Note that #2 and #3 are completely optional...and #1 is also optional as far as the patience part goes (although you don't have much choice about the waiting part).

Pacman error; gvfs related [Solved]

Hi guys, saw that fresh Gnome packages are in the repos (yay!) and did a pacman -Syu but get this error message:
pacman -Syu
resolving dependencies...
error: cannot resolve "gvfs>=1.0.1", a dependency of "nautilus"
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: nautilus: requires gvfs>=1.0.1
Any idea how to solve this? I tried to update the gvfs package but it just reinstalls the old version.

It looks like your mirrors haven't synced up with gvfs-1.0.2 yet. I'd just give them some time or try some other mirrors.

Deskjet D1360 error: Door Open SOLVED

Been using this Deskjet printer for over 3 years. never seen this error: "Door Open." "Cover Open" is a common message when the cover is opened to access the cartridges, but where is the door on a Deskjet 1300 series? Where is the sensor that triggers this message? Nothing will print when this message Door Open appears. Tried turning the printer on and off. Tried rebooting the notebook computer on and off. Tried re-inserting the cartridges and paper. Have not tried re-installing the printer drivers. What to do?
Solved: Door Open is the same as Cover Open in deeper layers of the Printer Software. There is only one cover with a sensor on this printer.
Solved: By reinstalling the printer software, the Door Open error message disappeared and the blockage to printing stopped, allowing normal printing to proceed.

The only thing I can think of is the rear access door? Try the steps in this document:

I do not think so ,when I modificate the channel from "Dev1/ao0:1" to "Dev1/ao0",it works normally ,but I can output only in one AO channel by this way ,rather than in two AO channels.

Error code 11222 solved

I have had a problem signing into my itunes store for quite a while with error 11222 popping up and have been trailing the net for a solution. I am running Windows 8 with AVG Internet Security 2013. And this was precicely the problem. The built in Family Safety feature prevented me from accessing the itunes store.
Here is how I solved the issue.
Go to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123 and download the autorun to your desktop. Once installed, open autoruns.exe and click on the "Winsock Providers" tab. I had 2 entries from Apple for the Bonjour service and the rest was all for AVG Family Safety. I deleted all the AVG entries and that solved the problem.
When restarting the computer at some point the Family Safety resets itself so you would need to repeat the process.
But other than that it works a treat now.

Apple is investigating reports of this issue. Proxies, certificate issues, or your Internet service provider may be the cause of this issue.
To address proxies and some certificate issues:
Windows:
Open Internet Explorer.
From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options.

Under "Dial-up and Virtual Private Networking," choose "Never dial a connection." It may not be possible to choose this if you’ve never used dial-up Internet. If this is the case, skip to the next step.
Click LAN Settings.
In the window that opens, enable the option to "Automatically detect settings" if it is not enabled.
iTunes uses Internet Options proxy settings. Apple recommends removing proxy settings that interfere with access to the iTunes Store if needed.
Click OK.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security section and look for the option to "Check for server certificate revocation." If it is enabled, disable it.
Look for "Use SSL 3.0" and "Use TLS 1.0." Make sure at least one of those two checkboxes is selected and click OK. (You can select both checkboxes).
Apply any changes and then restart your computer if you modified the option to "Check for server certificate revocation" in step 11.
If the issue is with a proxy you are unable to remove, contact the technical staff who support your computer or network, or try another computer or network.

Will the Quicktime installation error ever be solved?

Like many others, when trying to update to Itune 5.01, something happens that fouls up Quicktime and will not allow installation of QT7, standalone or not. It's this 1402 error of course which seems to be the root of all evil.

I cannot erase this registry key, I cannot change the permissions, and yes I am administrator. I have tried every solution offered, nothing works. There seems to be no deffinitive solution for this issue yet, not that I can tell. The only saving grace for me has been a workaround, and I don't like workarounds. Once installed, Itunes works, but whose to say it will work with the next Itunes upgrade, or that there are issues with this workaround that I and others haven't run into yet. I wish Apple would solve this one!!

Well, before I go on, I have to say that I threw my hands up in the air and reinstalled windows. Took me hours...and hours. Just downloading and installing all those windows updates and patches alone ate up a whole evening, thank God for high speed. Anyhow, I'm finally back to normal, all my important programs reinstalled, and if there is a bright side to this, I may have been due as everything runs smoother now. The first program I installed was Itunes 6.0. I said a little prayer first. It's running smoothly so far I have to say (fingers crossed). As for the Norton, I wasn't running it. I was running AVG free version, however I did try shutting it down and every other unnecesssary backround program as well, and that never helped. I also tested other keys to see if I had permissions, and I did, so this might solve the issue for some, but I don't think it would have solved it for me however. I will now be running version 6.0 for as long as I can get away with, unless following versions get s reputation for not having any problems. Thanks for all your effort and concern, I appreciate it.

CUCM 8.6.1 Refresh upgrade to 10.5 fails with Internal Error (Function: ipmReadNormalizedInputLine) [SOLVED]

Hi,
we are upgrading our CUCM 8.6.1 to 10.5.1 on VMWare Enviroment (vSphere 5.5 running on UCS).
We are running this upgrade in a sandbox, in order to avoid any problem in the production cluster.
We followed the refresh upgrade guide ( http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/upgrade/10_0_1/CUCM_BK_U4214F9D_00_upgrade-guide-cucm-100.pdf)
Pre-configuration steps
Take a clone of the running publisher and put it in the sandbox
Remove DNS servers (they are not available in the sandbox)
Change the NTP Server with a ntp that is recheable from the sandbox
Check that Gateway and NTP connectivity are OK for the CUCM
Pre-upgrade:
Run the cop files to update keys and increase disk space (log partition is 80% full)
Shutdown the CUCM VM and
Increase disk space on the VM configuration
change VM OS from RedHat5 (32bit) to RedHat 6 (64bits)
change VM nic from flexible to VMNIX3
Restart the VM
Upgrade
1. mount the iso
2. connect to OS Administration web interface and perform the Software installation from CD/DVD
3. upgrade process works fine up to the post-installation task
During post-installation tasks (after completing the DB Load and Transforming Copy) the Upgrade process always fails fails with an internal error

Issue was related to Dial Plans, the logs showed

Cisco TAC fixed by updating the primary key in the DB.
After the fix we were able to perform the RU as expected.

Windows 8.1 update error 0xc1900101 - 0x40017, Solved?

I got this error 0xc1900101 - 0x40017 when i try to update to windows 8.1.
so i tried updating my drivers, uninstalling, updating, re installing the old version of drivers that came with this laptop and updating and still didn't work.
i thought it might be the some application on this computer that's causing this problem. and i thought avast was causing this problem, because it was not compatible with windows 8 when it came out, and it has kernal driver.
so i uninstalled it and tried to install windows 8.1 update, and guess what? it worked.
but why didn't the windows 8.1 update assistant didn't warn me about this?
didn't it know about this?
the update assistant said my bluetooth is out of date even though i updated it with the link update manager gave.
it just kept saying update it available even thou i installed it and rebooted my computer.

Missing parameter values - mystery solved

I've tracked down why I was getting this error to the refresh method of the ReportDocument object.
The sequence of execution is as follows;
load report
get/set parameter values
set database location
refresh report
export report
The refresh step clears all the parameter values and defaults. I can't believe that this is correct behavour but hey ho, I'll try and work around it by saving all the parameter values to local storage when I open the report and then reset them after the refresh.

No, that is exactly how the refresh is supposed to work actually.
The reportdocument.refresh call removes saved data. That includes any parameters set on the report.
99% of people who call reportdocument.refresh do not have a need to do so to be honest.
If you are using an empty report template (ie a report that does not have saved data) then you should not need to call it at all.
If you want to call it just to make sure, do it before you do anything else, then pass any information you need to the report object.
