My ethernet no longer works now that I configured my new laptop to wireless
I recently connected my new laptop to wireless. Once I did that, my Desktop computer could no longer connect to the internet using ethernet router. This happened immediately after I configured the wireless on my laptop. Please help. Thanks.

When I got the new laptop, I had called SBC to help me set up the wireless on it. The helper reassigned a password for my 2Wire wireless account (an easy to remember 10-digit code). After the helper created that new password, I used it to sign onto wireless internet on my new laptop, and it worked immediately.
A minute later, I went to my iMac and it was completely disconnected from the internet. So in order to get on the internet at all on my iMac, I had to set up the airport on it with the new 10-digit code I had used for my new laptop. But I really want my iMac to have DCHP capability since wireless seems slow and sometimes unreliable.
Oh, and I am not using a router. I am just using a switch. I don't understand how it could be a switch problem, however, if I have an old Powerbook (without any wireless capability) connected to the ethernet via wire through the switch, too (the same switch the iMac is plugged into), and it works great. It's just my iMac that can't do DHCP.

I know it must be frustrating when a website that you normally use is no longer working the way you would expect. The first thing I would suggest looking at your cookies in Settings > Safari. Please reference the attached article for further information. The article goes up to iOS 7 but the settings are in the same place in iOS 8.

My Ichat is no longer working now that I have iMessage
I can not get the ichat to work anymore. I even created a new AIM account just so that I can do a screen share.. What is the deal?
I sent invitations that were not recieved at all and vice versa.. Please help.

Messages in iChat+
The plus bit is that the app can also send iMessages (Apple's Messaging service)
Like most messaging services it is difficult (read as impossible) to get one service to message someone using a different service.
Screen Sharing needs your to be using a Buddy list from either AIM or Jabber (iMessages does not have a Buddy List and Yahoo does not do A/V chats)
It is AIM to AIM or Jabber to Jabber to someone using iChat or Messages.
AIM names can included Apple IDs that end @mac.com, @me.com and @iCloud.com (Set up as AIM accounts in your Messages (or as Buddies)
Jabber IDs can be GoogleTalk and Facebook IDs as well as other Jabber server IDs
Can you Video to the Buddy you are trying to Screen Share with ?
This will confirm there is enough Internet Speed between you (Screen Sharing is in fact an Audio Chat+)
The + bit takes more internet speed than a plain Audio Chat.
After that it is about how the ports iChat/Messages needs through your router and how they are opened
iChat/Messages will only do Screen Sharing if you use UPnP or Port Mapping Protocol in Apple Base Stations.

IPad mini now terrible to use, apple support no help because warranty is up. All cause by new ios8 update, wifi issues, many apps no longer work, apps that do work now crash regularly and sometimes take several instances and reboots to even open.
need help uninstalling ios8 and going back to 7 where things worked please.

I have not yet seen any official response to the question: "Is the Apple AV Composite cable fully supported with 30pin connector devices upgraded with iOS7 - specifically ? - eg. iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s"
If it is not currently supported is that then due to a bug / oversight and in that case is it something that will be fixed in the near future?

I want to know if I can use my IPhone 4 as an IPod Touch (without a SIM) when i buy my new IPhone 5. On the apple service site under "Using an iPhone without a wireless service plan" it says:
"1. Insert the SIM card from your new activated Iphone or the one you were previously used to activate the original Iphone
2. Connect the Iphone to Itunes on a computer connected to the Internet
Once Itunes activates the device, you're free to use the Iphone as if it were an IPod Touch
Note: It maybe necessary to repeat this process after updating or restoring the device"
Does this work now that it is running IOS 6.1.3? Is it as simple as it sounds? I want to make sure i can use it on WIFI when i get a new one.
PS I am not sure which Iphone 4 i have, I bought it through Bell Canada July 30th 2010Apple usually doesn't participate here, we're just users. Have you done a search for an app for Weather Emergency Alert in the app store? It certainly doesn't come built-in in the iphone.

I bought an iPhone while overseas, but I'm back living in the states now. It seems that FaceTime and iMessage is not enabled on it. How do I get it to work now that I'm back in the states?
I did buy it from someone in Jordan. So they might have got it from KSA, or UAE, or it even might be the same rules in Jordan. I don't think the imessage works even, every time someone sends me a message from their ipad it says "Not delivered". Maybe I am wrong?

My text notification light no longer works now since the Lollipop upgrade. How do I get it back since i use my phone in silent mode most of the time?
We want you to love your software update pitbullmommy71! When did you update your phone? Have you tried going into phone settings and set up your notifications as you would like them? It can take a few days for your phone to normalize after the update, but this may be a bit much. Some apps may no longer be compatible with the new software so you can try running phone in Safe Mode or do a Hard Reset to see if this improves your phone. I've seen where some have completed a Hard Reset after the update and downloaded all same apps, and phone works flawlessly now. However, if you'd like to try Safe Mode first, (which is where all 3rd party apps are disabled), you can certainly try this for 24 hours to see if improves.

I originally set up my iTunes account on my computer at work, now that I have a home computer and authorized it, i have not been able to sync my apps from my iTouch to my home coumpter, it transferrred my music but nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

My ebook reader no longer works now I have upgraded to Lion. I have reset the PRAM and tried booting in 32-bit mode, all with no joy. Come on Apple, it worked fine with Snow Leopard.
I see a lot of other people are having trouble with ebook readers, cameras, and other USB devices too.....antonfromnelson wrote:

The home button on my iPad is no longer working. To get to a new screen or App I have to turn the iPad off and then restart it.
Try calibrating the home button and see if that works. If it doesn't, you could also try restoring with iTunes. Try this first.
Calibrate the home button
1. Open a stock iOS app, such as Contacts
2. Press & hold the sleep/wake button at the top of your device until the red slider control appears.
3. Immediately release the sleep/wake button and press & hold the home button. Hold until the red slider disappears. -
I had an iPod touch, but it was stolen or lost. Now that I have a new one with a new Apple ID, is there someway I can access and download all my old photos and data from my old Apple ID to my new device? I still remember my old Apple ID and password.

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com

External HDD won't mount to desktop from 1/2 of USB Ports
