My ex's Apple ID plus password request keeps coming up on my iPhone when trying to download Apps, how do I get rid of it please?

Tks heaps for that, had a look at Store and ITunes sections, not overly helpful unless I am missing something.
My issue is that on my computer she would update her iPhone with Software updates via iTunes.
I have gone and deleted her backups that were still sitting on there.
If I want to update my Apps on my iPhone when due her Apple ID and password request will come up as an option to use that account if I knew the password and it's synced from my Computer even though she has been gone 7 months now. Is it a syncing issue or is her Apple ID stored in my iTunes backups somehow and keeps coming back? Do I need to de-authorize her account from my Computer?

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine.

When trying to download Apps ipad keeps asking for password. Correct password given but has no effect.

Try downloading something in the iTunes app on the iPad and see if that gets you out of the password loop that you are stuck in.

When you get these messages are you responding by clicking on the License this Product option or just ignoring it?

Start iTunes on your PC. If your iPhone doesn't appear under devices, connect your iPhone to the PC using the USB cable. Click on the name of your iPhone under devices. Click on the Apps tab at the top of the screen. Scroll down a bit and uncheck the box next to "Automatically sync new apps". Click the Apply button at the bottom of the screen. I have set up my daughters itouch and she has the same apple id as us to be able to download apps. When I try to download apps or update existing ones the apple id comes up with an old email address we haven't used in ages??!!! I have turned the device off completely and tried to reset the apple id with our existing email address which the rest of us are using but nothing is changing even though in settings etc our the correct email is displayed for the apple ID, VVVV confusing!!! HELP!!

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

I used to have a duplicate apple id which I thought was gone but is now blocking me from updating apps, How do I get rid of it since I no longer have a password for it?

I used to have duplicate apple ids and I thought they got merged into one. a few weeks ago the old one showed up in my Apps screen on my new iphone5 and is keeping me from updating all my apps and adding new ones. I can't reset the password for it because it doesn't exist anymore. Resetting my current apple ID has no effect on this old Apple ID and it continues to block my APPs application. Anybody out there have a solution? I have reset my phone more times than I can count to no avail.

App updates will always prompt with the Apple ID used to puchase those apps. You also CANNOT merge Apple IDs. What you can do:
1) Delete those apps purchased w/ your previous Apple ID asking to be updated and purchase/download it with your current Apple ID.
2) Contact Apple support to help you reset the password of your previous Apple ID then rename it with another email address of yours (active and shouldn't be another Apple ID) so you'll be able to do future app updates.
3) Leave those apps not updated and just continue w/ your current Apple ID for your purchases.
