My exported YouTube video stops before final credits

I've tried several times for this to work. I edit my clip in IM8 then "share" to youtube. It's a simple video with an opening title/transition/clip/transition/and finally a closing title. Everytime I upload a video, it stops after the last transition and only if you click and move the player slide with you see the end of the video.
Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here is the clip:

Thanks for any help.

Anyway obviously several other people (before me) had this problem, so first of all I was just confirming yet an other person (myself) was having this problem.
Have you considered exporting your files manually and then uploading them via HTTP?
1) If the problem does not exist using that workflow, then you have found your "fix" and if you can then show that iMovie is creating the FLV files, then it is logical that Apple needs to fix the "upload" problem.
2) If the problem continues to exist, then it is only logical that there is a problem in the manner in which YouTube converts the uploaded file and/or displays the file. Since you contend that Windows users do not have this problem, it would seem most likely that the problem is in YouTube's handling of the file conversions and/or the "auto uploads." Since the software handling such direct uploads and processing is likely to still be in its infancy, it is probably not too surprising that YouTube is experiencing "growing" pains at this stage. In addition, since roughly 80% (?) of the platforms in use are non-Apple systems, it is like that YouTube will not be putting as much effort into fixing problems for a relative minor group of users who are apparently not reporting such problems. They are, more likely concerned with supporting the other 80% of the population and their Windows based file formats with which they likely have more experience. (While you have already done your part in contacting YouTube via E-mail, there are presumably many others who have not done so.)
Second, whether or not it's a YouTube problem, the thread is here and those Mac users having this problem can still help each other, especially in terms of posting back if/when they find/get a solution.
You asked a question which was answered to the best of my ability and offered advice as to who to contact about resolving the issue. I have no control over how you interpret the "tone" of answers or whether or not you act upon the advice given. Since a number of Mac users do not seem to know that the problem was one of online playback or that they could confirm that their files had, in fact, actually been completely uploaded, I felt my response did serve to both enlighten and inform readers. Further, since it is often difficult to assess the level of experience of the posting individual, responses may seem more "basic" than they would when exchanging comments with regular contributors.

  • Why do some YouTube videos stop playing after a short time?

Since sometime in October, 2013, I have noticed that more and more YouTube videos stop playing within a minute of starting. Most that stop do so in 15 or 16 seconds. The playing stops because the download stops. I watch this on a network activity monitor I always have running. Not all videos do this, but the problem is becoming more and more frequent. Some videos which played correctly for me in the recent past are now exhibiting this problem.
Other than installing the latest Firefox updates I have NOT changed the software on my machine. I run Linux by the way. I do not think this is a Linux problem because (1) it was all working before and (2) my son who runs both Mac OS X *and* Windows is also seeing the same problem. We both use Firefox as our browser on all our platforms.
I should also note that I am NOT seeing this problem with any of the other video websites I use, only when I go to YouTube. That leads me to believe that the problem is not in Firefox; if it were it should affect videos from all websites.
Additionally the problem occurs whether or not I log into YouTube.
I have not run Firefox in safe mode because all the extensions I use did not affect the download of Videos before, so I don't expect unchanged extensions to suddenly start causing problems.
So, anyone else see this problem? (There was another note which talked about the same problem but it was disabled.)
Also -- pardon my paranoia, but -- I need to ask: Since YouTube is owned by Google and Google has its own browser it wants you to use, Chrome, is it possible that Google is intentionally causing some YouTube videos to fail if it sees that they are being sent to Firefox?
(That is not so outlandish I think. Microsoft WAS at one point caught mangling web pages going to certain web browsers other than IE. And these days Google wants to dominate the Internet just as badly as Microsoft does, so why not pull dirty tricks too?)
If this keeps happening I am going to have to try Google's Chrome to see if it somehow manages to play YouTube videos correctly while Firefox does not. But I really do NOT want to install Chrome because I trust Google about as much as I trust Microsoft, which is to say Not At All.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
There have been some issues with Flash 11 in the recent past. This could be a manifestation of that issue. Kindly check this response below to see if this helps you in viewing Flash videos.
Also, if you want to check if this is a flash problem and specifically on youtube, you can try the HTML5 version of Youtube. In this, there are no plugins involved, and the browser natively renders the videos. You can signup for the HTML5 trial by visiting http://youtube.com/html5. Please try that and check if the issue goes away.
Also, in this case, Google might not be doing anything sinister - they generally try to be standards compliant too. You can definitely try installing Google Chrome and test this issue, but we definitely would want you to continue to be a Firefox user :)

Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.

    Also, try this one too
Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.
In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:
    * [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems]]
    * [[Flash 11.3 crashes]]

  • My youtube videos stopped working this week.  Nothing else has changed.  I am using the lastest software on my iphone 5s

My Youtube videos stopped working on my iphone 5s.  I have the latest updates on the phone and deleted and reinstalled the Youtube app.  Didn't work.

I had major issues using VPN passthrough with PPTP on the RV180W through a PPPoE internet connection. In the end I gave up - I think there are some PPTP servers that the RV180 just has trouble with.  I had no problems with 3 other routers straight out the box. Unfortunately I lost access to the VPN server before Cisco could fix.
    See thread:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2174283?tstart=0
Its interesting that it used to work and now doesn't - maybe Verizon or the VPN server have had configuration changes?  Or maybe your antivirus has created a different profile for the different router - would be worth temporarily disabling any firewal/antivirus?
It would be good to try a different non-Verizon router if you can get your hands on one to see if Verizon network changes now require special features/settings on the router.

  • Youtube video stops playing after 11 seconds

Mac Pro / Mountain Lion 10.8.2 / Flash 11.4 - YouTube videos stop playing after 11 secs.  Only just started happening last week - around time when I installed latest Lion upgrade but this may be a red herring.  Tried uninstalling Flash and reinstalling with no change.  Checked/emptied cache.

There are several topics with similar symptoms, but I don't think anybody has found an answer yet, as it only occurs on some few systems.
What I would try if I encountered the same problem:
    try disable Hardware Acceleration (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337)
try update the graphics drivers (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765)

  • YouTube videos stopped playing on V 37.0

Running 37.0 Firefox on Windows 7 - 64 bit. All updates updated. Flash is 17,0,0,134 and checks out at Adobe site.
This afternoon YouTube videos stopped playing. In the center of the frame are circling dots. The video appears to have loaded, as I can move the time slider and see frames at the various times, I just does not play, just gives the circling "loading" dots. YouTube runs fine in IE. In Foxfire, if I go to other sites, like news and videos/ads play just fine.
I disabled all add-ons, set Shockwave & Flash to "always activate" and still the YouTube videos will not play. Seem to download, just not play.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Please also consider an add on for a work around to change HTML5 to the default, however this should have been fixed in version 37.0.1 are you still seeing this issue?

Why do YouTube videos stop?  I have restarted, reset, played thru email and played thru app. It plays on my desktop fine.

    Okay... No flash... understand...
So I went ahead and installed YouTube app on my IPhone... but now when I select the youtube video from Facebook I get into youtube and I can see the video I 'm trying to play, but now a message appears over the video "The content owner has not made this video available on mobile. Add to playlist to watch it later on a PC."  At that point I was able to seach & select other videos by the artist (George Strait) off youtube and play them pkay on my Iphone, but not this particular one posted on facebook.  Oh well.. I've spent enough time on this one, I know when I can't get there from here..
Thanks razmee209 for your help, its much appreciated..

  • Youtube videos stop after activating bluetooth headset

Anybody else having youtube videos stop after activating a bluetooth headset?
I've seen a few people mention it, but no consistent resolution. One post said to change the audio frequency under midi config, but the panel only gives an option of 8Kb.

I'd love to see some resolution on this as well. It seems any(?) flash based application or plugin will refuse to play audio and/or video when the default audio output device is a bluetooth headset. I've tested this in several browsers with flash video. Oddly, if the web-based flash video is downloaded, VLC is able to play it with no problems.
My guess is this is a conflict between Adobe's Flash player and the bluetooth drivers in OSX.
The suggestion regarding changing the MIDI frequency to 44Khz is also not an option as this particular headset is limited to 8Khz (one channel)

  • YouTube videos stop and I have to press play time and again. Is there a fix?

When playing a YouTube video... It stops as if the pause was selected. I have to press play time and again to work my way through it. Is there a fix?

This is usually caused by an internet connection that is not fast enough to keep up with the playing of the video. Once the video reaches the end of what has been download, it pauses. You have to tap and then tap play to start it up again. Once it pauses it's best to wait until more video has been uploaded before tapping play again.

  • Youtube Videos Stop Playing

Lately when I go to watch youtube videos the video will play for maybe two seconds before stopping. At first I thought the video was just buffering then I realized that the transparent red line that shows how much the video has loaded was all the way to the end. So I then tried to pause and unpause the video but it still wouldn't play. This is very frustrating. I haven't been able to watch youtube videos on my phone for about a week now. Is anyone else having these problems? Any solutions? Thanks.

I know an update from last week caused a similar problem. But they updated the Youtube app a day after.
Make sure you have the latest Youtube update.

  • All youtube videos stopped playing suddenly today

ALL of them. At once.. Just, few minutes ago I watched one, but then with no explicit or implicit updates they report 'Error happened' in Safari 8 (Yosemite).
Everything is fine in Chrome under the same login.
Computer has been restarted with no success. All Web Sites Data has been cleaned up with no success
    NO Safari extensions are installed.
Is this a result of REMOTE activity affected my Safari? Was it Apple?

I was having the same issues: no YouTube videos. I went a bit deeper and found that videos I had watched before was playing just fine.
Installed the "latest and greatest" flash player. The problem with YouTube continued.
Opened up Firefox and went to a video that was causing the issue (blank video area, comment area always "loading"). It played fine. Stopped the video after the ad and about a minute of the actual video.
Then I quit Firefox and went into Safari and hit that video that was giving me issues. It began playing right where I left off in Firefox. Okay, I know that when I sign into my google account, and go to YouTube, it keeps track of what I watch and allows me to switch platforms/apps and continue to watch the video where I left off.
I had a hunch, I went to another video that was causing me issues and the issue persisted. Went to my home page (top sites) in Safari. Quit Safari. Opened Firefox and went to that video in youTube and sure enough, there was an ad at the beginning of it. Played the ad till I could skip the darn thing and played a minute of the video. Quit Firefox and opened Safari, went to YouTube and in my history, went to that video. It played.
So my takeaway is that there's something askew with the Ads that precede the videos. Safari doesn't "like" them or some such. And since most ads are in flash format, I would hazard a guess that the ads are doing "something" that is stalling Safari.

  • YouTube videos stop playing/loading after 10-15 seconds

Starting about 2 weeks ago, YouTube videos no longer play or fully load for me (and, from scanning both here and in google, it appears for LOTS of people on both Macs and PCs). A video will begin to load and play normally for the first 10 to 15 seconds, then simply stop loading or, more accurately, it appears to repeatedly reload that first little segment (if the little slider is accurate), sometimes getting a few additional seconds, but never much beyond 18 or 20 seconds.
It's happening on pretty much all YouTube videos as well as videos on other web pages (though it's possible they've all been hosted by YouTube anyway).
I do have current versions of Safari and Adobe Flash installed (and have reinstalled them). I've also cleared my cache and cookies. And I have a good DSL connection that doesn't usually have a bandwidth problem. All was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. I've run diagnostics but didn't see anything obvious.
Anyone able to offer a possible solution or, at least, a place to look for one?

I found a solution. It was intended for Lion 10.7.4, but it also worked for 10.6.8. Here it is:
My Flash Player plug-in would not play videos on YouTube (using Safari in Lion). It turned out that my Safari settings needed to be reset after the recent Lion 10.7.4 and Flash upgrades.  I called Apple tech...
This is what we did to fix it:
    1. Open Safari.
    2. Go to top left menu, under "Safari" click on "Reset Safari."
    3. UNCHECK the first two boxes, leave the next three checked, plus UNCHECK the next two, and keep the last three checked.
    4. Hit "Reset"
    5. After the reset finishes, Safari will relaunch and you can test Flash by going to YouTube to see that videos will now play.

  • Youtube video stops mid video

Watching videos on youtube it happens that videos tend to stop somewhere while playing. Going to the end thumbnails, so its not buffering. It will play past the point if reloaded but is very likely to do the same thing again.
Any idea what could be causing this issue?

    If YouTube is slow, stuck
    or weird, and people
    suggest that
    you either change or
    install stuff....DON'T TOUCH
    A THING.
    Please don’t mess with
    java scripts, firewall
    settings, flash
    players, anti-virus utilities,
    activeX controls, popup
    blockers
    or different browsers. And
    definitely avoid any
    software that
    some people on this page
are trying to get you to
    buy.
    None of those things will
    help you, because your
    computer
    and YouTube were
    working perfectly fine at
    one point, right?
The first rule of thumb and
    best option should
    ALWAYS be:
    don't disable, erase,
    uninstall, switch,
    download, alter, add,
    change or install anything.
    That'll only make matters
    worse.
    Every day, YouTube often
    shuts down many of their
    servers
    to update stuff. Please be
    patient if YouTube is slow,
    stuck
    or mangled. Transmissions
    from YouTube to your
    computer
    are actually done in small
    chunks of "Flash" at a
    time. That
    is why sometimes you
    may only get bits and
    pieces of text,
    video, the spinning circle
    and/or a blank screen.
    Your issue
may fix itself within a few
hours or by the next day.
    If your YouTube continues
    to behave slow, stuck or
    strange,
    it's very possible that your
    directories of "temporary
    internet
    files" and memory (often
    times called "cache") are
    full to the
    maximum and just can't
    take anymore, the end
    result being
    that YouTube videos
    either A) start/stop/start/
    stop, B) grind
to a halt, or C) never even
    make it onto your screen.
    "Temporary internet files"
    are tiny bits of webpages
    that get
    permanently put on your
    computer. They will
    remain forever
    and ever, gradually
    plugging up your
    computer (just like hair
    slowly clogs a sink drain)
until you get rid of them,
    or "clear
    your cache" including
    "cookies" and "history".
If you're not sure how to
    clear your "cache", or if
    you would
    like extra 'tips' on making
    YouTube run even better
    (without
    having to buy or install
    anything), click my avatar
    and send
    send me a message --
    ideally with your YouTube
    or regular
    email address. I will guide
    you step-by-step through
    "cache"
    clearing and my 'tips' in
    plain English with full
    explanations.
Note 1: if you have Google
    Web Accelerator (or
    something
similar to it), dump it, burn
    it, trash it, disable it,
    uninstall it;
-- do all that you can to
get as far away from it as
    possible,
    even though this
    contradicts all my advice.
    Not only does it
    conflict with YouTube,
    simply clicking on "Don't
    Accelerate
    This Website" will not help
    you whatsoever.
    Note 2: longer videos only
    require "Flash" and
    "Shockwave"
    in order to play smooth.
    Other than that, avoid all
    the sales
    pitches that some
    Yahooers are shilling,
    because they are
    really disguised
    salespeople and peddlers.
    Their "answers"
    have nothing to do with
    your question, and their
    wares may
    actually worsen your
    problem. Besides, what
    kind of stupid
    answer is:....[my
    paraphrase] "Although
    you can't watch or
    access videos properly, get
    this downloader."
Note 3: an unusual fix that
    once worked for me was
    altering
the URL "www . youtube .
    com" to simply "youtube .
    com",
(or you can even try "ca .
    youtube . com").

  • Problem when exporting movie, video stops after 2 minutes

I set up a Project containing both images and videos. They were all shot using a digital camera (Canon SD400).
When I export the 5 minute movie, around 2 minutes the video freezes, but the music (from an mp3 file) keeps playing. At 2 minutes one of the videos start to play and the video has a little yellow button showing on it in the timeline. None of the other videos have this little yellow button, although I am not convinced that this is the one causing the problem. Here is an image of it:
    http://dombovari.com/stuff/imovie.png
Any ideas why the video playback would stop when I export it? It plays fine in iMovie when I preview the project, but when exporting, the video playback stops.
    Thanks!

I have this very same problem. All 640x480 clips shot with a Canon SD550. iMovie 5 will play back everything fine in iMovie, but once I export the file using H.264 or MPEG-4, the video stops after about 30 seconds (of the 3 and half minutes of the video). The music still plays, but the video has not exported properly (and it shows in the file size).
What WILL work is if you export it to web, but I can't use that. I need it exported at its full quality. (Also will not work, by the way.) But, again, it plays in iMovie just fine. I even tried exporting from the timeline file (with the reference media files) in the iMovie file package—but I get the exact same results.
Quite frustrating considering it works in iMovie just fine. Any other ideas, folks?

  • YouTube videos for a Final Cut Pro X project

I am working on a Final Cut Pro X (10.0.6) project made from YouTube videos (1080p HD). My project settings are:
Video Properties: Format 1080p HD, Resolution 1920x1080, Rate 25p and Render Format Apple ProRes 422. I want to extract it and burn it to a DVD and then play this DVD in standard DVD Players or a video projector. Is this possible or the quallity is going to be poor ?
Also in the Render Format is there a better option so to get a highest quallity video ?
    Thanks in Advance.

The quality is not going to be great, coming from YouTube and then compressing to standard definition video. 422 will be perfectly adequate for the media. Raising it to 4444 or uncompressed isn't going to do anything for your video.
Try making a disk image and see how it looks.
