    Hi there,
    I found that Time Machine in Mavericks will sort it all out for you. You shouldn't need to buy another backup drive, unless you have insufficient space left and can't afford to delete whats on there. It should just work fine.

  • Editing in External Editor Has Changed

    Editing with an external editor in iPhoto has changed. If, when using an external editor like Photoshop. Pixelmator or Acorn, a second copy is immediately created in the Versions folder (formally Modified) of iPhoto and is used for the editing ending up with two copies of the photo, the original and edited.
    If the edit creates layers, like adding text with PS or Pixelmator, the file must be flattened before saving. Otherwise the Save To navigation window appears with the Master/Originals folder as the default location. If saved there the copy that was first created remains just that, a copy of the original and the layered file is lost to iPhoto in the Masters folder. Bottom line, flatten the image before saving if the editor presents a Save to window.
    Click to view full size
    Additional edits by the external editor do not create another copy but are applied to the first edited copy. Therefore, any edit with an external will result in the two copies being displayed in iPhoto side by side.
    Previously, flattening the image and saving as a jpg would have the modified version replace the original as the displayed version. just like when edited by iPhoto. No longer true with iPhoto 11.
    OT

    OK, this whole thing is a bug I believe. Listen to this. I open a photo in CS5 to edit it. iPhoto makes a copy. I finish editing my photo in CS5, then save. The changes take place in iPhoto like you'd expect. Now there are the two photos in iPhoto. The edited and the unedited. Now I select the edited photo and choose "Revert to Original" from iPhoto menu, and iPhoto warns me like always, "are you sure you want to revert?" I click "Revert" and nothing. It doesn't revert to the original photo.
    So if I were to delete the "extra" photo, I've now got no backup of that photo! I think iPhoto is just "showing" us the original backups on accident now. If this is how they intend it to be now, then they sure better warn people before everyone starts deleting their backup copies of their photos. This is crazy.

  • The external model has changed. You must relink or refresh before this function can execute.

    Good day!
    I got the following error (code: -2366) when trying to run a executable built from LabVIEW 2013 on a target Windows machine with only LabVIEW run-time 2103 32-bit installed.
    "External Model in VIname.vi/Control & Simulation Loop/VI <append>The external model has changed. You must relink or refresh before this function can execute.The external model has changed. You must relink or refresh before this function can execute."
    The exe file works fine on the systems with full LabVIEW installed, but not on the ones having only run-time libraries. Dependency walker doesn't help to much.
    Does anyone know what caused the issue? BTW, the VI needs 3rd-party dlls.
    Thanks for your time and all replies are welcomed.
    Regards,
    Yan

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. Actually I have found the problem.
    In my VI, I have Control Design and Simulation Loop, in which I have a VI that call functions from a DLL that I put in LabVIEW resource folder. After building the EXE file from this VI, the DLL file is copied to the data folder.
    But the problem is that when I run the EXE file, I have to make sure the DLL exists not only in the data folder, but also in the LabVIEW resource folder (E:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2013\resource), meaning when I run the EXE file on another machine with only run-time library installed, I have to manually create the whole path, and copy my DLL in.
    I checked the EXE file and found the following folders, copied DLL to everyone of them, not working either...
    National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time
    c:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time
    %ProgramFiles%\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time
    SOFTWARE\National Instruments\LabVIEW
    BTW I am using LabVIEW 2013 patch 2.
    Thanks

  • 0FISCPER text variable "External Characteristic Value Key" has changed

    Hello!
    Could somebody help and tell, why in BI7.0 version (but 3.x RRMX version) the format of the 0FISCPER text variable (also other time characteristics) has changed from 001.2007 (version 3.x) to 0/1  .0700 (version 7.0)?
    I cannot understand the logic of the new Exterternal characteristic calue key. What can I do about it?
    Thanks for your help, gurus!
    BR, Auli Peltola

    I figured out myself the reason for the problem: in the new version the fiscal year variant has to be defined in report so that the 0FISCPER would work.

  • Another user has changed the row with primary key -Table changed externally

    Hello,
    I am facing the error: "Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key[94 ]." during the delete operation.
    User case scenario:
    1. Added new row in the table.
    2. Once new row is added to the the table, another application will update few columns in the newly added row based on some logic.
    3. On the same session I am trying to delete the newly added row and getting above mentioned error.
    I have added a "Button" in the table to partialRefresh the table to check the new values of the changed columns.
    I have checked the forum and found many similar errors and tried the following but nothing helped.
    1. By setting "Auto Refresh = True" for the view object.
    Issue faced-> It worked fine but after few add and remove my db is getting to inconsistent state after which, I am not able to do any add/delete from my page.
    Error: "Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key". I have checked this and I am not getting this error when "Auto Refresh = False" even after multiple add and remove actions.
    2. By Setting "Auto Refresh" the iterator associated with the page.
    Issue -> Did not work at all.
    Looking forward inputs from gurus.
    Thanks
    Abhijeet

    Finally I found one solution to this problem at: [ http://www.avromroyfaderman.com/2008/05/bring-back-the-hobgoblin-dealing-with-rowinconsistentexception/|http://www.avromroyfaderman.com/2008/05/bring-back-the-hobgoblin-dealing-with-rowinconsistentexception/]
    Simply overriding the lock() method in the entity object resolved issue. Kudos to the author.
    Code:
    public void lock() {
    try {
    super.lock();
    } catch (RowInconsistentException e) {
    refresh(REFRESH_WITH_DB_ONLY_IF_UNCHANGED | REFRESH_CONTAINEES);
    super.lock();
    But, Now my refresh button is not working as depend on the "Auto Refresh = True" to update the table.
    Can anyone tell me how can I refresh the VO of my table from the button.
    Thanks
    Abhijeet.
    P.S: I have already added the partial trigger but it is work not working as the data is cached in the VO. Removing the Cached property for the VO is creating other problems.

  • Itunes has changed the way it stores files over the years and now i am having trouble figuring out which files are where so I can back them up

    Hi
    I have backed up itunes by copying my itunes file to an external hard drive. I try to keep my large media files (like TV shows) in a separate folder so that I can keep my hard drive on my macbook from filling up.  Problem is, apple has changed the way Itunes is organized and backs up over the years.  Now I am having a hard time keeping straight what is where.  When I go to support, it has different instructions for the various versions of itunes. I  am using version 10 now but it seems like I can't see all my files within the itunes music or media folder.  I want to get everything in one place so that I can easily back up, regardless of which version of itunes I am running at the time.
    I have selected to let itunes organize my files.  It keeps all the files I have purchased in one place apparently, but items I have imported don't seem to always be there.
    How can I best sort this out?

    I have, but if I don't have that particular external hard drive connected when my time machine backup hard drive is connected, then I don't think it is all backed up together.  It is getting too complicated to get out all this equipment every time I want to buy some music.

  • JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

    Hi,
    I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
    To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
    a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
        BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
         OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
        Object result = operationBinding.execute();
       if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty())
        return null;
    b. Marked 'Refresh on Insert' , 'Refresh on Update', 'Change Indicator' checkboxes for all the attributes in the entities associated with efttBilling View Object.
    c. Tried to Requery View Object. Created a refreshViewObject method in Application Module Impl.java file, exposed this method to the client interface and created a invokeMethod Action binding in home.jspx
    Code in Application Module:
      public void refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View()
        System.out.println("In eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1");
      findViewObject("eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1").executeQuery();
    Code in view scope bean
            DCBindingContainer bindings =
           (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
            OperationBinding operation =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View");
            operation.execute();
    I have searched web, ADF forums and tried methods suggested in there but no sucess.
    Could anyone please provide some insight in this issue. I have been battling with this since quite some time. I can provide you with the log file too.
    Thanks!
    Shai.

    What code does your Commit method have .. can you try using the Commit executable from the AM itself instead ?

    which all attributes you set this property for . it should just be for History columns as such.
    Did you also check if this could be your scenario ?

    "Your session has timed out, try again." is the message I get every time I try to purchase a song. My last purchase was june of this year, and nothing has changed since then.

    I had this problem, but it was because I was clicking on an external link. Try instead going straight into iTunes, then going to the Podcast section. At the bottom of the "Podcast Quick Links" section, there's a text, "Submit a Podcast." Click on this instead. Once I did, I got to the same page as before, but it did process the feed.
    Good luck!

    Note that your system uses syslog. All of kdm's internally generated messages
    (i.e., not from libraries and external programs/scripts it uses) go to the
    daemon.* syslog facility; check your syslog configuration to find out to which
    file(s) it is logged. PAM logs messages related to authentication to authpriv.*.

  • Message "Backup disk identification has changed since the last copy"

    Hello!
    I have MD033 Time Capsule and my iMac 2012 and MacBook Pro connected to it. Time Machine is set to backup @ this disk.
    Every once in a while I get the message you see in attach on my machines. Approximately it means "Your backup disk identificator has changed since the last backup (Possible reason the disk was changed or erased since the last backup or someone is trying to make you make aт illegal backup not on your disk "
    I get this message from time to time both on iMac and MacBook but not simulateoneously. Once in a week or a month.
    I already reinstalled anew systems on my machines and even replaced time capsule itself to the same model (absolutely new, factory sealed), not even mentioning formatting its disk a dozen times and resetting TC.
    Does someone have same problem? Russian support couldn't help and directs me to a repair. But I really doubt that BOTH MacBook Pro and iMac have EXACTLY the same problem with TC. Everything seems as it is a software problem with some of the program

    today, my MacBook shows a Message "The identity of the backup disk has changed since the previous backup."
    Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
    It may not show anything useful, but try this: Disconnect all external and network volumes. In the Finder invoke the menu option Go > Go to Folder. In the resulting field type "/Volumes" (without the quotes) and click "Go". In the resulting window you should only see entries for any internal volumes. If you see anything else, particularly an item with the same name as your Time Machine volume, you may have the problem described in this article:
    http://db.tidbits.com/article/9620
    You should trash any such things. The way to prevent this in the future is to prevent any process from running that would write to external volumes that aren't mounted. For Time Machine, turn it off, then when you want to back up, mount the Time Machine volume and choose "Back Up Now" from the Time Machine menu item.

    Click: Restoring your iTunes Library backup (from an external drive) here >  iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
    BTW, if you are a resident of the U.S, have iTunes 10.3 or later, and iOS 4.3.3, you can re download your iTunes purchases for free.

  • "The identity of the backup disk has changed..."

    About 3 months ago I purchased my new MacBook Pro plus two WD 2TB network drives for Time Machine backups. One drive is kept at home and the other is at my office. (I believe in having backups at two physical locations.)
    The drives at both places are identical, with identical names and in both cases are connected to a BT router/DSL modem.
    All has been working nearly perfectly. (I say almost, because occasionally at home I'll get an error saying a backup couldn't be made because the disk wasn't available. Usually this clears up after a few subsequent attempts, or always after a reboot. Fortunately this doesn't happen often.)
    However, I'm now getting an error message every time I move from one location to the other:
    "The identity of the backup disk has changed since the previous backup.
    The disk may have been replaced or erased, or someone may be trying to trick your computer into backing up to the wrong disk."
    Fortunately, the dialog box is very visible and gives the option of going ahead and using the disk...which I do. As long as I'm in the same location, everything then continues to work without issue.
    This is most odd, as neither disk name has been changed and I was working for 3 months without anything like this happening.
    (I might add, with my previous Powerbook, I had an identical Firewire drive at both locations and having the dual backups worked flawlessly without issue for the entire time I used it...nearly two years.)
    Anyone have any idea why this weird message is now surfacing after 3 months of working fine?

    There was a thread here a few months ago with a very nasty problem, where a user had 3 or 4 identical WD externals, with different names, and was trying to use one with Time Machine. But Time Machine would try to back up to the first one connected, regardless of name!
    I didn't think it was possible, but sure enough, they all had the identical UUID from WD (they'd come formatted for a Mac, and the user had never reformatted or erased them, so OSX never put new UUIDs on them).
    I wonder if the UUID would be copied over if a disk is cloned? When using my first pair of external LaCie Firewire drives, I first set just one up as a TM backup. After the setup and first backup was finished, I used Carbon Copy Cloner to create an exact duplicate to the second drive. I did that deliberately in hopes TM wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It apparently worked as I could connect either disk and Time Machine would readily connect without complaint. Either the cloning procedure worked, or perhaps the drives already had identical UUID's as happened with the WD drives you mentioned. Any thoughts on this?

    If you haven't, try turning Time Machine OFF before you get that message. Then select the NAS via Time Machine Preferences > Select Disk. I think that will reset the element in the plist mentioned in that thread, and the problem will go away.
    I went ahead and tried this, but the condition still persists. When I have a chance, I'll go back and look at that other thread and see if I can glean anything useful from it. In the meantime, I may just have to live with the current situation. Thanks.

  • Lync 2013 Android - your server configuration has changed. Please restart Lync

    Lync 2013 on Android devices is giving error after every 5 minute "your server configuration has changed. Please restart Lync".
    Calls gets dropped when this error occurs.
    we are using server 2012 R2 as reverse proxy and have changed the Proxy time out for External web service URL to 960 secs with no luck.

    Hi M.Irfan84,
    I would like to confirm the following information.
    1. Do we have run “iisreset /noforce” to apply the change?
    2. And does this issue only impact on Android device?
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • External component changed

    Hi all,
    Could anyone help me on this ?
    When opening this VI (see attachement) on one computer it says that the VI was changed (external component changed) and that I have to save it. When I save it and open the VI again on a second computer, LabView outputs the same message, an external component has changed... so I have to save it... Back on the frist computer same message again... etc...
    I still don't know what's the 'external component' that changes from one computer to another... and how to find it.
    Thanks in advance for any help or hint...

    Thanks.
